  • Description

My first great value? Family. I live in the northeast of Italy, near Bologna, in a rural village with my mother and my sister. I have two dogs, who are my life. Unconditional love for animals is another constant in my life, along with my love for nature. I believe they are clearly superior to humans and that we have so much to learn from them.

My second most important value? Freedom. I believe we only have one life and that we should live it to the fullest, traveling as much as possible. Traveling is one of my greatest passions, along with writing, and I owe it to my grandparents, who took me abroad with them from a very young age.

That’s exactly my goal right now: to travel and practice my English. At the moment, my English is basic because after high school I lost fluency and vocabulary. But I’m convinced that once I’m there, I’ll find a way to make myself understood over a nice plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce, which is my specialty 🍝

I’ve always had two sides to me: you’ve already figured one out… animals, nature, the outdoors. The other is writing: I’m lucky because I’ve turned my passion into my job. After my degree in Languages and Cultures for Editing and Publishing and two master’s degrees in Milan, I became a Content Editor (who knows, maybe one day I’ll become a famous writer!)

What else could I say about myself? Some people think I’m shy, but that’s just how I come across at first: I’m actually very sociable, I talk a lot, and sometimes I’m even quite talkative (who knows if I’ll be like that in English too 😂).

I’m a little crazy and I love adrenaline: I’ve been paragliding, skydiving, ziplining, and bungee jumping. I’m very stubborn, in the sense that once an idea gets into my head, it’s easier to detach it from me than to get rid of it. I’m a very organized and flexible person: I like to plan ahead but I can adapt to any situation that comes my way.

During these four years of smart working, I need to "detox from the desk" and be in contact with real people and nature. Who knows where the next experience will take me! 🤞🏻

I studied in Italy, where I live. Given my love for languages and my dislike of mathematics, I attended a language-focused high school, where I studied English, French, and German. Then, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Cultures for Editing and Publishing in Verona (3 years). Finally, I completed two Master’s programs in Milan at the RCS Academy, the school of Corriere della Sera, a well-known Italian newspaper: the first one is Communication & New Media, and the second one Digital Marketing and Social Media Communications.

After graduating, I started putting into practice what I enjoyed and what I had studied for: writing. The only difference was that I had to dress it up in a digital and somewhat social outfit. I was first hired as a Social Media Manager at Jakala S.p.A., a large Milan-based company specializing in marketing technologies. There, I later became a Content Editor, which is my current profession.

However, my first work experience was not in Digital Marketing, but in Events and Promotions. During my university years, I started working occasional jobs, such as promoter in a shopping center and hostess at trade fairs. Later, in my third year of university, when it became more difficult to balance work and study, I worked in the evenings as a cloakroom attendant and as a cashier in a Club.

I love animals, which is why I volunteer at a private dog shelter in my town. I take them for walks when I have time at the weekends. I would like to do it more often, but it's difficult to balance work and my passions.

  • What else ...

Travelling is one of my greatest passions. I have always travelled a lot, thanks to my grandparents, who took me on long trips abroad when I was a child. With them, for example, I visited the United States far and wide. Later, I also travelled extensively in Europe with my parents. In 2022, I took my first solo trip: 10 days in Iceland to see the Northern Lights... yes, I really saw them!

I also travelled a lot thanks to my school: every year, we had a week abroad as a “language internship”, which allowed me to visit Antibes, Worthing, Dublin, Vienna and Malaga. In my third year of secondary school, I did another language course at a college in Miami.

And today? I travel whenever I have a free weekend. At the weekends, to recharge my batteries, I like to take short trips around Europe (the last one was to Norway). But what I love most are long hikes in the mountains, where I feel truly free and completely myself.
