Laura and Mateo stayed with us two years ago. We were really happy when we heard they were coming back! Last year they stayed for a longer period, they have become part of of family. Laura is an intelligent woman, with lots of skills and interests. She took charge of the garden, she researched and worked hard and grew the most beautiful carrots we've ever grown! But not only carrots, of course. She got involved with bee keeping, natural medicine, ancestral practices to harvest agave drink and syrup, and many many other things. We are missing her cooking and baking! Mateo is a skillful man, he can repair mostly anything! He's cooking is great and his chill energy, always willing to help others. They are both super proactive, hardworking and sociable! We miss them a lot!

Marilou and Louise were our first workawayers. We didn't know what to expect, and we have to say it went great! They're both easy to get along with, they've adapted very well to our lifestyle, and they learn everything quickly. It was fun spending time with them, both during the daily chores and in their free time. We had a great time and hope to see them again someday

Here, we don't work on a “nice” project. We help people in a real way !! Every action has a concrete impact on people's mobility and daily lives. It's extremely motivating and rare to experience. I contributed to business development and partnerships within a committed and lovely team! You feel really useful! A powerful, human, and very enriching experience. I recommend it 100%, plus the neighborhood is super nice! Thank you for the experience.

We spent about two weeks with Emma, Joe, Maia and Jada and had a wonderful experience- we are going to miss them all and feel so grateful to have connected with such an amazing family. This was our first Workaway so we didn’t quite know what to expect. We felt so comfortable and welcome from the moment we arrived and had a lovely bedroom with a porch that we got to settle into. Joe and Maia are both great kids. We bonded with them quickly over beach visits and playing cards. Emma is an incredible mother and person who we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with, swapping stories and sharing space. Our first week was spent dog sitting while the family was away and we fell in love with Jada their golden retriever.… It was hard to leave to leave them all at the end of our stay and we are really looking forward to connecting again in the future. Franklin's finca experience is one of a kind. It offers a chance to really immerse yourself into farmer's more rugged life and help you develop some calluses along the way that feel earned. Food offered is simple, yet fresh and delicious. The work varies day by day, but once work is done, the day is yours to either join Franklin on his random trips into town, tinker in a workshop, read, or just explore. Franklin is organized, communicates plans well, and is honest about what is needed and or expected. His profile listing is a good example of this; his description should give the right expectations to people beforehand, but of course ask questions. Valuable lessons were learned in my time, and a world I hadn't seen before was fleshed out in a way that can only make me grateful to choose this uncertain adventure at the finca. Ultimately, the experience is what you make it, first understand what you are getting yourself into at the finca and then ask yourself why you want to do it. If those two things align, just show up with a positive attitude and it'll be a great experience.

Momoka stayed with us for three weeks. In the mornings, she was responsible for taking our seven-year-old daughter to school. She made lots of origami with our two youngest children (aged seven and twelve): they now have quite a collection decorated with Pokémon! She also helped with some DIY (painting, building an outdoor wooden shelter) under my husband's supervision. We shared our cultures through discussions in English or over dinner and films. In particular, we had a sushi evening which was greatly appreciated by everyone. Momoka was able to discover specialities such as "bouillabaisse", "cassoulet" and the tradition of the "galette des rois". Thank you, Momoka, for this cultural exchange and for your help !

Iida came at the right Moment and She worked very well (Just look how to do and She did It without the Need to explain). So cute with the children, respectful of the rules, flexible in adapting. Thank you Iida for your work and your friendship

I only planned on staying here for a month, but I ended up enjoying my time there so much I stayed until their olive harvest and even a couple weeks after. The work was straight forward and the community was amazing. Easily my favorite part of my experience was all the amazing people I met here. Allison and Zack do a great job at keeping a friendly and communicative environment in the house. I found myself feeling like a part of a family there. I definitely plan on returning again some time in the future.

Thea was a pleasure to host. Very independent but enjoyed time with the family. Highly recommended ⭐️

Yassin was an incredibly kind and gracious host. I immediately felt welcomed. He hosted me inside his language center in an apartment with everything I needed. I led lessons twice a week with students 11-15 who were enthusiastic and eager to learn. I was able to explore the surrounding area and immerse myself in the local culture. Yassin was always responsive and very easy to work with. Getting to experience such an amazing place while also being able to contribute to the community was a truly unforgettable experience. I would recommend this to anyone instrested in teaching and ready for an adventure.

