I run English schools in Thailand. We aim to help Thai children to get better in English without paying a fortune. The school has been running for more than 17 years.
Note here that the schools are my business which is not "non-profit organization"...just in case you might look for "non-profit organization".
This Workaway is good for you if you aim to travel not just to see touristy places but more...while giving something to the community and also getting back something in return.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Volunteering as an English teacher will surely give you the best experience. It's a good opportunity to spend time with Thai children and help them to improve their English. You'll learn how to teach as well as gaining teaching experience.
We will also provide you a nice place to stay with a scooter and food allowance (no food allowance in some cases when we have less work than 2 days a week). This is a nice way to explore this beautiful country. explore the temples, the rural countryside, discover the delicious food, learn the language and live a bit like the locals for a unique cultural experience.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

We're looking for volunteers as :
English teachers : To teach English to our students so you have to be sure that your English is good enough to teach. However we have all lesson plans planed and we'll teach you how to teach if you have never experienced teaching English before but be sure that you can learn quickly and can run the classes on your own not long after. As the work is involved children so this is only people who can be a good role model for the children. No binge drinker, no weed smoker, no drug user and no people with no responsibility.
Note here that we can't host weed smokers and drug users.Languages

A private bedroom (for your own) with shared bathroom in my dad's house. There's no air-con in the room but a fan (the temperature at the house is normally not too hot) and there's a high speed wi-fi at the house.
There's a kitchen, laundry machine that you can use as well as common area around the house. However the house is 19 kms from downtown Chiang Mai (40 mins drive by a scooter) and 19 kms from downtown Lamphun. Not easy to get a public transportation so that's why we provided you a scooter and the driving skill is required (we can teach you how to drive a scooter but you have to be confident to drive after that).
Thou actually the best & cheapest way to explore Chiang Mai and nearby areas is by a scooter. What else ...
An accommodation and a scooter are provided. We try to arrange activities for our volunteers once a week such as sightseeing, hiking, Thai cooking class, etc.
An interview is required as we have limited availability.A little more information
