  Description

  I am 67 years old retired, my two boys aged 35 and 39 live in Cambodia and Nice in thz south east of France. With my recently deceased wife, we completely renovated an early 19th century charterhouse on the edge of the canal and the Garonne, surrounded by 16,000 m² of trees and a garden. We have already finished the electricity, heating, plastering, painting and swimming pool, but there are still the kitchen and the outbuildings. I need help with the decoration, the restructuring of the park, and the interior design. He will also have to help me with daily household chores, cooking and routine maintenance.
  
  Je suis retraité de 67 ans, mes deux garçons de 35 et 39 ans vivent au Cambodge et à Nice. Avec mon épouse disparue récemment, nous avons entièrement rénové une chartreuse du début 19 ème en bordure du canal et de la garonne, entourés de 16000 m² d'arbres et de jardin. Nous avons déjà terminé l'électricité, le chauffage, les plâtres, la peinture et la piscine, mais il reste encore la cuisine et les dépendances. J'ai besoin d'aide pour la décoration, la restructuration du parc, et l'aménagement intérieur. Il faudra aussi m'aider pour les tâches ménagères quotidiennes, cuisine et entretien courant.

  The setting is magical, and extremely calm. The village is quite lively, especially in summer. This place is ideal for recharging one's batteries. We hosted artists in residence there, who really appreciated the quality of the accommodation and the very inspiring place. They were able to rehearse there at leisure without inconveniencing the neighborhood.
  
  Le cadre est magique, et extrêmement calme. Le village est assez animé, surtout en été. Ce lieu est idéal pour se ressourcer. Nous y avons accueilli des artistes en résidence, qui ont beaucoup apprécié la qualité de l'hébergement et le lieu très inspirant. Il ont pu y répéter à loisir sans gêne pour le voisinage.

  Accommodation

  We have 3 suites for 4 people of approximately 60m², each with 1 bathroom and WC. So a total of 6 bedrooms, the main house is now completely renovated. Two bedrooms are equipped with a 180 bed, 2 with a 160, the rest with 90 beds. There are 5 toilets and 3 bathrooms and a large shower. The kitchen is located in the adjoining rooms, it is large and well equipped. Meals can be taken together with local products, our fruit and vegetable producer is at the bottom of the house.
  
  Nous disposons de 3 suites de 4 personnes d'environ 60m², chacune avec 1 salle de bains et WC. Donc un total de 6 chambres, la maison principale est désormais totalement rénovée.
  Deux chambres sont équipées en lit de 180, 2 en 160, le reste en lits de 90. Il y a 5 WC et 3 salles de bain et une grande douche.
  La cuisine se trouve dans les pièces annexes, elle est vaste et bien équipée. Les repas pourront être pris en commun avec des produits locaux, notre producteur de fruits et légumes se trouve au bas de la maison.

  What else ...

  Mainly nature activities with canoeing, kayaks nearby, rowing on the canal, bike rides on the greenway. Many festivities in summer, either in the village, with in particular a very lively farmers' market, the international journalism festival in July, GAROROCK at the end of June. A shuttle exists on demand for Marmande to Bordeaux station in 1/2 hour, and to Toulouse.
  
  Loisirs nature essentiellement avec canoé, kayaks à proximité, aviron sur le canal, balades à vélo sur la voie verte. De nombreuses festivités en été, soit dans le village, avec en particulier un marché de producteurs très animé, le festival international du journalisme en Juillet, GAROROCK fin juin. Une navette existe à la demande pour Marmande vers la gare de Bordeaux en 1/2 heure, et vers Toulouse.

  Nous avons installé deux prises RJ45 dans chaque pièce de la maison, complété d'un réseau WIFI MESH qui permet de recevoir internet à l'extérieur. La qualité du débit est très bonne, et permet de recevoir des vidéos.

  Le parc de 16000 m² permet de stationner facilement tout type de véhicule à l'ombre des grands arbres

  Notre petit chat est très sociable, mais nous ne savons pas quelle serait sa réaction avec certains animaux, donc nous sommes réservés. L'espace permettrait d’accueillir tout type d'animal dans de bonnes conditions.
