My time in Puerto de Sagunto was special and I’m very grateful for the experience. From the moment I arrived, the family made me feel incredibly welcome. They are warm, kind and genuinely funny people and it didn’t take long before I felt comfortable and at home with them. Everyone in the family made a real effort to support me and help me in any way they could. Whether it was making sure I felt settled, finding a way to do my sports, or simply checking in if I am ok on my way home at night, their kindness and generosity were always present. I was truly treated like part of the family. Living with them felt like discovering another home. The atmosphere in the house was full of good energy. I truly appreciated the time we spent together and the openness they showed toward me. This was an experience I will remember very fondly, and I would absolutely love to come back in the future. Thank you for everything and please never stop laughing!

We stayed with Merel and Juan for two weeks, and it was a fantastic experience. For our first Workaway experience, we discovered life in the small village of San Miguel, above San Carlos. We received a very warm welcome! We shared football matches, participated in village life, and planted trees for reforestation. Our work with Merel and Juan mainly involved helping in the garden, carrying wood, and spending time with the children. We also played games and shared meals with our hosts. As a bonus, we were able to participate in the Temazcal ceremony, which was challenging but incredibly meaningful! In conclusion, we highly recommend WWOOFing with Juan and Merel, who prioritize exchange and simplicity! Thank you again for this experience, and see you soon! 😁🫶 Maxime and Cassandra

Unique honest and beautiful are what describes this workaway best. I spent a month on Elena's light house island , there I mostly lifted rocks and contributed to other parts of the renovation project. All within fixed hours , and free weekends , no surprise here, work is well organized , physically demanding , but mentally rewarding. The space is shared with other volunteers, which means you're surrounded by similar minded people who are happy to escape society and its never ending urbanisation. The real highlight is of course exploring the island, with its ever changing scenery throughout the seasons and its many secrets, its a never ending playground for those who love nature, hiking , kayaking or fishing. If you're reading this review because you're stil not a 100% certain about going somewhere so remote , then think no more , for it really is as great as every one else says.

This was my first experience as a workawayer, and I´m very glad it was here. Marjorie and Dermot are such lovely people who make you feel like part of the family from the very first moment. We enjoyed a lot of time together for the last 3 months, laughing, watching movies, and traveling to some beautiful scenic points around Wicklow co. I also got to experience Christmas and New Year´s eve the irish way, which was fabulous! They also helped me with everything I needed without hesitation, and they always tried their best to make sure I was feeling comfortable. I never lacked anything during my stay, and I´m very grateful with them for that. Main tasks were walking the dogs, cleaning and cooking. They currently have 2 beautiful indoor dogs, Miley (11 months old), and Smokey (4 months old). Miley is a very active Cockopoo, who enjoys having a walk in the morning and running in the yard. Smokey is an adorable little Schnoodle. He has been here for 1 month now, and even though his first week could be challenging, he settled down very well and he got attached with everyone in the house. They like to play together and are good companions. Both of them are really cute and friendly, so if you are a dog person, this is definitely a good place for you! They also have 2 cats but they are always outside, so you just have to feed them when needed. I would like to leave a special mention to Leo, who was an exceptional dog. Unfortunately, he passed away during my stay, and even though we shared a month only, I enjoyed his company every single day. He was very loyal and lovely, and he will always have a special place in my heart. I´m really gonna miss spending time with all of you. Dermot sense of humour (and his evil laugh), Majorie´s delicious meals, Miley´s walks, and Smokey´s cuddlings. I´m definitely coming back to visit you at some point! Thanks a million :)

My experience with Ghassab will be memories for life!! I had the absolute best time staying with him and learning all about his culture. The Bedouin life is so beautiful, Petra is amazing, and I'm very grateful to have experienced everything. Hiking with Noura the goats was very peaceful at times. You're out in the mountains all day and seeing how she navigates without a map, It's amazing. You learn a lot and also learn skills being out in the wilderness. She's an incredible woman. I loved being with all the animals and they are well taken care of. You can see they have a genuine passion for what they do and their way of life. The community is so lively, I loved it! Ghassab made me feel very welcomed and comfortable, I felt very safe all times. He's an incredible, kind, caring and genuine soul. I had an amazing time. His home is beautiful and I felt at peace being there. The village is surrounded by stunningggg mountains. The food his sister, Waheba, cooks for everyone is beyond delicious and his family is super kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this experience, and I will never forget it. I love Petra and the Bedouin life, they are forever in my heart <3

Our stay in Kelaa was one of our favourites experiences in Morocco. The school, staff, students and other volunteers truly made it an unforgettable experience. We helped the students with German and English, and loved being able to interact with the students and learn so much from them about Moroccan life. They were so incredibly welcoming, inviting us for homemade food and even inviting us to the mosque. Rachid was a great volunteer guide, very welcoming and friendly, and always showing us the best places in town! The accommodation is good, it felt very homy to cook together and share meals and laughter's with the other volunteers. It did get quite cold and wet in winter (we were there in January). We could safely park our van in front of the accommodation which was also nice. All in all, definitely recommend going to Kelaa if you're looking for a real cultural exchange!

Rachel and I spent 3 weeks at the project in January 26 and had a brilliant time. Before committing we had really good online calls with previous volunteers and organisers and all the Ghanaian staff. All along everyone was really helpful and welcoming and that continued when we arrived in Tafo which is a very friendly little town. During the day we were in the primary school loosely using visual art and music to teach English, co facilitated sessions at the Girls Club which is amazing and worked with the boys in the hostel on their homework. It helps to be flexible about how you use your skills and fit into the different parts of the project but Eric, Christian, Mary and Irene are committed and inspiring and will help with that. The accommodation is good and Dina cooked us amazing meals. Thank you!

