WE ARE LOOKING FOR RESOURCEFUL AND HANDS ON VOLUNTEERS

PLEASE CLEARLY MENTION YOUR SKILLS AND PAST EXPERIENCE IN THE MESSAGE YOU SEND AS WE RECEIVE MANY MESSAGES :)

    Ciao Workawayers!

We’re Leo (French) and Laura (Italian), a couple living in a sunny, peaceful home nestled in the countryside near Rome, with breathtaking views of Lago di Nemi. After years working in humanitarian missions across the globe—from Canada to South Sudan—we’ve returned to Europe to build something meaningful close to our families and nature.

We’ve recently founded a non-profit association dedicated to hosting people from all walks of life for immersive experiences in nature. Our vision is to create a space where guests/travelers can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and rediscover clarity and joy through introspection, community, and the healing power of the outdoors.

    🛠️ Who We’re Looking For
To bring this vision to life, we’re expanding our hosting capacity and need help with several hands-on projects:

    - Cleaning our garage
    - Assembling a compost toilet
    - Gardening
    - Harvesting olive trees
    - Cooking

Please clearly mention your skills in your message.

We’re looking for volunteers between January and April 2026. If you’re available and skilled, reach out!

    🏡 Life here:
    - Languages spoken: French, Italian, and English—perfect for cultural exchange and language practice
    - Nature immersion: Forests, lake hikes, and panoramic views right outside your door
    - Local charm: We’re just 1.2 km from Nemi, one of Italy’s most enchanting towns. From there, a short bus ride connects you to the train station for Rome (40 minutes away)
    - Amenities: Bikes available, cozy evenings by the fireplace, and shared meals on the terrace with birdsong and lake views

And of course, you’ll meet Wadi, our beloved ginger cat and unofficial mascot (check him out on Instagram : ask us for the link )

🌱 What We Offer in Exchange
    - Accommodation
    - Food
    - A warm, welcoming atmosphere
    - Time to relax, reflect, and enjoy nature
    - A chance to be part of something regenerative and inspiring

We’re looking for motivated, kind-hearted, open-minded, and energetic souls who enjoy working with their hands and contributing to a meaningful project. If this resonates with you and you have the right skills, we can’t wait to welcome you.

    Cheers,

    Leo & Laura

    🤝 What You’ll Gain

Hands-on learning: Develop or deepen your gardening, assembling skills in a collaborative, real-world setting.

Cultural immersion: Share daily life with people from different backgrounds, practice Italian, French, and English, and exchange ideas with open-minded, international volunteers.

Local exploration: Use our bicycles to explore the countryside or hop on a bus/train to Rome—just 50 minutes away—for a dose of city life and history.

Nature & relaxation: Stay in a spacious, comfortable home with a large garden, surrounded by forest and overlooking Lago di Nemi. Enjoy:
Quiet moments in the hammock with a view
Cozy evenings by the fireplace (coming soon!)
Refreshing dips in our natural swimming pool
Time to play guitar or piano, read books, watch movies, or simply rest in nature
Scenic hikes through the surrounding hills and lakeside trails

This is more than a work exchange—it’s a chance to reconnect with yourself, contribute to a meaningful project.