My week with Sebastian was very pleasant. I frankly could not have had a better host and he made me feel very welcome in his house inside the clouds. Thanks again for the enjoyable discussion, the good food (the flan!) and for the TV shows marathon :p

It was a real pleasure having Illy and Lukas stay over Christmas, they are fun, tidy and generous. Illy helped me tremendously with my SEO and worked on my website which has sent more people my way - thanks ever so much!!! Lukas was hands on building shelves, gardening and making the house work more efficiently. Also these guys know about food, they cooked delicious meals to share and we had a lot of laughs together. They also picked up a couple of yoga classes each for me so I could rest which was amazing. I miss you both....and so do the animals.

Olivia was absolutely exceptional. Tip top human. She came for two weeks and stayed for 6! Olivia is easy to get along with, a keen surfer, kind at heart, a stellar cook, and a very supportive friend. Her many talents include photography and she took the most lovely photos of our treehouse for me to use in social media. She helped me organize my mind regarding launching our business and wrote down detailed notes including a welcome packet, which i had been dreading. She got me instagram ready and launch ready! Olivia and I worked together to put the finishing touches on the Treehouse and a female touch on the bathroom, kitchen, living room, bedroom, and exterior. She is also a nurse. When the crown fell off my tooth, she was the perfect person to have around and her calm demeanor and factual knowledge put me at ease. I wish I could list all the ways she is amazing, but she should just know that she made a big difference in our lives. Big impact with that big smile.

Ryan stayed with us for a month and was a pleasure to host. He is a interesting and entertaining guy who is very capable and happy to turn his hand to any task. I ended up being very busy at my office when Ryan was here so I didn't get to spend as much time with him as I would have liked. He had to work on his own for most of the time which he never complained about and always did an excellent job. We had some very enjoyable conversations and I felt I learned a lot from him. Ryan also fitted in very well with the family, we all missed him when he left. We would have no hesitation in recommending Ryan as a Workaway and hope our paths will cross again sometime if he is ever back in Ireland. Andrew & Siobhan

Tobias is a delight person to work with, He is polite, and agreeable. He did what I asked for and did well. He's job of weeding, pruning and watering all followed my instruction and well done. Judith is an excellent person—responsible, reliable, kind, and attentive. On top of that, she’s very talented and makes delicious treats! We are delighted to have her with us, helping our students improve their language skills.!

We very much enjoyed having Oliver and Lena stay with us, they were a great couple to have around and were cheerful, helpful and very capable. They stopped off on a cycling trip around the North West of Ireland and covered some very impressive distances with very heavy bikes. Both of them were keen to see the landscape around Sligo and, even though they were with us for a short time, I think they got to see some of the nice scenery. Oliver and Lena were great workers and were happy to get stuck into any task. We would highly recommend them as Workaway guests and hope to see them again sometime. Andrew & Siobhan

Hostel Mostol was one of the warmest and most enjoyable experiences I’ve ever had. I stayed there for several weeks, and each day brought something new and exciting. I am especially grateful to the staff for their friendliness and care—they truly made my stay comfortable and joyful. The guests, coming and going, were each unique and fascinating in their own way. I cherished every moment here, and I highly recommend everyone to go and experience this wonderful place themselves. I have a strong desire to return one day and open the doors of this hostel once again.

We spent two weeks with Catharina and Carlo, they both are very nice and caring people. Catharina is a strong and determined woman with such an interesting and inspiring life story. Carlo has incredible knowledge of the area and of history in general. Carlo is a most gentle and sweet man, with so much to give. He also had a lot of adventures in life and has a lot of wisdom that he gained from his experiences. We wish we stayed longer. We had a lovely accommodation, private and comfortable. Catharina is an amazing cook, every day, she has surprised us with truly delicious food. We worked in the garden mostly, and I (Barbara) helped Catharina in the kitchen as needed. We hope our help made a little difference and helped to put the garden back in shape. Thank you for everything, Catharina, Carlo and all the best for all the years ahead.
