Eleanor was an absolute delight to host! She brought such a light, airy energy to our home—always with a bright smile and a genuine warmth that made every day feel more joyful. Intelligent, thoughtful, and incredibly capable, she approached every task with enthusiasm and care, turning even the simplest chores into pleasant moments. Beautiful inside and out, Eleanor is one of those rare souls whose presence just lifts everyone around her. We felt truly lucky to have shared time with her—she left our place (and our hearts) brighter than she found it. Highly, recommended!

Spending two weeks in the end of the year with Julieta was a gift in so many ways. She is a great artist, practical solution finder and handy with all kinds of materials like clay, mosaic, drills,.. and above all: she is a wonderful friend! Next to deep dive into projects in the house I treasure our many laughters, deep conversation about art and life, Cumbia dances, dinners at the fire, Winter Solstice ceremony, singing together and daily stretch meet ups. Thanks a million beautiful being, see you soon in Galicia!

This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had and an overall perfect Workaway match for me. The amount of work was very reasonable. Since working with cars is my hobby, I truly enjoyed spending time on these tasks. Lenny even insisted a few times that I take more time to relax and explore the surrounding area. It was great that Lenny didn’t mind letting me use his cars, and it was very exciting to drive different ones from time to time. All of them are convertibles and each has its own unique character. One could be very comfortable, while another was very sporty, with such a stiff clutch that after an hour-long drive it felt like leg day 😉. Anyway, it was amazing to have the opportunity to try them all. I also really enjoyed our conversations on many different topics. I’m very grateful to Lenny for inviting me to spend Thanksgiving with his friends. It made the experience even more special.

Honestly, these guys are just the best! I had a lovely time staying with the family for a few days, they were super welcoming from the start. They showed me the ropes of the area and how to look after their sweetheart pets, Tui and Sharie. I also got to meet their lovely parents/grandparents, play volleyball with Lotti, and we even went mushroom picking — though no one can outpick Elke, who found the most mushrooms! They then went on a family holiday, and I stayed to look after the house and pets while they were away. The home is warm and comfy, and Tui was an absolute darling, a little bit needy, but it made for lots of couch cuddles, bush walks, and park trips chasing sticks. The house is in a nice, quiet neighbourhood and public transport was easy to navigate. Being at the very start of my move to Berlin, this was the perfect place to land. They taught me a lot about Germany, and it was especially comforting to be in a Kiwi/German home. They even invited me back to join their wonderful Christmas celebrations! Thanks again guys, I appreciate how welcoming and organised you were as hosts, which made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would happily recommend staying with you to anyone looking for a friendly and caring Workaway experience :)

I spent three weeks with this lovely family, and it was such a great first experience as a workaway. Yolanda is so generous and wants to make you feel comfortable and at home. Thank you for this very special Christmas, where I was part of the family. Sara and Hugo are both very respectful and easy-going children. I loved my time with them!

Matilda is a special girl! One of the best au pairs we've ever hosted. Despite being so young, she always knows how to handle situations with the children, even the most critical moments, and I was always at ease when I left them alone because I knew she was super reliable. She's a kind and polite girl like few others. She's also the winner of our cooking challenge: we always ask our workawayers to prepare a typical dish from their country, and she cooked a fantastic dinner and won out of over 30 people :D We miss you so much and hope to see you again soon! <3

I stayed there for two weeks. Even though I didn’t know much about their culture before my stay, they were very kind, taught me many things, and warmly welcomed me.I’m not vegetarian, so I was a little worried about the meals at first, but the food was delicious and pleasantly surprising. When I wasn’t feeling well, they kindly adjusted the schedule for me, which I really appreciated.Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay:)

I had a truly wonderful two weeks with Naceur's family. Taking care of three children at the same time each with completely different personalities can be a bit busy, but it was also a lot of fun. I think bringing plenty of games and creative ideas makes the experience even more enjoyable. The kids understand English well, so communication was smooth and easy. From the moment I arrived at their home, they welcomed me very kindly, and I felt comfortable right away. Unfortunately, I wasn’t feeling well for a few days during my stay, but they were very caring, checked on me, and even gave me medicine, which I really appreciated. We also spent quality time together on weekends, going out as a family. They taught me how to cook tagine and shared the Moroccan style of meals with me, which was a great cultural experience. They welcomed me so warmly that after leaving, I felt truly sad and miss them already. I would love to spend time with them again!

I stayed at Herve place for one month. He is a very kind, open-minded, humorous, and calm person. I was able to laugh and enjoy every day during my stay. For anyone who wants to experience a peaceful life in the French countryside, this is truly a wonderful place to stay. It is also close enough to visit Lyon on days off, so you can enjoy city life as well. I definitely plan to come back again in someday:)

I had a beautiful experience staying with Saskia and Roza on their farm. The place itself is wonderful, surrounded by nature with beautiful views, making it a very peaceful and inspiring environment. Everything was really easy-going. We helped in the garden and really enjoyed learning about their lovely farm and their raspberry project. From the moment they picked us up at the train station until the very last day, they were incredibly kind and welcoming. The atmosphere in the house was warm and friendly — we cooked and ate together, made music, danced, and shared great moments with the other volunteers. It truly felt like being part of a family. Thank you both so much for everything. I’m very grateful for this experience.

La etapa de conocer a Miquel y pasarte por Eparreguera te recomiendo NO saltártela jaja. I had a very good experience staying with Miquel! He is a clear, honest and respectful host. From the beginning he explains how things work in the house, what is expected, and gives you space to organize yourself. The tasks were reasonable and flexible, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Communication was easy and open, if you need something or have a question, he is available and willing to talk. The environment is social and dynamic. Through Miquel I met many of his friends and people from his circle, which made the stay much more interesting and helped me feel welcome in the area. Thank you, Miquel, for the opportunity and for hosting me!! :D

From the moment I arrived, Cornelius and Veerle made me feel at home. They are both very kind, interesting, and very nice people. I really enjoyed our conversations and everything they shared with me about the city and their knowledge on many very interesting topics. They are always willing to help and to teach you new things. I’m very thankful for the experience and hope to see them again in the future. And I must mention — Veerle’s cooking is absolutely amazing!

She was doing great, hard working , open minded. She had sense what is the work of volunteer and no need to remind her. She cooked very nice Italiano which members of my community loved . We hope to see you again soon in Brasil.

Hans is a nice guy with a big heart. He has a beautiful project in which he is planting trees for his 3 grandchildren. ASK him about it! We had a nice time together and Hans helped us a lot with everything he were able to. Many thanks again!

I had a very pleasant stay with Thierry and Anne. Both of them are very friendly and welcoming, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to help them both in Paris and in Cabourg. Cabourg is a beautiful place, and I really enjoyed the time I spent there. The experience overall was calm, enriching, and very enjoyable. I highly recommend them as hosts. They are truly great people and excellent hosts. Thank you again for everything!

I had a wonderful time staying with Richard in Bilbao. His project is very interesting! Especially his idea of creating and moving a bonsai garden to his home, which I really enjoyed being part of. The work was fun and always enjoyable, and the days we spent together — along with the other volunteers — were full of good experiences and great moments! I stayed at the hostel for about a month during the summer and had a really great experience! Islam is an amazing host! Very kind, supportive, and always attentive to whatever you may need. David is a superb host. A superb welcome and a diversity of work; we were among the first to arrive at their new site.
