Please note that when traveling from a COVID-19 red zone, we ask you to provide a negative COVID-19 test and and carry insurance prior to arrival at the center. The test should be conducted at the earliest 72 hours before departure to Belgium. The minimum age requirement to join our international team of volunteers is 25.
Our center is an inspiring place to connect, learn, discover and renew in the heart of Europe, in Belgium. We host a variety of local and international retreats, workshops, seminars and events for all seeking to discover and create new opportunities for growth, change and well-being. We offer a unique setting with beautiful gardens to nurture and uplift body, mind and soul. We serve organic and vegetarian food for our guests and volunteering crew.
We invite you to explore, learn and actively participate in an environment supporting self-transformation and share with us the enriching way of living. We openly welcome people to join us to participate in our daily rhythm and live in the community for a period of minimum 6 weeks or more. For those who are staying with us longer there is an opportunity to experience different programs, participate in different retreats, or play a more active role within the center.
We are now also offering individual retreat programs for guests who are looking to unwind for a couple of days in a beautiful green and peaceful environment. Our volunteers actively help us support these programs by offering yoga, meditation and mindfulness activities.

Our center is an active community of volunteers and staff members hosting a wide variety of international programs, seminars and retreats geared towards personal growth and well-being.
The help we need is varied and depends on the activities at the center. We mainly host small groups of people who attend workshops or stay with us for several days for retreats. Our crew of international volunteers helps us with supporting the workshops and seminars, this could be getting the seminar rooms ready, welcoming guests, check-in and check-out, maintaining of the gardens and taking care of our chickens, dog and cats.
In your free time you are welcome to stay at the center and enjoy the environment.
Our center is a place of stillness, tranquility and perfectly suited for meditation practitioners who can enjoy the natural surroundings. We also have different rooms where you can watch a movie, do yoga, meditate or engage in any other practice you enjoy.
If you choose to stay at the center during your time off, It is important to stay active, positive and creative pursuing personal interests or working on a personal project at the center. We do provide and organize group activities, depending on the schedule at the center.
During your days off, you are also welcome to visit and explore other cities. If your time-off consists of two consecutive days, you may also choose to stay overnight in another city. Consecutive days off requests have to be discussed with our volunteer manager. We are only 20 minutes walking from the train or bus station or 5 minutes by bike. Brussels and Antwerp are very within close proximity of the center. (30 minutes by train)

If you’re passing through and are looking only for a place to eat and stay while visiting other cities or countries, we are not a good match for you.
Ideal volunteer would be a non-smoker, health/nature conscious individual with an interest in personal growth, community building and a healthy lifestyle. We are looking for people who want to be an active part of our team. We do ask our international volunteers to make a commitment for at least 6 weeks to fully integrate with our team of local volunteers and staff.
A proficient knowledge of the the spoken English language is also required.
Our international volunteers work daily shifts of 5 hours a day.
We strive to give our best, and we expect your best as well. Upon arrival, this center becomes your home, a place where we really care about each other. We pay attention to details and put a lot of love and care in the work we do.
Sharing meals is an important part of our life at the center. You are expected to join us on time for all meals, expect on your free days where you can choose to skip a meal.
We offer a smoke free environment for our volunteers.
We offer our Workaway volunteers shared bedroom accomodation. Volunteers do share a bathroom, community space and restroom area. There is also a laundry facility available. All meals (organic/vegetarian) are included. We also offer free Wi-Fi.
Enjoy a morning jog around the castle grounds or along the nearby canal and enjoy the beautiful sunrise, or walk any of the many paths in the green farm fields, to the lake or nearby villages. We have bikes especially for our volunteers and the train station is only a short walk away so you can enjoy day trips to Antwerp, Brussels, Gent or Mechelen.
