Hi! we are Salvi and Montse, we are a friendly, hard-working couple eager to help, learn, and share new experiences around the world.
We want to keep moving from place to place to experience as much as possible — discovering new areas, learning about the country in depth, and exploring its culture through different activities and ways of life. Staying in one place for too long feels limiting to us; we believe that each community, landscape, and project offers something unique. We are especially fascinated by cultures that are very different from our own, and we love immersing ourselves in them to broaden our perspective of the world.

We share many skills — we’re both fast learners, we have experience in cooking, we adapt easily to new contexts, and we have experience working in teams. We love music, art, nature, and animals, and we enjoy traveling to places where we can be in close contact with nature. We also enjoy meeting new people, sharing stories, and creating new memories together.

During our experiences in workaway, we've helped renovating houses, painting, cleaning, gardening, cutting wood and other different activities.

At the same time, we have different strengths that complement each other, which makes us a great team!

Montse ~
I’m a former high school history teacher. I taught in Chile before coming to Japan, where I’ve worked as a bilingual tour guide for almost six months. I speak Spanish and English fluently, and I can also have basic conversations in Japanese. Visiting Japan has been a dream of mine since I was very young, and I’m passionate about learning more about its beautiful culture and history. I also love cooking and baking!

Salvi ~
I’m an architect with basic knowledge in construction, DIY projects, sustainable materials, and carpentry. I’m comfortable with physical work and bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to what I do. I was also a scout, so I have basic survival skills for natural environments. I speak basic English and I’m a complete beginner in Japanese, but I’m always eager to improve.
