Estella is a very interesting writer and story teller, if you happen to meet her and her cat Melek, the Miami God's have truly smiled upon you.. Just be very careful not to overstay or she might become your best friend in the city ;)

Thanks Linda for everything, i had a wonderful time , the guest house is beautiful with all arts and paintings. The area itself is quite and the sunsets are amazing at the beach. I can recommend it to everyone, who wants a nice beach stay.

I had a wonderful time with Catherine and felt welcome the moment I met her! During my whole stay, I took care of the chickens and it was a great experience. Before the snow fell, I cut the plants and in general helped preparing everything for the winter as much as I could! When the snow started to fall, I mainly helped organizing stuff in the house and in Catherine's office as there wasn't much to do outside anymore. I also did the snow blowing whenever needed. I even worked for Catherine's roommate and all in all it was just so much fun. Catherine and I spent Christmas and New Years Eve together and it was so good, I really enjoyed it. Time went by so fast, I can't believe it. Thank you Catherine for the experience I had with you at Wild Rose Farm!

They were a very friendly and truly lovely couple! Montse was very reliable and naturally took on a role of organizing and supporting everyone. Salvi was always relaxed, often singing, and brought a very calming and positive energy to our place. Both of them worked very hard and genuinely tried their best to help improve our space. They took on a large-scale grass cutting project to help us expand the garden fields. They were also very eager to learn about improving soil quality and thoughtfully worked on ways to improve the flow of mountain spring water. They love animals and treated our chickens and cats with great care and affection. We truly loved the warm, bright, and peaceful atmosphere you both brought with you. We sincerely hope to see you again someday. Thank you so much for coming and being part of our place!

Fuimos a la casa de Jacqueline y su familia en septiembre 2025. Recomendamos 100% la experiencia con ella y su familia ! Nos encantó mucho descubrir su vida, su ciudad y sus tradiciones, su familia, sus animales y su restaurante. Compartimos increíbles momentos que no olvidaremos. Estábamos allí durante la fiesta de la independencia y era lleno de actividades en el pueblo pero también en los otros pueblitos cerca. Lilla stayed with us for a couple of weeks over the Christmas holidays. During this time Lilla house sat while we visited relatives for a few days. We found Lilla to be very trustworthy and a delight to have stay with us.

Nadia & Marco are fantastic human beings and I would recommend them to stay with any host. They stayed with me initially gor two weeks and ended up being three. They are hard working, honest, happy, entertaining, enthusiastic, caring……I could go on but you get the picture! They will have a crack at anything, they cleared weeds, whipper snipped, finished years of sewing projects, lots of bushfire preparation. They also managed stressful situations like getting a large brown snake out of the house and evacuation from bushfire!!! I wish them luck on their adventures and life in general. I hope we meet again.

We had a truly memorable and fun Workaway experience with Michael and King Kit Cat 🐱 Michael is a wonderful host—generous, kind, funny and thoughtful toward all the volunteers staying at the time. The work was varied and engaging, ranging from helping with photography for the tiny home and web development to chopping trees, gardening and other outdoor tasks. The area itself is quiet and peaceful, and we especially loved being right by the ocean, with a small beach just in front of the property. We’re grateful for the experience and hope to return one day to see how Michael’s project continues to grow. Thank you Michael ❤️

Mes deux premières semaines en Polynésie ont commencé idéalement par un séjour de deux semaines chez Stéphanie. Une belle entrée en matière avec de beaux échanges, un logement offrant une vue magnifique sur la baie et tout le confort. Les chantiers variés m'ont permis de travailler en toute autonomie sur des tâches diverses. Hôte à recommander sans hésitation !

fue muy increíble con clem, ricaurte, los perros y gatos encantadores! la region es increíblemente hermosa cual también se nota en la granja. siempre valoraron y respetaron nuestro trabajo así como a nosotros como humanos. la comunicación fue muy clara, honesta y sencilla. y clem es una cocinera increíble. muchas gracias por todo! las comidas compartidas, los paseos turísticos y la música andina

