Hello, I am Jiří from the Czech Republic. When I was 20 years old, I fell in love with traveling. I worked, studied and volunteered for a long term in various countries including the USA, Denmark, Portugal and Malta. I finished a master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering, however I am taking my time before I will settle down. I prefer to use this time of my life to go on adventures like traveling, exploring new cultures, exploring myself and finding what's meaningful in life. Thankfully, I discovered volunteering which combines all of that :) So far, I have been helping out in 2 animal shelters for dogs & cats, and went on Workaway to 2 animal farms and to a hostel on the way to Santiago de Compostela. I love to meditate, exercise, go on hikes, dumpster dive, do origami, dj, hitchhiking, rock climbing, slacklining, snowboarding and basically being active.

I have an experience with caring for dogs, cats, birds and farm animals like chickens, goats and donkeys. I also grew up with multiple dogs, guinea pigs, rats and a rabbit.
I am used to jobs involving physical labor. I see it as an opportunity to exercise. However, I have some chronic pain in my back and knees that I need to be patient with.
I also don't shy away from the house chores like cleaning, organizing or cooking some of our national dishes.
Moreover, I can help with any tasks related to computers or internet.

Jiri, is a wonderful young man, helpful, energetic and friendly. He was happy to help with any work that I presented him with, from sailing, animal care, firewood, cooking and cleaning.

Staying at Leea's place was wonderful. If you like being around animals, look no further. You can cuddle with the dogs, pet the cat, talk with the parrot, collect the eggs from the chickens and take care of the donkey and goats. Helping at the watermill was overall a great experience. I enjoyed working outside a lot and I met many interesting pilgrims on their way to Santiago. Nicolaus was fair and you will get along with him easily.
