Hey!
I'm Maisie and from May '26, I’ll be setting off on a true adventure around the world. Eek!
I joke that I have lived my life backwards. I did the “sensible” things early - marriage, mortgage, successful career as a Maths Teacher. But 2025 changed everything for me (for the better!!). I quit the classroom for more balance, got healthier, turned heartbreak into opportunity, and am now selling my house for a big adventure on the road.
I am ready to experience everything that life has to offer and to meet and connect with people of all walks of life, truly exploring the infinite ways to do life and to enjoy our short time on this planet.
I have a loud laugh, I am infuriatingly positive, and I am kind (apparently too much so, but I don't believe there is such thing).
I am an artist, a writer, a musician, a reader, a rugby player, a chef, an academic, a teacher, a critical thinker, and a student of life.
I thrive off connection and shared stories around the table, and will dive right in.
Whilst I am new to Workaway, I am not new to responsibility, collaboration, or adapting quickly. If you are looking for a volunteer with an open mind and a willingness to get stuck in, I'd love to connect!

I LOVE a good board game (I’m happy to read the rules, though my friends might say I’m a little too competitive...).
I love jam sessions, dancing around the kitchen to good tunes, taking picnics to the middle of nowhere, and want to jump in the sea more (even though I find it a little scary!).
