Hello Marco & Eva, Thank you for being such incredible guests and volunteers to us. Your energy, kindness, ideas, and hard work during our Green School Project (tree-planting) week left a real mark on our community. It was a pleasure hosting you both. You are welcome back anytime. Wishing you all the best on your travels through Eastern Africa and the rest of the world. Blessings follow you my friends.

Thank you so much, Spyros, and to the whole team!! When I arrived at the monastery, I immediately felt an enormous energy, something very positive was about to happen! I was welcomed not like a prince, but like a human being who needed help!! We welcomed many people and shared so much! We laughed, played sports, worked, all with respect for ourselves and others!! I can't thank Spyros enough for everything he gave me during some difficult moments on my trip!! If you're looking for a serene place, a place of peace to recharge, to walk, and to eat well, then come to the monastery!! You'll meet wonderful people and create magnificent memories. Thank you again, Spyros, for your energy.

Although my stay was brief due to a health issue, I want to acknowledge how welcoming and caring Kat and Kiljan were. Their dedication and vision are truly inspiring, and it’s clear they put a lot of heart into their project, which is just so cool ! Not to mention, their food was delicious! For those visiting in winter, the space can be quite cold (understandably so since it’s a big place to try to heat) so dress warmly and bring adequate sleeping gear to be comfortable.

Staying with this family for three weeks was amazing. Fei and Weiyuan were super kind and accommodating, and I had a lot of fun talking and reading with Matteo and Augustin! Matteo is slightly more reserved and Augustin is full of energy and always has something to say or some gimmick up his sleeve, but both are a lot of fun to talk to. In terms of responsibility, I read with the kids before or after dinner, where I would read a bit and have Matteo or Augustin read a bit, then construct some sentences from a few vocab words. Other than that, I mainly talked with them in English. On New Year's eve, we wrote letters to ourselves to read at the end of the next year, which I thought was a fun activity. Matteo, Augustin, hopefully you read those letters next December and write another one to yourselves (maybe talking about a bit more than roblox and brainrot, Augustin...) Fei and Weiyuan provided dinners on the nights I was there, which was super nice, and the food was delicious! Very much homestyle Chinese food, which made me feel at home :) In terms of location, the convenience of being a less than ten minute walk to the train station into St Lazare is unbeatable. It was so convenient to get in and out of the city, but also the area was pleasant to walk around as well! Overall I enjoyed my time there so much, and my only regret is not being able to stay for longer. Fei, Weiyuan, thank you so much!

Monika took care of our two cats (including medication) while we were traveling for a few days and everything worked out perfectly! We were already on our way when she arrived in Hannover so we left the keys at our neighbours place. And when we were back home she welcomed us with a delicious soup she'd made for us!

Maria, Nuno and all their relatives we got to meet are really nice and welcoming people. The farm is located in a very beautiful region of Portugal. Of course, as mentioned in previous feedbacks the Workaway there is quite demanding and you have to be mentally and physically ready of it. If so, keep your mind open and enjoy the ride because you will have a good time, and a rewarding experience.

Róbert was an amazing WorkAway! It was his first experience and he fit right in, always willing to work hard and independently. He took it upon himself to restore an entire drum set, which had almost rusted apart, during his spare time and he did it so well that it’s now a permanent part of the restaurant’s instruments. I would be very happy to welcome Robbo back to my farm one day, and play some music with him!☺️

Chin Lai was a great workaway to have stay with me. She is quietly confident, interested in nature and very respectful of our native wildlife. Chin Lai was keen to take on many different challenges... she learnt new skills with ease. I had complete confidence in her ability to work independently with many projects. Jobs included painting my paver weeds with vinegar (to kill the weeds), scrubbing and oiling some house weather boards, weeding garden banks and replacing mulch onto the gardens after floods had washed much off. She patiently varnished an old stool i had sanded and made it look beautiful again. Chin Lai is a creative person and was able to help me problem solve some small tasks. She made a yummy vegie noodle stir fry. Her English is good and we had some interesting conversations about her home country Hong Kong, and her traveling adventures in Australia. She got on well with my friends. I would easily welcome her back into home again. She was an absolute delight to have around. I can recommend Chin Lai as an excellent workaway who has great work ethics, a beautiful smile and gentle nature. Wishing you all the best Chin Lai for your future and happy traveling . I hope to hear from you again. :)

I had an absolutely wonderful time staying with Michael and Jess. What was initially planned as just a few weeks turned into six weeks in the end – which already says a lot. From the very beginning, I felt truly welcome. The work was varied and enjoyable, including helping around the house, cleaning the pool, dusting, gardening and general maintenance. It never felt monotonous and I always felt that my help was very appreciated. One of the absolute highlights were the boat trips. I was lucky enough to be taken along several times including a trip out to an island, where I even got to snorkel. I also had my first fishing experiences on the open ocean, visited different beaches by boat and enjoyed many beautiful beach walks. The location itself is simply stunning, just a 3 minute walk to the beach. Also the accommodation I stayed in was very generous, well equipped and comfortable. It was perfectly located close enough to the main house to be part of daily life, but also offering plenty of privacy when needed. This balance made the whole experience even more special and really added to the warm, family-like feeling of the stay. Michael and Jess are incredibly kind, warm-hearted and open people. They didn’t just treat me as a workawayer, but truly integrated me into many family activities, which made me feel like part of the family very quickly. I’m very grateful for this experience, all the shared moments and interesting conversations and I can 100% recommend them. I would come back anytime, thanks again for everything!

