Description
Hello! I'm Tilda; a 26 year old Swede who lives in central Stockholm and studies creative writing. To me, the best things in life are people, culture, food, and beautiful places - and that's why I love Workaway.
For my next adventure I have my eyes set on Europe - maybe Italy, Portugal, or Ireland - and hope to find a host that can host me for just a few days or up to a month. I would be happy to help around the house, hang out with and take care of any potential children, and/or take on new things (such as gardening) with the help of your instructions. I'm not super handy, but I suppose I could assist you with some projects or, for example, independently paint a fence/wall.
I would also be interested in exchanging Swedish or English with Italian. I already know a little bit of Italian...
Since I don't have a driving license or a massive budget, I'm looking for a host that can be reached through public transport and maybe an additional walk - or if you'd be willing to pick me up at a nearby station, that would work.
I think that's it for now, but I appreciate the importance of communication - especially if I am to stay in your home - so if there's anything you're wondering about; ask away. Hej så länge! -

I've studied creative writing in English and I'm always interested in taking my English a step further - I think it's a wonderful language. Lately I've also become interested in Italian, so I would love an opportunity to learn more and have someone be at least a little bit impressed when I drop a word or two 🥲 -

More details about your skills
I have experience of working in cafes and restaurants, and for more than 4 years I've worked as a swimming teacher for both children and adults. I work with a public swimming school, so - in accordance with Swedish policies - the focus is on breast stroke, back stroke, safety, and feeling comfortable in the water 🐬
For my next Workaway I would like to do practical tasks such as tending to weeds, doing laundry, painting fences, and/or engaging with children. I don't have much experience with gardening, but it's something I would like to learn more about - and I do have some knowledge of the Swedish flora which perhaps translates somewhat to other parts of Europe. I would also be interested in feeding chickens. And maybe hang out with some bees? I don't know! If you have something in mind that you think I could help you out with, I'm all ears!
Also! I would be interested in trying my hand at cooking. I don't have a proper kitchen at my place so I'm a wee bit rusty cooking wise, but I used to cook quite a lot when I lived at home, and every now and then I'll get excited about borrowing a friend's oven 🙃 -

I might have to tend to some distance studies while I'm with you - it depends on the season and how long I'm staying.
And yes, if you have a dog that barks and jumps up on me, I will be scared, but otherwise I'm really cool and courageous 🤞 -
