    Description

Hello everyone, ever wondered what you would do stranded on remote island ? 🏝️ Turns you will eat coconuts and other fruity delish 🥭🥥 while living with wildlife and marinelife in harmony 🦅🦜🐢🐳

Introducing the finca at hearth of Panama Island in central america, where we are building community or rather eco village, where we can live our dreams and help each other in process. Remote place without other people in vicinity of hour(s) by boat, just us, doggos, nature, and animals!

We looking for families and individuals to join and help us to build here Fruit Paradise! We do all offgrid, having already good fruit yield of the land and planted hundreds of fruit trees! ☘️

We decided to extend our cultural exchange platform trough Workaway, where we can share our way of live with you, and you can experience raw nature and self-sustainability for yourself!

We can offer following : place for the tent, 10L water, 300w electricity, gas and cooker, seasonal fruit share, coconuts all you can eat, access to gym / weightlifting equip, shared orange one seater kayak and sup for enjoying the beach. And of course cultural exchange from our side, where, you are expected, to join as at our daily activities or work indepedently, as situation requires, around the farm to experience the island way!
We will try to introduce our place and way of living to you, so besides memories you learn a bunch while here!

Minimum stay is one month, food you need to cover yourself (seasonal fruits are not enough to cover your food needs), as well as the cover boat trip to the island is $150 one way trip from Palo Seco port, and need to be scheduled at least 3days ahead and is possible to be changed based on weather and sea conditions ( thus planning boat day ahead of flight departure is not good idea ). We can help you with the boat or you can organize it on your own of course, but need to be well communicated in advance

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We generally dont use chemicals ( sun screens, washing liquids, etc ).

    notable mentions :
    - toilet is squat to the compostable toilet ( hole in the ground with the bucket, no flushing, when full just adding full bucket to compost so later we will use it as nutrition for plants. If you are on medications let us know ahead )
    - 3+ doggies on the island ( plant based fed by us, but when fishermen come around they eat leftovers fish after them or random island bycatch )
    - transport to our property from mainland, by boat, gasoline alone is about $180, possible we cover the cost if aligned schedule with other workawayer arrival / departure. contact us for more details and we can plan it together to be cost and eco efficient!
    - cooking on solar cooker thus depended on the sun, during the cloudy days cooking might not be possible. But currently we have also gas cooker disponible :) Other option is campfire! :)
    - electricity is limited
    - internet access is starlink on two places on our farm
    - we are on high fruit diet, fully PB including dogiezzz
    - it is jungle more or less, thus encounters with wild animals is possible ( iguanas, spiders, cocroaches alike, scorpios - bicolored and devil, snakes, owls, canary, eagle, pelican, crabs, river shrimps, ants … ) though wide grass cutted road is most of the time present to avoid unexpected scenarios, but careful and mindful of where to step is needed nonetheless
    - no fridge
    - no shop on the island
    - no restaurant accessible at the island
    - limited running water
    - no cellphone signal ( except the top hill, unstable, but with long ranger antena network signal is ok )
