Fiorella and Paul, they are knowledgeable from their curious character, and they are willing to share their knowledge with you with enthusiasm. Like how they taught me how to farm earthworms, how to making yogurt or they told me about astrophysics(I wouldn't be brave enough to tell you guys that I understand everything they have to say, but it's a great experience for me to learn new things in an unfamiliar language and let me see their intention and patience that they show.) And the meal they made was very delicious, especially Fiorella's Italian food or the volunteers' favorite breakfast dish like oatmeal and fruits,it started from both of them. Having them as volunteers makes my life easier. We dig the soil, build a house, prepare vegetable plots, mow the grass, make compost and planted. They did everything with such dedication. Thank you so much, I wish you both good luck forever.

Marian was a pleasure to host and a great help. She is a knowledgeable and experienced gardener, who travels with her own special tool to cut off dead dahlia flower heads. She 's fun, interesting, enthusiastic and a hard worker. She's also helpful, no fuss and low maintenance. Marian had imitative and even got our kids to enjoy tidying up their playhouse.

Where to start? The entire experience was great. First, Shirin is a very caring, attentive and intelligent person. She knows a lot about permaculture and you can learn so much from her. If you are open, you can learn even more also on life, society, politics, and people. She let you spend your time in the way you prefer, and I recommend to have conversations with her, you won't regret it. Second: the food. I wish I could eat forever what Shirin provides; I don't need to say anything else. Helping in the garden. The garden is beautiful, it's a real sanctuary and be able to work there is a great opportunity because you rarely will see so many tropical trees, fruits and vegetables all in one place. It's good if you are fit because sometimes work is demanding, but it really is rewarding once completed. Looking at your contribution at the end of the day is the main satisfaction. Thank you auntie and Shirin, we'll meet again.

It was truly a special experience here. After some problems with my travel planning, I stayed for one week and felt warmly welcomed from the very first day. The family is kind, open-minded, and always willing to share about farm life and their culture. Kak Muni and Cik Lah are warmhearted. They ask all the time if I am well, if it goes well, if the work is not too hard. I found that the humidity was causing me more problems than I had thought, so I was able to manage my working hours freely, which helped me. They are concerned about the well-being of the volunteers! The work is not hard, and is splendid working with the animals and doing small tasks and chores in the garden or the guesthouse. A refreshing dip in the river was always welcome. I learned a lot about plants and sustainability. Thanks Cik Lah for all the informations I received. I’m really grateful for my time there and take good memories with me.

Adriana è una persona sempre solare e disponibile . Mi ha aiutata e supportata nei primi mesi con la mia neonata con la dolcezza che la contraddistingue. È stata un valido aiuto e uno scambio culturale decisamente valido .

Ejen is one of the kindest person I have ever met. She’s organized, tidy, thoughtful and hardworking. Kept working all day even when I told her to take her last day off. She makes delicious salads and she makes sure there’s always some salad available. She did everything she’s asked to do properly. She’s grateful for life’s beauties and appreciates that. She eased in to our life so smooth I felt how huge her presence was when she was gone. She’s missed by not only me, even by our neighbors chickens 😊She is one of the ones that is always welcome here. Wish her best luck, plenty fruits and warm weathers on her travels.

Steffen is a really good worker, he felled quite a few trees to open up my view and allow sun to some olive trees, making lots of logs for next winter.. We had many rainy days but she worked a few mornings in the rain with no complaints.. Stefan is a quiet and relaxed person and willing to help out of working hours.. I would be happy have him back for olive pruning months. Unfortunately he was not here long enough to use all his skills..

Atsushi is a lovely young man and we really enjoyed having him stay with us! Quiet and thoughtful, he made sure he was learning the ropes, helped out without being asked and keenly got into all the different jobs we set out for him. January is a busy month for me (Lisa) and it was so good to have Atsushi there able to take on the garden tasks unsupervised while I got on with the things I needed to be doing! Bliss!! Atsushi also speaks English really well, so communication was pretty easy! It also made for some fun conversations and being able to learn about each other's stories and experiences. Atsushi also really enjoyed making the most of the local area, walks and community events. This interest and curiosity in everything around him will put him in a good place for his continued stay in Tasmania and Australia. We wish him all the best for his future travelling adventures!

Magnus, was a pleasure to have around my farm when he decided to stay in Tasmania. He was very polite, respectful and clean. Was a very good worker and his honesty was great because he was provided with the farm vehicle for personal exploring travels. Wish him all the very best in his future adventures.

I really enjoyed my stay and had a truly fulfilling experience helping the animals. The tasks were engaging and I appreciated the opportunity to contribute. The trailer experience was a unique and comfortable touch, and I loved it. There was a great balance of work and free time, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The staff were all very friendly and approachable, always ready to help. Paul did an amazing job guiding me through a detailed tour of the shelter, sharing valuable information that made it easy to get into the rhythm of the work after just a few days. Communication was excellent and very efficient, making everything run smoothly. Overall, I liked staying there a lot – it was one of my best help exchange experiences. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to volunteer with you!