This couple is the best you can have to take care of your place! They are open, hard working, taking initiative and responsibility right from the start. Manon helped a lot with mowing the grass ,) and building projects, Gittan in the garden and kitchen. He is really good with fermenting food and making the best sirops in the world! We loved the nice combinations. They are caring people, love to play with kids and talk about live. So if you want to have a nice extension of your family, please welcome them and you will not be dissapointed!

I have really good memories of my workaway with Vilté. She was calm, sociable, and cooperative. She got along from the start with the other workawayer she shared the same apartment with, and this made me happy and relaxed enough to dedicate ourselves to various activities. Vilté demonstrated, with good skills and results, her interest in the island's sports and nature. We tried new trekking routes together and checked the condition of the trails. She was helpful in moving and cleaning the kayaks, preparing recipes shared with the other workawayers, and tending to the small vegetable garden. Vilté, I was truly pleased to read your review, even though many months have passed since your experience, thank you for your kind words.🙏 I wish you the best in everything 🌞🌊🙋

Maggie stayed with us for almost a week, and we truly had a wonderful time with her. She supported our project in every possible way whether it was working with the children, visiting schools, or helping with household responsibilities. She contributed wholeheartedly in every area and became a valuable part of our journey during her stay. We sincerely hope to meet her again in the future, and we send her our very best wishes from the bottom of our hearts.

Kristen and Steve are truly amazing people and put up with me for 10 whole weeks! From my first day to my last day, I felt right at home and welcomed into their family. I arrived in late March at the start of spring and stayed all the way into June and early summer. The town of Peshastin and the whole valley will always have a special place in my heart and feel like home. Kristen is a genuinely wonderful person and is absolutely on top of everything you could need as a Workawayer. She gives detailed instructions and is always clear with her expectations. She has incredibly detailed lists for anything that needs to get done and is always fair with what is asked. She works hard as a teacher and truly cares about her kids, which is a joy to see. Her care, empathy, and excitement for her guests (and everyone in her life) are evident. She’s the best person to share a laugh, have a meaningful conversation, play a board game, or work in the garden with. Her animated character and high spirit make this home feel lively and fun to be in. Kristen is someone that I will always feel grateful to know. Steve is a great man and the calm to Kristen’s upbeat attitude. Like Kristen, Steve is incredibly kind and inspiring. Although you might find him quite at first, Steve has such a wealth of knowledge and experience that he will happily share with anyone who asks. Steve consistently blew my mind with his many adventures and skills. As much as I want to brag here about all the things that make Steve so incredible, I should let future Workawayers hear it for themselves. (P.S. If you ask him about his whitewater rafting career, you might get lucky enough for Steve to take you on a float!) Beyond the warmth of Kristen and Steve's hospitality, the setting itself made this experience unforgettable. Peshastin is a hidden gem nestled in the Cascade foothills, where the surrounding mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop to daily life. Watching the seasons change with the spring wildflowers and Kristen's amazingly prolific gardening was a wonder. Between the snowy peaks of the Enchantments and the orchards in bloom, there are few places more beautiful. The town's charm is matched by its natural beauty. The crystal-clear river and nearby mountain lakes became regular spots for swimming and soaking in the scenery. What made the experience even richer was sharing it alongside 7 other Workawayers throughout my time here. Kristen and Steve did an excellent job hosting so many of us at once, and their experience as hosts really showed. Every single person I met was an absolute pleasure to know, and everyone added another layer of joy to the work and adventures we shared. Between Kristen and Steve's exceptional attitude and experience, the area's natural wonders, and the wonderful community of fellow Workawayers, my stay offered everything I could have hoped for and so much more. Together, Kristen and Steve make an excellent pair, and I feel so grateful to have gotten to know them. I cannot recommend staying with these folks enough.

I am so glad my path crossed Ulises'. I've had an amazing stay at his place, he has been so welcoming and generous. He shared so much about the history of the country and many other things that it made my stay in Mexico more rich. I also got to meet a lot of his friends and share a lot of beautiful moments. Hours of hammock talks. He really has a gift for explaining in a fascinating way. I loved navigating in between langages with him and my spanish has gotten so much better in the process ! I helped him in the general maintenance of the house and also to paint. I could do the work at my rythm, which I loved Thank you so much for everything And I can't wait to visit you again or meet you somewhere in the world :)

We loved having Lena and Phillip to stay - they are really lovely, considerate guests and easily fit into our family. They worked hard and completed their tasks to a high standard every time. We shared many lovely meals together, especially one they prepared for us - so delicious!! We warmly recommend Lena and Phillip to future hosts.
