My time with Peter and Lizzie on Waiheke Island was absolutely fantastic. While helping out with small tasks, I feel like I received so much more in return. We shared so many great moments—from walking together and driving along the beach to watching movies and enjoying olive oil tastings. I will never forget the healthy and delicious meals they prepared for me every day. Also, I’m already missing their adorable dog, Roxy! I highly recommend staying with Peter and Lizzie.

I had a wonderful week with Cole in her lovely farm. It was a pleasure to talk with her, in particular during the meal we shared (she's a fantastic cooker!). Working around all the animals was really nice and Cole is really precise in her work expectations so I find it quite easy to achieve what's needed to be done. The wing of the house where I stayed was very clean and confortable. Definitely a good experience :)

My time with Daisy, Mikey, & Cara made my time in Ireland one of the most special experiences of my life. I was welcomed in by this wonderful family with such openness, kindness, and true JOY. I was made to feel so comfortable and integrated into their daily lives. Daisy is an amazing person with an infectious laugh, grounded deep knowing of herself, curiosity for the world and other people, and an incredible listening ear. There were so many wonderful chats out on a walk or cozy by the wood stove. I will cherish them for the rest of my days! Sharing this home with Cara and Mikey also was such a delight-- there was always an art project, game or great conversation to be had with these wise, creative, and curious children. The work was varied and super flexible-- Daisy was always adamant that the work was secondary to getting to explore and truly enjoy the beauty that Clonakilty and West Cork has to offer. It felt like a true exchange and I was delighted to offer my support and then have weekends off exploring on my own or sharing adventures with Daisy and friends. This is great place for someone who is creative, independent, and can take things on on their own. I spent my time cleaning and organizing the house, doing some yard work and organizing, painting and little home DIY projects, and also took on a big project of redoing Cara's bedroom which included ripping up carpet, sanding and painting. This type of work was not required but was one of the most fun and think if this kind of thing is up your alley, Daisy's place would be a great fit for you :) I truly found lifelong friends in my stay with Daisy, and could not be more grateful for the time we shared. I loved them so much, I returned after my first stay and spent my final two weeks in Ireland with Daisy, Mikey, and Cara which was the most perfect way to end my time. Days filled with song, laughter, trampoline jumping, impromptu living room dance parties, delicious shared meals, nourishing conversations, and lively joy await you with these amazing people <3 Can't wait to return and see them all again.

Truly could not have asked for a more wonderful family to stay with during my time in Ireland. Nina, Kenny, Suzel, Babette, Hugo, Carol and Dietrich , and their next door neighbor friends, welcomed me with such warmth and treated me like part of their big wonderful family. Abbey House is a treasure and has endless things to explore, learn, and tackle as projects. I was so delighted to stumble into the opportunity to stay with such a creative family of artists and changemakers, and share my love of art and printmaking with them, and learn about all of their passions. We shared dozens of wonderful meals, great chats, and real discussions of the state of the world-- I feel I have made lifelong friends and comrades. The work expected was incredibly flexible and approachable-- it always felt like an easy collaboration on what to take on day to day. I took on some big organizing projects in the tool room and shed, did some deep cleaning of various parts of the two houses, lots of garden work with the veggie beds, greenhouses, and chickens, stacking wood, and other yard and garden work. I also often made family dinner which we all sat down and shared almost every night, which was one of my favorite parts of my stay. This family is kind, supportive, active, generous, funny, and spirited. There was never a dull moment in this home full of life, bustle, and love. I can't wait to return to spend time with these lovely people who are true friends. Cannot recommend a stay here enough.

I had a lovely time staying here. I felt like a family and not a workaway. You will feel respected, supported, and valued. The staff is incredible and the students are also friendly. The work is quite chilled, nothing complex, and the location is very central. So, in summary you will like everything about the experience. Thanks Sarah and the rest of the team for this lovely experience... Hopefully see you again at some point. Best, Mo

Carlos and Paola are wonderful hosts. From the moment you arrive, they make you feel welcome in their home and part of their little family. The hostel is comfortable and located on a farm 30 minutes from Popayán. The area is large and very quiet. I mainly helped with communications, but the tasks are varied and you can combine them according to your preferences. In my case, I also helped in the syntropic garden and with general tasks in the hostel and restaurant. There are many animals on the farm: dogs, cats, horses, chickens, cows, ducks, and many birds. The food is also very tasty and balanced, with fruit always available for breakfast and super fresh eggs. I can only recommend spending a few weeks there and disconnecting from the noise of the city. Gracias por todo chicos.

We stayed for one week with Aidan and Sally in sunny Hira. Our work included washing the outside of window frames and weather boards, a little bit of sanding the weather boards, weedeating, pressure washing the outside concrete, and tidying up/stacking wood of felled trees and branches. Aidan was flexible regarding our working days, so we could switch it around to move our free day to the hottest day when we were there. We were free to help ourselves to breakfast and lunch, and Aidan or Sally would cook up tasty dinners every evening, which we would have together. We shared many interesting and fun conversations. Both Aidan and Sally had many intriguing stories and viewpoints to share. On two evenings we played some card games which was fun! Two things you may want to be aware of: we had to climb a vertical ladder to get into our room under the roof (in case you have issues with ladders) and when we were there, there were quite a few sandflies (apparently they aren't usually up at the house, but if you react strongly to their bites you may want to have some repellent handy). As a whole, it proved to be a lovely base to explore the sunny Nelson area that we would happily recommend.