Estuvimos un mes en Tuqtuquillal y nos fuimos repletos de experiencias. El lugar es precioso y tranquilo, cerca del río y sobre todo, cerca de la comunidad local Q´ueqchi, con quienes pudimos interactuar, compartir y aprender. Sus comidas, sus costumbres, su lengua. Durante la semana las mujeres de la comunidad preparaban el desayuno y el almuerzo, todo delicioso! Y los voluntarios nos repartíamos las cenas. El trabajo es variado y depende de las necesidades del momento lo que haga falta hacer. Tuvimos la oportunidad de ver el tostado y pelado del cacao y participar de la elaboración de jugo y miel de caña, todas maravillas y aprendizajes enormes. Nos llevamos personas hermosas y muchos momentos y lugares compartidos. La comunicación por momentos no era del todo clara, pero creo que sobre todo porque empezaron a alojar huéspedes por primera vez justo cuando llegamos y estaban organizándose con algunas tareas todavía.

Lisa was an amazing worker, she and her friend were such great cooks and they were such lively company. I'd highly recommend Lisa to anyone.

De beaux échanges, des partages, des rencontres, sans oublier les travaux auxquels j'ai participé, sous le signe de l'adaptation, de l'inventivité et de la débrouillardise. I had an amazing experience with Mark and Maz. The work and accommodation is very fulfilling and meaningful. I had the opportunity to work with sheep, in the forest contribting to the native wildlife, and around the property. The accommodation is lovely and provides a space to interact with the other workawayers.

J'ai passé deux semaines chez Sabrina et Philippe, deux hôtes adorables et attentionnés, avec deux parcours intéressants. De beaux échanges, un accueil et un lieu parfait. Flexibilité sur l'organisation des tâches à réaliser pendant mon séjour. Tout est mis en œuvre pour que l'on se sente bien. À conseiller sans hésitation.

This was my 4th workaway and without a doubt the BEST! I really much enjoyed it mainly because of Gabriela and Philipp, incredible people who know how to make you feel at home. In the 2 months I spent there, I felt so welcome! The area of San Agustín has winding dirt roads, aggressive mosquitoes, electricity that comes and goes... it won't be always easy. But I strongly urge you not to consider this a disadvantage. San Agustín is also home to lush, wild nature, to rare bird species, it is a close-knit community that meets to play Musica Medicina and it is home to gorgeous waterfalls.. Gabry and Philipp are immensely helpful in giving you everything you need and making you feel at home on their property, inviting you to join them for movie nights or recommending treks to do on your own in the area. They love to share stories about their lives and travels and they are absolutely entertaining people. They adore their only pet, a sweet cat named Gopala, who will be part of daily life at the finca! Both Gabry and Philipp are amazing chefs. They always prepared incredibly tasty and delicious dishes. I had the opportunity to taste many typical local products, my favorite of which is the chachafruto, a legume that grows on trees!! The hosts care deeply about volunteers' direct understanding of what is happening on the farm. They will always put a lot of effort into explaining their ideas, making sure you understand them. During my stay, I helped them with soil experiments, general garden cleaning, harvesting avocados and other fruits, and even with some construction projects with bamboo. At the same time, I always had 2 days off per week, during which I had the opportunity to go on wonderful outings. Overall, my experience at Gabriela and Philipp's finca was fantastic, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. You will learn very interesting permaculture practices and will have the opportunity to live in a place where nature plays a leading role. Priceless!

It was wonderful to have Rodrigo at the sanctuary. With his great ability to adapt, even though he was not always used to the sometimes challenging work in the stables, he showed us his strong willingness to help and, above all, his reliability, something that is becoming increasingly rare among volunteers in general, who often believe that working in an alpine environment is like being in a fairytale. And while it is certainly a beautiful place, taking care of so many animals in all kinds of weather requires strength and the ability to adapt to a climate that is not always easy. Rodrigo, being a great sportsman, had no problem walking to the stables every morning, sometimes wearing snowshoes due to the heavy snow, and taking care of the many sheep and livestock guardian dogs. When needed and asked, he also helped clean the stables of the cows and horses. In his free time, he was an tireless young man: he either went running for pleasure or to the swimming pool to swim laps. A healthy body in a healthy mind. This is Rodrigo. Truly reliable and honest. Additionally, he always kept the apartment clean and tidy. You will always be welcome, dear Rodrigo.