Robin and Jeanne stayed with us for two and a half weeks and they were a pleasure to have around. They are brilliant workers. They helped with a lot of cleaning, weeding and tidy up, helped with sheep shearing, looked after the dogs and the rabbits and helped to fix our roof. They cleaned our workshop and the concrete patch, cleaned all cars. Our cars were so perfect inside and outside that we thought the windows were open and went to close them before the rain started. For everything we asked them to do they gave their absolute best and did it to perfection. They have our highest recommendations. We'd have them back in a heartbeat.

I spent just over a week at Yuvraj's project, helping with finishing touches in the final building stages of the project - and if I hadn't had to leave India, I would have loved to stay longer! This is a really interesting project, a perfect balance of sustainable goals, plenty to learn, amazing organic and homecooked food, and a beautiful and peaceful time enjoying rural village life. The work was engaging and interesting, with flexibility to learn some new skills and choose how you'd like to contribute. The working hours were very fair, with plenty of breaks for chai and guavas:) I spent my time plastering the artwork on the outside walls alongside the other artisans working here, but learned lots about the natural and locally sourced materials used throughout different stages of the building process. Yuvraj was really knowledgeable and passionate - I really enjoyed our conversations, and left feeling inspired! Although I was the only volunteer, Yuvraj, Sarpanch and Radha (always cooking delicious food), and Hunaman and Mamta (the artisans working on the site) made me feel really at home. Yuvraj was extremely generous, respectful, and generally a fantastic host. The house and my room was really comfortable, and the rooftop has a gorgeous view out over the surrounding countryside, a great place for the sunset also! Very grateful for this experience, the perfect end to my time in India. I will always think of this as a home - I'm excited to see how the garden/farm goes next, I hope one day I can come back and visit.

From the moment Gio and Anna welcomed us, we could feel the palpable warmth in their cherished home. We stayed with them for a week in winter 2025. They are incredibly open, thoughtful and kind people who made our stay in Naples a memorable and wonderful experience. Their beautiful and tastefully decorated home proved to be a peaceful sanctuary from the busy city of Naples. As far as work was concerned, we felt that what was asked of us was very easy and manageable - mostly house chores and clearing up the garden adjacent to their apartment. We had full access to their kitchen which was stocked with healthy and good quality ingredients, and it is admirable to see how they choose to feed Luna (and us!) with nourishing and nutrient rich meals, something that is unfortunately becoming more and more rare. Sleeping conditions were very comfortable (shout out to the cosy duvet, one of the best I’ve ever used) even for us who typically struggle with autumns and winters! They are very dedicated and attentive parents, and Luna is a very bubbly, intelligent & expressive little girl. Sharing a deep love for food, we cooked together often with them with classical music in the background. Vivaldi is forever etched in our hearts, as is Gio's piano practice that contributes to the homely feel. Napoli streets were fun to discover, yes, but going back to their home after our daily explorations is equally pleasurable.. They regularly went out of their way to make our trip an enjoyable one. Their invaluable advice kept us away from touristy streets at peak hours and directed us to hidden gems. Gio also took us for a walk around the streets in the Decumani area and showed us some local weekend markets! All in all we are utterly grateful for their hospitality and cannot recommend them enough to future Workawayers. We wished we could have spent a longer time with this beautiful family..

Dominik was great to host for a week - helped with all gardening tasks with enthusiasm and was super friendly. He also helped in kitchen, even cooking a traditional German bread snack. Definitely would recommend.

Sam gave us the opportunity to take care of his beautiful house over Christmas and we really enjoyed our stay. He made sure that we got some nice food during our stay and set up a Christmas tree to give us some Christmas vibes. Sam is a fantastic guy that really cares for other people and when he came home from his trip did he help us with all the administrative things that comes when you buy a car which we are truly grateful fore. He cooked delicious meals, gave us some good advices for our trip and was a really good host that we 100% recommend!

Nathalie and Adrian were a real pleasure to host and a great addition to our place. Adrian is a professional builder and helped us a lot by leading several building projects on the farm, including work in the kitchen and on the new toilet we are building. Nathalie kindly shared her cooking skills and showed interested Workawayers how to prepare Thai dishes, which everyone really enjoyed. They are both very friendly, calm, and easygoing people, and they communicated well with the other volunteers. We would happily recommend Nathalie and Adrian to other hosts and wish them all the best in their future travels and projects.

I really enjoyed this Workaway. I loved the peaceful atmosphere, the home-cooked meals, spending time playing with Madeline, snuggling with the cats, and having the opportunity to spend my days in the garden. Most of all, I am deeply grateful to have been welcomed into such a warm, loving, and generous home. I would wholeheartedly recommend this Workaway to anyone. Thank you, Stefan and Claudia — I hope to see you again soon ♡

Ido also brought his friend Bosco to stay with us, and they were both great people. They were very open-minded and non-judgmental, and they accepted everyone as they were. Ido is a yoga teacher, and he taught yoga to many of the other volunteers in the mornings before breakfast, which was really appreciated. He is very knowledgeable and a great person to talk to and listen to. You can clearly see that he already has a lot of traveling experience. Both Ido and Bosco helped a lot with all the tasks on the farm. They were very involved in cooking, gardening, building projects, and many other daily tasks. They were very pleasant to host, and I would happily recommend them to any future hosts.