Thank you so much Myrtille for the truly wonderful time with you and your family! I would have love to stay longer than the week I stayed but definitely will let you know when I am close again! Thank you also for opening your doors to my dog Nala as well. And what can I say? Your family is lovely! I love both Ruben and Marceau! They're so special - each one in their one way and they were so open and trusting from minute 1. I felt immediately welcome and was so greatful for your openness and warmth and for including me in your invitations with family and friends, though I couldn't join you with your girlfriends, I appreciated the fact that you invited me. And your food, Myrtille, is truly delicious and so nutritious! Absolutely loved it! And I enjoyed our conversations very much! And the surrounding nature is the cherry on top :) All in all: 11 out of 10 <3

Mirre is an amazing person who is genuinely fun to be around, conscientious and great with kids! She has so many skills, and has seemingly tackled every sport and hobby known to humankind. The kids absolutely loved her. Honestly we don't usually have workaways this young but Mirre is grounded and honest, emotionally mature and loving. The cats loved her from the first moment and having two workaways here really filled the house with fun. We are so grateful for Mirre's time spent here, we really appreciated having her! Thanks for bringing so much joy and love into our home.

We spent an amazing five weeks with the family. It was our first Workaway, and we could not recommend it more. It was a perfect work-life balance as we worked around four hours per day, either in the morning or afternoon, and had plenty of time to explore the area, relax, and do fun activities. You have access to kayaks, paddleboards, bikes, the pool, etc. The school and the workers' accommodations are beautiful, clean, and have everything you'll need. Amanda and Jay were kind and caring hosts. They always looked out for you to make sure you have a great time and take your safety and concerns seriously. They are easy-going and helpful. If there's anything, you can count on them. They take you for groceries every week, but you can also bike to the closest town (20 minutes) if you need anything in between! The job was super fun! We had a lot of good memories with the children. They are lovely, funny, and you'll have a great time with them. You must be patient and love working with children, of course! If you do, you'll love this Workaway! We did a mix of main courses (math, reading, English, sciences, etc.) and games, crafting, dance, outdoor activities, and swimming. Your personal input is always welcome in every lesson. Playa Blanca is a beautiful small town right by the ocean. It's secluded and peaceful, but there are a few amazing restaurants and bars and cool places where you can eat, sing karaoke, dance, and have a great time with locals. An amazing experience for both of us, Thank you to the family! With love, Flo and Thalia :)

This is a magical place and I feel very lucky to have been able to spend a week there. Mish and Nige are such lovely, welcoming and warm individuals, and it was amazing to learn from them and the project here. They are so knowledgable, especially around conservation in New Zealand, and happily answered all of our questions. The work was super varied and interesting, some days oiling the deck, some in the nursery and some in the bush. I really enjoyed the day of seed propagation that Mish kindly shared her knowledge with us on, as this was something I was keen to know more about. I was part of a great workaway group, and we got to know each other well through the work and also spending time swimming in the river and doing different arts and music projects. We all stayed down the hill from the house, in our own sort of village, which was so lovely, and I got to sleep in an outside bunk bed, so see the moon every night as I went to sleep, which was wonderful. Thank you so so much.

My stay at Matias' place was nothing short of amazing—an experience I will remember for life. During my stay, I was immersed in the authentic Chilean way of life. Matias was well-informed about community events and local attractions in the immediate vicinity, as well as in the cities of Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas. Karen and their two daughters were also a delight to be around. On the weekends, I felt sufficiently equipped to explore the two cities on my own. During the workdays, I experienced the many facets of running a farm, including constructing fences, stacking firewood, and watering the assortment of vegetables and fruits. Matias is passionate about organic and sustainable farming, and it was evident he was very knowledgeable about the indigenous flora and fauna. I feel the experience has equipped me to live more sustainably and closer to nature. The meals were varied, healthy, and exceptionally delicious. The portions were more than satisfactory and provided the energy required for the work. I could not have wished for a more all-encompassing, authentic Chilean culinary experience. The accommodations had no shortcomings. I had my own spacious room with a private bathroom. The other volunteer I collaborated with had the same. Getting there was easy; I walked about a kilometer from the airport and caught a bus to Los Muermos. From there, I was picked up by a local driver who took me straight to the farm. Overall, I would highly recommend Matias' farm to anyone interested in sustainable agriculture and the Chilean way of life.

Marketa stayed with us for two weeks and she is a very pleasant house guest. She worked hard on the Finca, cared for the goats, horses and chickens but also helped with fencing and cleaning up the terraces and pruning the almond trees. We played games and when her boyfriend also joined he managed to help us with some mobile phone issues. She also got along well with the other workawayers and they all enjoyed riding Campero going to the yoga and hiking up Santa Barbara Mountain. We can certainly recommend her to other workaway hosts

Samira a un bel humour, se montre volontaire et a été d'une aide précieuse.
