Our center is an active community of volunteers and staff members hosting a wide variety of international programs, seminars and retreats geared towards personal growth and well-being. Besides supporting the groups that we host at the center, we are also developing a program for our volunteers, including early morning group meditation, workshops and other group activities.
The help we need is varied and depends on the activities at the center on any given day. We mainly host small to medium groups of people who attend workshops or stay with us for several days. We have several unique seminar rooms and 24 bedrooms. Our volunteers help us with supporting the workshops, retreats and seminars; this could be getting the seminar rooms ready, welcoming guests, maintaining of the domain grounds and work around our beautiful gardens.
Ideal volunteer would be a non-smoker, health/nature conscious with an interest in personal growth, community building and a healthy lifestyle.
Not only will you be able to experience traditional Belgian lifestyle, you will also experience a multi-national, multi-cultural eco-friendly living environment. Within a supportive community of both international and local volunteers, you will gain different kinds of work experiences that will be both practical and rewarding.
English, French, Flemish, German.
We offer our Workaway volunteers shared bedroom accomodation. Volunteers do share a bathroom, community space and restroom area. There is also a laundry facility available. All meals are included. We also offer free Wi-Fi.
Enjoy a morning jog around the castle grounds or along the nearby canal and enjoy the beautiful sunrise, or walk any of the many paths in the green farm fields, to the lake or nearby villages. We have a bike especially for our volunteers and the train station is only a short walk away so you can enjoy day trips to Antwerp, Brussels, Gent or Mechelen.
We would prefer our Workaway Volunteers to stay with us for a minimum of one month.
