Description
Hello! I am Zan, a researcher from Cardiff. I am taking a six month sabbatical to travel, experience new cultures and places and meet new interesting people. I am hoping that workaway will help me get a sense of what the local life is like during my travels, while also allowing me to meet like-minded people. Back home, I am quite active and love nature. My main hobbies are surfing, swimming, running and hiking, while I also enjoy yoga. I like growing edible or not plants and gardening and I regularly volunteer at a local community garden. I love animals and I have a blind rescue cat from Athens. Learning languages and getting immersed in new cultures is something I deeply enjoy. I am fluent in English, Greek, French and German and I speak conversational Spanish and basic Italian. I am an amateur ceramicist but also like to dabble in many creative outlets, like crochet, drawing, film photography, embroidery and cooking. The kitchen is where my creativity can best flow. I believe that it is important to give back to the community and in my free time I volunteer at a local community centre for refugees.