It's hard to believe I almost missed the chance to volunteer with this wonderful workaway host. Luckily, I took a chance to message them last minute to say I could only stay a few days, and they were so accommodating and flexible! I was welcomed so warmly and they all took great care of me during the four days/nights I stayed. I even had my birthday that week, and they took extra steps to make me feel special, which really warmed my heart. During the day, I helped do some lessons and activities with the younger students, play games, sing songs, do arts and crafts, and read books. I also did some bracelet making with the older kids and some of the little kids. The school is run by the most calm, kind, and nurturing women. They put so much care into guiding and teaching the children—it was a pleasure to see and be a part of it! While staying there they provided me with a private room and bathroom above the school (with a very comfortable bed!) and they gave me breakfast and lunch during the day, and left food for me to eat dinner at night. The students and teachers all left the school at 3pm and I was left alone, with the keys (and my dinner) and the afternoon free. The area around the school is very green and peaceful. I enjoyed walking around and exploring, then in the evenings I taught English lessons online and the wifi worked perfectly. I wanted to have this workaway experience because I'd been travelling in India and I felt I needed to connect with the community and the culture more. I found the few days at the school very purpose-filled and it was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you to the school, the teachers, and especially the school's director, Teena, for being such generous, gracious hosts. I'm so grateful!! If you're thinking of volunteering with this host, I highly recommend you do!

we had a wondertultime with Anna. With her calm, humorous and open manner, she immediately integrated into our family. She has so many skills and strengths, I can't even list them all. She provided us with excellent support both in the house and in the garden, as well as with the animals. When Robert and I went on holiday, she took excellent care of our house, the plants and animals. The trips I took with her were a pleasure. I would invite Anna back to our home anytime. If there were six stars to give, she would get them (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️). Thank you so much, dear Anna 🫶

I stayed for a week at Lea's place. When I arrived she welcomed me with open arms and her son Solal was also there. She lives on a very beautiful and special place with a great story how her journey started there. It was my first workaway experience there and it was amazing. helped with some small tasks at the property. We went to see some of the area and had a very nice room where I stayed the nights. Also Lea is French and Solal. But I only speak Dutch and English, there was no language barrière for me and we understood each other fully, so happy the communication was great. Lea is a truly amazing woman, very kind and loving, overall a amazing host! thank you, and Solal and Ziggy! It was an amazing stay and hope to come back one day!

I spent three weeks in Jan-Feb 206 volunteering at Jin’s language school through Workaway, and it was a truly great experience. The workload was quite light — mostly on weekends and occasionally on Fridays — which left plenty of time to explore the area and enjoy the cultural exchange. Jin is a very welcoming and experienced host who clearly understands the spirit of Workaway. Beyond the volunteering itself, he made a real effort to include us in local life. We went on hikes together, shared dinners, and had many interesting conversations. It felt less like just volunteering and more like being part of a small community. After having a bit of a break from Workaway, it was especially nice to return to the platform with such a positive experience. Jin creates a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and I would definitely recommend this host to other volunteers looking for a meaningful and enjoyable stay. Thank you again for the great time!

I had an amazing week staying with Esor and his family. I stayed for a week on Esor's rural farm with 2 other volunteers. the setting of the farm is incredible with beautiful views of the valley, and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect to unwind from the chaos of the city's. In my week I helped with painting of the guest house where volunteers stay, aswell as helping with cooking and cleaning up with meals, but the farm has many different projects to help with and a partner farm near by with plenty going on too, so volunteers will always have things too do. I had lots of spare time relax and enjoy the surroundings. The food provided was authentic and tasty and the accomodation was comfortable and spacious. I would only warn other volunteers that the walk to the farm is steep uphill and can take sometime. 100% would recommend this workaway

Lora and Tom are very kind and generous people. They are always willing to help and share with others. They stayed with my family and quickly became like part of our family. Even though they do not use English very often, they really try their best to learn and improve. They practice and make a great effort to communicate and teach. Both of them are very dedicated when teaching the children. They are patient, caring, and always encourage the kids to learn. The children feel happy and comfortable around them. They also bring a warm and positive atmosphere to our home. We truly appreciate their kindness and hard work. I highly recommend them to any host. If you have the opportunity to welcome them, you will be very lucky to have their help. I wish them both a wonderful journey and the very best of luck in their future travels.

Anita and Vikkie were wonderful reps and a great addition to our team. They were always friendly, positive, and very approachable with guests, which helped create a welcoming and fun atmosphere in the hostel. They were great at socializing, bringing people together, and making sure everyone felt included during activities and events. They were also reliable, helpful, and always ready to support the team whenever needed. Their energy and attitude really contributed to the good vibe in the hostel, and we truly appreciated having them with us. We’d be happy to welcome them back anytime! 🎉

I was very happy to welcome Imke, who was a great help during her stay. On the day she arrived, she joined me for a family party. Independent and dynamic, she immediately understood where she could help with serving, cleaning, and tidying up. Her cheerful disposition and communication skills allowed her to quickly integrate into the group. Over the following days, she helped me with dirty and tiring gardening work, always with the same enthusiasm. We also enjoyed lovely walks and evenings with friends. We always had very interesting conversations, in French and German. Imke is very pleasant to have around and respects moments of privacy. I recommend her on Workaway and wish her every success with her projects.

It was a pleasure to host Claudia. She did her work well and independently and is a very nice person. She helps teach language to our children, and they enjoy being with Claudia. I can really recommend Claudia and would happily welcome her again.
