Me and my blue van (not van life van) are driving around Europe at the moment visiting friends, working on projects and seeing amazing places 🙂 But I would also like to visit some people that are not my friends (yet) and therefore would be interested in some workaway experiences.
I have a very broad background having grown up on an isolated self sustained farm in Australia, then I moved into the arctic circle in Norway. I have full qualifications as a welder/machinist and have worked extensively with electrical and plumbing systems as well as construction. In recent years I have taken a masters in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on renewable energies and optimization of resources. I have also worked for many years with Doctors without Borders in various countries throughout the world. While working for them my main responsibilities were construction, bio-medical equipment, solar systems, mechanical generators and vehicles etc.
I enjoy eating healthy food and taking care of nature and other living things. Also like to deepen the connection to who i really am and want to be.
I am friendly, open minded, like working with my hands, very creative and love finding good solutions with limited resources. I enjoy working with people and learning new things as well as teaching what I know to others. In my van I have a good selection of tools including a welder, air compressor, tile cutter, etc.
My planned route is France, then Spain, Portugal and ferry (maybe) to Sardinia. Then Sicily and Italy. After that I am not sure. I don't really have any time limit so I will just be taking it as it comes.
I am open to eco villages, farms, building projects, mechanical projects, festival setups and most things that involve hands on work. Here are some pics of things I have been working on so far this trip as well as a few older projects.
