    Description

Stunning stone house nestled in a beautiful garden and woods and surrounded by 1000 acres of Open Space and wild life. Seclusion at its best. We own a small farm with a garden and animals. The property sits on an old granite quarry that operated from the late 19th century until about the 1920s. The stone house was originally built as a dormitory for the quarry workers. We have a beautiful field at the bottom of the hill which could be used for tenting in the summer and beds in the house in the winter for our volunteer's sleeping arrangements. There is a bonfire pit and the space is surrounded by the gardens and woods. It bumps up against a bike path that goes down to a near by lake and continues all the way to Providence (about a two hour bike ride). The extra rooms in the house itself are rented out for air bnb. Biking distance to anything you may need, the nearby town is about five miles from the property.

For animals we have 1 dog, cat and parrot, a donkey, goats about 15 laying hens and still looking to expand.

We have a full time fire wood operation and a renovation project up the street.

We own a sailboat, so there may be opportunity there as well, in the summer months.

Day trips to Boston, Cape Cod, New York City, Newport, and Providence.

We are carefree, fun, creative people who love to have a good time, eat good food, and love to take care of this beautiful property. We hope to make the most of its abundant resources from gardening, stone, animals, firewood, and carpentry and we could use all the help we could get.
We love hosting and meeting new people from other cultures, working on projects, gardening, sailing and being outside

We are fun, easy, creative, and love to have a good time with good people, good food, good conversations about life, and the things that matter most. Feel free to say hello if there's something you would like more information about or are interested in coming to stay!

It's a small farm with the common farm tasks: taking care of the animals (feeding them and putting them in their coop and barn at night), cutting and stacking wood (we have a hydraulic splitter and tractor) pruning and weeding, gardening, small construction projects, cleaning and tidying. Essentially all the tasks that keep a house and small farm running.
