  • Description

I have strong belief in the saying that curiosity is a form of self love and that´s why I am letting it lead me through life. I am trying to be mindful about the mark we leave on the environment and to lead a sustainable lifestyle. Music and art move me deeply. To me, a good day is a day full of laughter. I am still learning to live in the present moment and to not rush ahead - appreciate the journey rather than the destination. I find it important to live free of judgment and prejudice and to keep an open mind about everything (within the lines of ethics). I am wildly inspired by the quote "Some people are so poor, all they have is money."

More details about my language interests
I am interested in every and any language because a language can tell so much about a culture. Equally so I would be glad to share some knowledge about my native language. And practicing conversational English is part of the process.

  • More details about your skills

Curiosity has lead me to try myriad of things in life. I consider my previous volunteer experiences most precious. I have volunteered short-term as an English teacher in Russia and Tanzania, as a sous chef in Switzerland, as an archeologist in Spain and France; done some interior renovation in Iceland and participated in children´s summer camps in Greenland. I have a degree in animal sciences and I find working with four-legged friends truly rewarding. I also have some training and practice in pedagogy; micro-degrees in photography and visual art therapy. I have worked at an ER and I know how to stay calm in difficult situations. I find great satisfaction in physical work (outdoor OR indoor) and also in team work. I like to approach everything with a creative mind and come up with new solutions and compromises. I am somewhat passionate about cooking and getting creative in the kitchen - I am good enough to get few "oh my gods" but not that good to compete in Masterchef. Projects involving empowerment are especially dear to my heart. I can pretty much pick up any new skill with some guidance if given the chance.
