    Description

We are Cedric & Abigail, 37 years old, living in the South of France with our 4 months old baby. We are launching a beautiful project with a greenhouse to produce organic food, we aim to set up a pedagogic farm for schools and plant more fruit trees. The project aims to reconcile all generations with environment, raise awareness about nature and sustainability.

It is a private self sufficient homestead, producing for our own consumption. This summer, we welcomed schools and we wish to open to youngsters and all publics to reconnect with nature.

This project takes place in the beautiful green heart of La Farlède between sea and mountain. We have 1 caravane and a few tents (under trees) to accomodate you in.
You will get to know the French culture with the cuisine and the language!

If many Workawayers are here at the same time, then we can organise a rotating system where 1 person a day cooks for all, so we'll be able to discover many dishes from different countries!

Experience is a bonus but not essential. We also need help with gardening and landscaping and general help in the house, including moving furniture or equipement.

Our family (father and grandmother) live on the same ground, so we'll ask you to respect their privacy.

A minimum of 2 week stay is best for us.

We do not provide breakfast, but we will provide organic food for lunch and diners.

We look forward to having fun and sharing with you !

You will learn about organic farming. 🌱🍏

Also, you will live in one of the most attractive places in France, 20 minutes away from the Mediterranean sea and its gorgeous wild beaches and 20 min away from 3 little mountains (named le Faron, le Baou and le Coudon). 🌊Here all the water sports are at hand (surf, kite surf, sailing, diving...) and there are many hikes with stunning views.

Also, we love playing music 🎶around a fire at night, walking through the forest with our dogs
talking about our lives, spirituality, making connections...

March-May: planting veggie seeds, watering plants, cutting fig trees
    May-August: harvest veggies
    August-October: fig picking
November: olive picking and olive tree cutting

Some of the other missions may include taking care of our little 7 months old baby, cooking for my grandmother Mamie Jacqueline who is 89, walking the dogs out, general maintenance...

It is a private self sufficient homestead, producing for our own consumption.

    Accommodation

We offer 2 possible types of accomodation: 1 caravane which is placed in the fig and olive field. There is electricity and water. An outdoor shower and toilets are also available for workawayers.

If the caravane is already taken, there is room for tents (which we can provide with sleeping equipment).

We propose meals which can be vegetarian and gluten free if needs be.
We do the grocery shopping for lunches and dinners, then you are free to cook how you want ! if there are more than 2 volunteers, we propose a rota system.
