Hello everyone!

I’m Bjørn Egil – a curious and dedicated creator with a passion for craftsmanship, renovation, and working with people, especially children and youth. I love exploring life, seeking out new adventures where I can learn, experience new things, meet amazing people, and embrace whatever life has to offer.

My Journey & Workaway Goals

This summer, I’m traveling from Norway to Southeast Europe by car. My plan is to work for accommodation along the way, staying in different places for a few weeks at a time to fully experience the culture and lifestyle. Last year, I traveled through Europe and spent three months in Italy and 2 month last summer in the balticks, and now I want to repeat the adventure!

I try to reach out to hosts on my way, but if you dont anwhere in 3 days, I asume that youre not intrested in my exspertice!

A Little About Me & What I Can Offer

🔨 Craftsmanship skills: I am a trained cabinetmaker and woodcarver with extensive experience in renovation, painting (both interior and exterior), and general maintenance work. I have restored two large houses by myself in Norway, and I love creating with my hands!

🌱 Gardening and cultivation: I grow my own vegetables at home and enjoy planting, maintaining gardens, and learning more about sustainable farming.

👩‍👦 Working with people: I have a theoretical education in child and youth work. I have also a strong passion for supporting people with disabilities and mental health challenges. Currently, I work in schools with children who have different disabilities, and I have also led several woodturning courses for young people. Sharing knowledge and seeing others experience the joy of creating is something I truly value!

💡 Curious and solution-oriented: I love finding creative solutions and enjoy meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and contributing wherever I can.



Adaptability
Im an walking wheelchair user, for longer distances, I use my electric wheelchair. However, this doesn’t stop me from living an independent life and doing what I love! I adapt well to different situations and always give my best effort.

Since I am passionate about working with people, part of my plan is also to document how different countries support individuals with disabilities. One of my main goals is to inspire others to follow their dreams, no matter their challenges.
