Hi, we are Andrew and David! We have a permaculture project just outside of the town of Vejer de la Frontera in the province of Cádiz, Spain. We are a couple who have been working with permaculture for some years, and began the process of regenerating our 10-acre farm in 2014. We believe that correct water management is key to addressing climate change, and have a vision to create an abundant water retention landscape which will become an education center and model to inspire others in our area and beyond.

Help with Eco project
Travellers interested in Permaculture, organic/regenerative agriculture and beekeeping have a lot to learn. We are walking distance to a beautiful moorish town. We speak Spanish at home, though we also speak English if necessary.
Most of the work is outdoors, building swales, terraces, garden beds, paths, and planting. Watering, pruning, weeding, and other gardening are an integral part of our general maintenance. Some building and general help organizing are necessary as well.
Spanish, English, Turkish, French
Travellers will be accomodated in a wooden cabin (with a well-equipped kitchen, couch, wood-burning stove, sink and bathtub/shower). It hosts up to 4 people and in times of more volunteers we offer a yurt or weather-proof tents for sleeping, depending on the season. We have a 2 compost toilets and another outdoor shower for guests. We provide vegetarian and mostly organic and local food.
We are situated about 8 km from pristine beaches, and a 30 minute walk from town. There are many beautiful places to cycle and hike nearby. We can lend bicycles to travellers. Our region is known for the beaches, Flamenco music, great seafood, and Sherry wines. We are about a 45 minute drive from the city of Cadiz, or Tarifa. Buses are available, though only a few times per day.
