Description
***Sorry - no more helpers required for this year until February***
We have an automotive country workshop where we do WOFs and fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits.
We are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us and help looking after the gardens and the house and the animals.
We grow most of our own food, from bananas to meat, we make our own wine and beer, tea, juices and jams.
Our house is an older farm house, that is nice and warm, but always needs a bit of attention and renovating. There are also some rather big trees that need felling and turning into firewood.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Our location is in the sunny Bay of Plenty, close to sandy beaches and there are also many walks and nature tracks in easy reach. We are running an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and some rabbits.

Help
In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and some rabbits. And we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us with that. We always need someone who is a gun at weeding or painting or can help with feeding the animals.
We grow and eat our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and green tea.
A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle.
You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at 7 am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8 am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4-5 hours help per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, great meals, and a reasonable amount of WiFi, which is a bit limited due to our location.
We integrate our helpers like a family member and mostly have only one or a couple at a time. This way you can experience a true Kiwi lifestyle.
Our home is on a 2ha lifestyle block, which also accommodates our business and we also have a forest where we occasionally tidy up.
We have a small orchard with a variety of fruit trees, including bananas, a vegetable garden and a big garden around the house with goldfish ponds and large lawns and lots of flowers.
Please!! always let us know your skills when you contact us!
And don't exaggerate your skill level or your experience, we are old trades people and know immediately if you've done that.!
Please always email!!
There is no public transport available to get to and from our place, but we can arrange pickup from the bus stop in Te Puke town or in Paengaroa village.

What else ...
We are about 4km from the highway and there are no bus stops in our area. There are plenty of sandy beaches in the vicinity and also some nice walking tracks or mountain bike tracks. Rotorua, Whakatane and Tauranga are about 35 minutes away, Te Puke town 15 minutes away.
