*****update - looking for someone to start mid Oct 2025****

Hi there! We are a family of four living in the beautiful coastal village, Greystones, just south of Dublin. Our area is surrounded by natural beauty, with plenty of hikes, the Wicklow mountains, and the sea, all close to our home. We are originally from South Africa, but have been living in Ireland nearly 8 years. Wicklow county is an amazing county to visit and explore, it’s nicknamed the Garden of Ireland. We are surrounded by mountains, the sea, forests, lakes, lovely villages, and all within a short traveling distance to Dublin. We would be happy to assist you with planning trips around Ireland with tips about routes and places to visit.

We value family time, shared meals, wholesome cooking, time outdoors and community. We enjoy being outdoors, time at the sea (either on the beach or walking along the promenade), traveling and exploring. We don't own a TV and are not big into screen time, we prefer reading a good book or listening to music!

Our son, Jesse (3), enjoys playing with cars or blocks, kicking a ball, jumping on the trampoline, reading, trips to the pool, visits to the library and play dates at local playgroups etc.

The main work that we will need help with is with childcare. When the kids are asleep we will need help with household chores like tidying, cooking and cleaning. You will essentially become a member of the family. We will give you suggestions of activities to do with the kids at home and in the area to help pass the time.

**** Only interested in single, non-smoking female workawayers; must be willing to stay a minimum of 3 months; preference for someone with experience and interest in childcare

In your time off there are so many things that you can do. Local transport includes bus (stop near our home) and train (Dart) is 2km from our house, and provides access to Dublin. In your time off you could enjoy activities such as local hikes, sea swimming, local book club, mountain biking, cycling (we have a bike you can use), visiting local towns and villages and of course weekend trips to other parts of Ireland and further exploring/travelling. Nearby sights are the Botanic Gardens, Glendalough, Wicklow Mountains National Park, Lough Tay (where Vikings was filmed), Enniskerry, Powerscourt, Wicklow Town and of course we are only 50 mins or so from Dublin city centre by train. We are a non-smoker family and we don't have a TV!

Please do your research about the climate in Ireland. It's very changeable. You must come prepared with suitable clothing and have the right attitude to make the most of the situation.
