    Description

Hey there, fellow adventurer! Thanks a bunch for checking out our profile. Feel free to shoot us a message if you fancy what you see—we're quick to reply, usually within a day. When you drop us a line, share your preferred arrival and departure dates. Dive into the details below, and don't hesitate to ask if you've got any questions on your mind!

We are currently in search of enthusiastic individuals who are ready to join us. Our farm is always bustling with activities such as planting flowers, trees and vegetables, as well as cutting grass, pruning bushes, tending to our apple trees and practicing organic weeding. In the off-season, we stay busy fixing tools, building planters, volunteering for local charities and giving the farm a spruce-up. Your helping hand would be a fantastic addition to our picturesque setup in the Okanagan Valley!

Nestled in the breathtaking Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, specifically in the charming town of Coldstream, our farm holds a special place in our hearts. Having relocated from Texas in 2022, our family took the time to explore various regions of Canada, including Vancouver and Victoria. However, it was the natural beauty of Coldstream that captured our hearts and persuaded us to make it our home.

Our hobby farm spans across 8 acres, with 2 acres dedicated to cultivating two apple varieties. In addition to apples, we have an assortment of cherries, pears, peaches, apricots, and plums. Our vegetable garden boasts a diverse range of plants, which we rotate annually. Flowers are also an integral part of our farm, bringing joy to everyone with their vibrant blooms. As a non-commercial farm, we primarily donate our produce to local charities, contributing to the community in meaningful ways.

The seasons of spring, summer, and fall are truly magical here in the Okanagan Valley. The abundance of nature surrounding us offers endless opportunities for exploration and adventure. Moreover, the town is just a short 15-minute drive away, providing easy access to additional amenities and attractions.

While winters on the farm may be slower compared to the rest of the year, we stay engaged with various small projects. What sets our winter apart is the opportunity to revel in the snowy wonderland. For those who enjoy skiing, there is a resort a mere 35 minutes away. Additionally, activities such as ice skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, winter tubing, fat biking, and snowmobiling are readily available for those seeking winter thrills.

If you prefer more relaxed activities, our farm offers high-speed internet, Netflix, video games, a pool table, and a selection of board games, just to name a few. In other words, there is something for everyone here on the farm and in the surrounding area.

I cannot guarantee that you will have a fantastic time here, as that ultimately depends on you. However, what I can assure you is that you'll have the opportunity to forge meaningful friendships, perhaps even ones that last a lifetime. Our farm typically hosts a diverse group of 6 to 8 individuals from various corners of the globe, many of whom have traveled extensively. Surprisingly, historically, about 9 out of 10 of them are incredibly kind and genuine, much like yourself. The fact that many visitors wish to extend their stay speaks volumes about the welcoming and enjoyable environment we cultivate here at the farm.

So, if you're ready to embrace a busy and fulfilling experience surrounded by natural beauty and a welcoming community, we wholeheartedly invite you to join us on our farm in the Okanagan Valley.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

The entire farmhouse is intended for the use of our guests. It features four bedrooms, each designed to accommodate two travelers. Three of these rooms share a common bathroom, while one room has its private bathroom. Occasionally, you may share a room with another traveler, but most of the time, you'll have a room all to yourself.

The house has a spacious kitchen at your disposal, along with a comfortable living room equipped with a TV, chairs, and sofas. In addition to the main house, we have a separate old house, which we refer to as a workshop. This workshop is equipped with heating and air conditioning and includes a room suitable for two people, a kitchen, and a full bathroom.

Furthermore, we've added an RV to our accommodations, which we obtained from a previous guest. This RV is available for use when needed.

To cater to your connectivity needs, we offer high-speed Internet for streaming Netflix, and we also provide dedicated desk spaces if you prefer to work on your computer.

We order food on a weekly basis, and it's common for travelers to arrange communal meals together. You have the option to be self-sufficient with your food requirements or join others in preparing meals. Please note that we are unable to accommodate individuals with severe food allergies or sensitivities, as each guest is responsible for selecting their own menu. Personal preferences are welcome, and you will be responsible for preparing your own meals.
