Hi! My name is Guste. I was born in Lithuania, but when I was 10 years old I moved to Norway where I've lived ever since.
However, after graduating in journalism last winter, I started to solo travel and I am so grateful that I did! I have done multiple workaways, met some wonderful people along the way and seen some spectacular sights. I want to keep on traveling, making more strangers into friends and keep learning about this wonderful world we all live in :)
I love to be surrounded by animals and friendly people while traveling. I also feel good when I do something useful with my hands, and contribute with any sort of task. I like being active in my days and having to complete a smaller or bigger goal. It makes me happy to see the progress on something that I do. And I also enjoy collaborating with other positive people.
Other than that, I love being in nature. I enjoy going on hikes or being close to a river or a forest.
Last but not least I really like music: dancing, singing, playing and listening to it :)

I am interested in learning Spanish and become more fluent. I can teach Lithuanian, Norwegian and English. If anyone is interested, I can also teach what I can in Spanish.

I have helped with garden work before such as watering, harvesting, digging, mowing the grass, raking, carrying leaves/pine needles that I have raked in big tarps and then burning them. As well as cutting down some plants with a machete and some simple work with bamboo. I have also done flower arrangements.

I have taken care of chickens, dogs and cats - given them food and water, cleaned out the places that they sleep, gone on long walks, bathed them and given them lots of love and attention :)

Cleaning is also something I have done quite a bit. Bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, communal areas etc.

Otherwise I would say that I am eager to contribute in whatever work needed. I love learning new skills, whatever they may be.

This is such a great workaway! I stayed at Village Seed for two weeks in October, and absolutely loved it! I really liked being immersed in nature with an outside kitchen and an outdoor shower. This is a great Workaway! I loved it here, and kept extending my stay :) the nature is absolutely beautiful with rivers, trees and mountains. The work is not too difficult, and I really enjoyed learning about permaculture. I also met some wonderful people here. If you get the chance to volunteer here - do it!

I had the most amazing time at the hostel! El Valle is a beautiful place, surrounded by mountains. The staff are super friendly and I had the chance to practice a lot of Spanish with them! I would highly recommend this Workaway :)

Gigi is simply the best. Such an amazing, chill and caring person. She helped us in many tasks at the park, from painting, housekeeping, to poop patrol and feeding the animals. I stayed here for almost two weeks at the beginning of December, and I really wish I had stayed longer. It was just enough time to start getting to know all the kids! The staff was really nice and helpful, very friendly :) and the food that Clarissa makes is so good, especially the lentil soup!

Guste stayed with us for about half a month which flew by way too quickly! She helped us with the usual cleaning and housekeeping but also with crafts (and learned to sew through that :)) and organizing an impromptu dance party. She got along great with the community.
