  • Description

Hi guys, we are Nina and Toni from Germany.

Currently we are traveling and living together in New Zealand, looking for good people to meet and adventures to do.

Let us give you a quick overview about what we have been doing so far:

Nina (31) studied environmental engineering but was so excited to see something else then Germany that she left to Asia in the same week that she finished her degree. She traveled in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Italy staying with different host, doing housekeeping, general work on a wine yard or running a surf shop (Sadly the account belongs to the friend she was traveling with). After almost one year of traveling, she came back home and started to work as an engineer. However, this became too boring in the long run, so she left again for 3 years to live in Thailand and travel through Australia, Chile and Argentina. She went back to Germany again, but after 2 more years the same thing happend, so now she is in new Zealand!

At home Nina spends most of her time with her friends, doing sports like soccer, mountain biking, riding her motorbike, snowboarding, trying to learn how to surf, going camping or just relaxing in the nature. She is always up for any kind of sport that gives you a little adrenaline.

Toni, 24, is a master plumber and heating technician. She plays soccer and golf, and is always open to trying new sports. She spends most of her time on construction sites, where she also operates heavy machinery, including trucks, excavators, and tractors. When traveling, she loves meeting new people and hearing their stories. Growing up, she spent a lot of time on a farm with pigs, horses, and dogs; she truly appreciates the versatility of agriculture. She has a quick grasp of technical matters, a natural aptitude for logical thinking, and is skilled at handling all kinds of machinery and happy to help.

  • More details about your skills

I love doing physical work and working with my hands. Just all the things that people keep referring to as "man's work."
In my spare time in Germany, I helped friends build houses (masonry, drywall, electrical, plastering, paving, concreting), converted a cattle barn into a turkey barn, fixed our cars, built a pool in my backyard.... Everything was learning-by-doing, but the results were good ;)
I'd be more than happy to find a host where I could learn something new, or improve on things I've already tried once or twice! If you need a helping hand for any building or repairing task i would love to help!
Besides that i can of course help with some smaller computer problems, simple video editing or photo editing etc. like almost everyone in my generation.
