Description
I love to travel and learn about other cultures. I just returned from a month long trip in Europe. While I won’t be traveling in the next few months, and I’d love to welcome other travelers into my home for community, teamwork, experience sharing, and knowledge transfer, while also achieving some Summer goals here at home. Work is always more rewarding when you have new and interesting people to share it with.
My summer goal is to freshen up a three-story home —The tasks are varied and hands-on, so there’s always something to contribute to regardless of skill level. Experience is helpful but not required—what matters most is a strong work ethic, common sense, attention to detail, and a cooperative, positive attitude. If you’re dependable, willing to learn, and enjoy being part of a collaborative project, you’ll fit in well here.

Help
I would like someone with the capacity to help with light home projects, household tasks, gardening, and easy lawn tasks. I can/will provide guidance and reasonable supervision. I just need someone with the capacity to learn, a reasonable level of hand-eye coordination, and most-importantly, a great attitude.

Accommodation
The Workawayer (s) will have their own bedroom and a shared bathroom. The kitchen, dining room and living room will also be shared with me, the host. The Workawayer(s) will also have access to internet. Standard food items/meals will be provided (eggs, veggies, meats/proteins, etc). Any special food requirements will be the responsibility of the Workawayers (s).

What else ...
The Workawayer(s) will be responsible for their own transportation. I have a vehicle and can accommodate occasional rides, but not always. We can also go on outings together, if the situation arises.
The Workawayer(s) can spend their free time as they wish, but I expect responsible behavior. I would like someone who is not a drug user or a heavy drinker. Light drinking is fine. I would also like someone who is reasonably tidy and can keep their space clean and will pick up after themselves, and is respectful and considerate of others. If a Workawayer has a pet, we can determine whether that can be accommodated (case-by-case).

I stayed about 2 months with Colleen and it was the best workaway experience.
Colleen is very easy-going. She was very communicative from the beginning and explained clearly what kind of work she expected from me. It was very easy to understand and very easy to do.
I had flexible schedule and full freedom to do the… read more
