  • Description

    Description

Hi! My name is Carlo, our family home and growing garden project in the mountains of San Ramón, Costa Rica. We are a warm, 100% Costa Rican family who love nature, cultural exchange, good conversations and creating beautiful spaces together.

Our property is surrounded by gardens, terraces and incredible views of the Gulf of Nicoya and the Central Pacific. We also have a small family business on the property with relaxing outdoor spaces where we spend time together and enjoy the mountain lifestyle.

This is still a project “in diapers” — slowly growing step by step with love, creativity and community. We are developing vegetable gardens, improving outdoor spaces and creating a peaceful environment connected to nature.

We love meeting people from different cultures who enjoy simple living, teamwork, gardening, creativity and sharing experiences. This is a calm and safe place where you can enjoy Costa Rican mountain life while helping us build something meaningful.

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for volunteers who enjoy gardening, nature, sustainability and helping maintain a clean and organized home environment.

The help is around 4 hours per day, preferably during the mornings, leaving afternoons free for relaxing, exploring or working on personal projects.

    Main tasks may include:

    Maintaining and improving vegetable gardens
Removing weeds and helping with planting
    Applying compost or fertilizers
General garden care and outdoor maintenance
    Cleaning and organizing shared spaces
Helping maintain the house and terraces
    Small creative or organizational improvements
Taking initiative with systems or ideas that could improve the house or gardens

Because it is located in a rural mountain area and has open spaces connected to nature, cleaning and maintenance are very important here. We really appreciate volunteers who are clean, organized, proactive and respectful of shared spaces.

We especially appreciate people with some knowledge of agriculture, permaculture or gardening, but we are also happy to welcome motivated people willing to learn and help.

    We accept:

    One volunteer at a time
    Couples traveling together

    Minimum stay: 2 weeks
    Maximum stay: 4 weeks

    Accommodation

Volunteers stay in a private room with access to shared bathrooms and common areas.

There is a shared kitchen where I prepare my meals, and volunteers are welcome to use the kitchen and cooking tools anytime. Volunteers provide their own food, but they are welcome to store and prepare everything they need in the kitchen.

We simply ask everyone to keep the kitchen and shared spaces very clean and organized.

The house has beautiful mountain views, fresh air, peaceful surroundings and a relaxing atmosphere ideal for people who enjoy nature and simple living.

The area is peaceful and safe, with access to public transportation and local stores.

We are always happy to help volunteers with travel information, transportation tips or recommendations for places to visit around Costa Rica.

If you are someone who enjoys nature, simple living, teamwork, gardening and meaningful cultural exchange, we would love to welcome you 🌱
