Description

Currently in Brazil, worked 1 month in a project in Serra De Mantiqueiras, doing some carpentry. I am now in the state of Bahia, looking for projects around here.

Hello, Sergio here, traveller, musician and looking to learn as much as possible from people, including carpentry, music, agroforestry, culture, language, skills, dance moves.

Also very interested in how to build a house, sustainable construction techniques, farming, permaculture, with experience in carpentry, plastering, timber preparation, wineries, flower nursery, hospitality, DIY and other industries and keen to learn new skills.

Most recent experiences and skills:
- For the first 8 months of 2023 I was in Genova, Italy, working in a mountain hut with 32 beds, carrying out many activities concerning hospitality, kitchen, service etc and also chainsawing timber for the winter, maintenance and gardening.
- From October till December 2023 I was in Ireland renovating a house, plastering, sanding, logging, and much more.
- In Ireland I also worked for an Auctioneer for 2 weeks and in a farm pruning with polesaw, logging, fixing roof leaks and cleaning gutter.
- in January 2024 I was in France, in the pyrenees, building the foundations for a deck. Concreting, Saw Milling the trunks, little plumbing and plastering and carpentry as well.

I am flexible about the type of work. I am strong and a quick learner so I will pick up quickly any new tasks/skills needed and I am sure I will be a great help for your project.

The possibility of getting to know new life point of views and people really motivates me.

I am also a musician, guitar and voice, I love practicing bodyweight training, meditating, breathing exercise and generally trying to listen and understand myself.

* In January 2024 I was in France, in the pyrenees, building the foundations for a deck. Concreting, Saw Milling the trunks, little plumbing and plastering and carpentry as well.

*From October till December 2023 I was in Ireland renovating a house full time, plastering, sanding, logging, and much more.

*In Ireland I also worked for an Auctioneer for 2 weeks and in a farm pruning with polesaw, logging, fixing roof leaks and cleaning gutters.

* In spring and summer 2023 I worked in a mountain hut in Genova, Italy; kitchen hand, waiting customers, cleaning rooms, cutting trees and preparing the timber, painting walls, gardening and biogas maintenance.

* During autumn and winter 2021, I've volunteered in a permaculture project in Spain; water retention - we reshaped the land with new "swales", terraces and ponds -reforestation, mandala gardening, vermicolture, gardening, vegetarian recipes etc.. I also built a wooden deck on a steep slope on the hill aimed to meditatation, yoga or training.

* Sourdough bread baker, everyone loved it.

* I have worked in wineries in Italy (Emilia Romagna, Lambrusco wine) and Australia (Margaret River, Shiraz and other varieties), planting vines, picking grapes and doing leaf plucking.

* In Perth I've worked in a flower nursery for a while, learning about how to prepare the soil, planting, growing and picking flowers.

*Cheese and yoghurt factory for a 4 months, in Australia, learning about this industry as well and producing camembert, brie and natural yoghurt.

* In Australia and UK I've worked in hospitality, from a Lebanese food truck in Perth to a coffee shop in the coffee lover city of Melbourne, to again another coffee shop in Oxford, UK, and also in El Palmar, Cadiz, Spain. I love coffee by the way :)
I believe I am able to connect with anyone :)

* I have good computer skills and business university background and business working experience.
Master degree in International Management and I've been working in Sales and Customer Relationship for a while in Italy (electric safety devices) and UK (musical instruments - Fender).

I'd be delighted to play guitar and jam along with someone. I can teach how to make sourdough bread and how to maintain the sourdough.
