Elisha and Clement were a wonderful addition to our team. They got along well with everyone, and were very professional in following a work plan, and creating wonderful videos and images. Their deep appreciation for the resort and it's natural beauty was reflected in the quality of their work. Their advice was useful, and their presence will be missed. Thanks Eli & Clem!

Rachel stayed with us for a short period and proved to be calm, patient, and reliable around the horses. She followed the routines as explained and completed the daily tasks steadily. Her skills with the horses are really good, and she handled the animals with care. She was learning Spanish and was practicing while she was here. Communication about the work was clear, and she respected the schedule and guidelines we set. She showed autonomy when needed and asked questions when something was uncertain, which we appreciated. She was proactive with daily tasks and cooking/cleaning the house. Overall, she contributed positively during her time here, and we thank her for the help she provided at our sanctuary.

Erica stayed for over two weeks us in November 2025. She was a lovely person to share our home with and she worked very hard every day. She was very enthusiastic and didn’t mind what task we set her. She was very interested in gardening and she helped us a lot in the garden on general maintenance including planting, weeding and clearing. She was also very helpful around the house and didn’t mind cleaning and domestic tasks. We had lovely dinners together which she always helped to prepare and was always the first to clear away and wash up. She was very interested in gardening and English country gardens in particular. We showed her a lot of books on English gardens and we even watched tv shows about English gardens! Erica is a super workawayer and I would thoroughly recommend her.

I stayed for one month with Carlotta and Marco. This was my first workaway experience and it was a great one. They are extremely friendly and helpful. They were kind enough to let me keep my motorcycle with them over Christmas and Marco even helped me fix my motorcycle. They also invited me out to a theater and a Christmas dinner. Their 2 dogs, Nero and Mirta, are very loving and the cat, Tobia, is a rascal, but you can’t help but love him. Carlotta is a great cook, Marco too, and you get to taste good wine. The work is rewarding and you have a lot of free time afterwards and on weekends. It is a very nice quiet location, and it is close to Tivoli. I couldn’t have asked for a better workaway experience, highly recommended 👍

I really enjoyed my four weeks with Michiel and Claire. Claire's food was excellent and almost always prepared with fresh vegetables from the garden. The tasks were very varied, sometimes in the garden, sometimes in the house, and you could always change the task if it didn't suit you. Our group of six workers very quickly became a close-knit group and we had a lot of fun working, playing games together and spending time together in between. On our days off, we also had time to go on short trips to Ghent and Paris. The bus and train connections are very good and Claire and Michiel are always offering a lift to train stations if they are travelling in the same direction. They also gave us great recommendations for travel. If you want to learn some French, you are also in good hands here. Claire is a fantastic teacher and the subject matter, the children's books of her daughters Fleur and Perle, captivated us more than the children on more than one occasion. Perle is also the happiest kid you'll ever meet und Fleur is so incredibly smart. They are really a joy to be around. Overall, it seemed to me that while work is naturally an important part of it, Michiel and Claire genuinely enjoy the company of the workawayers, and it felt like working and living with friends.

I spent 2 weeks with Maren, Gerhard and Levi and it was a very good time! They live in a beautiful and quiet place with a fantastic view. Their pets are very lovely and funny and of course I loved the organic vegetables from the neighborhood, avocado and mango groves all over the area. Maren and Gerhard are very kind and helpful! Everything went the way it was communicated beforehand. My job was helping with household, gardening, sometimes making dinner and babysitting. Levi is a very nice, charming curios little boy, highly intelligent! Everything was great for me, except for the weather. After all, there hasn't been such a cold, rainy January for many years. Despite this, I was able to see many beautiful things in the area and in Malaga. Maren, Gerhard and Levi thank you for the chance to stay with you and I hope to see you again, perhaps soon in Budapest!

I stayed with Kathrin twice, each time for about a month, and it was truly a meaningful and enriching experience. My daily tasks included cleaning the horse stalls, walking the dog, household cleaning, cooking, shopping and supporting wherever needed. The work is clear and fair, but it does require physical strength, especially when working in the stables. Being prepared for hands-on, active work is important – and at the same time very rewarding. Working with the horses was particularly touching for me. They are gentle, loving animals, and it was beautiful to feel their trust and to move confidently around them. They have a special place in my heart. Gittli is a very pleasant and well-balanced dog. Once you know where to be attentive, walking her becomes a true joy. What I valued most was the atmosphere in Kathrin’s home. I felt so comfortable that it truly felt like being at home. We laughed often, shared light moments, and also had meaningful and deeper conversations. Kathrin is open-minded, speaks honestly and listens with interest. She looks for solutions and offers support in a calm and constructive way. Living and working there felt balanced: responsibility, structure, physical activity and genuine human exchange. I am grateful for the trust and the time we shared. I warmly recommend staying with Kathrin to anyone who enjoys animals, practical work and respectful, open communication.

It was truly a pleasure to have Amanda staying with us for 10 days. During her time here, she helped with a variety of tasks, many of them winter-related, and she always said yes with a smile. She carried wood for the chimney many times, helped clean and tidy several rooms in the house, took care of keeping the goats warm and well fed, assisted me with drawing and painting, and even did some gardening toward the end of her stay. Amanda is a true angel — always smiling, kind, and incredibly helpful. She never complained about anything and was always open to cooperation and ready to support wherever she was needed. She constantly asked what she could do next and showed great willingness and initiative in everything she did. She is a warm, sympathetic, and easy-going person, and I fully recommend her to any future host. I sincerely hope she will be deeply respected and appreciated wherever she goes in life. God bless you, Amanda.

I stayed here for about two weeks and did have a good time. Robin was away on a holiday so I was alone with Miriam. We had nice conversations and I got a bit of an inside view of the irish life and culture! As well as improving my English skills and adding new words to my vocabulary! The work was quite physical outside with gardening (mulching, weeding, cutting back trees/bushes, pushing wheelbarrows, bringing in fire wood), but I enjoyed the time and got to learn new skills. Working hours: 10am - 4pm (1h break) A pity was that Miriam was sick the most time of my stay, so unfortunately we didn't get to work together at all. So the working hours could be a bit lonely on that regard - I listened to an audiobook which helped. I had some company in form of the three dogs they have, who are absolutely adorable! Also enjoyed going for a walk with them. One thing is that the house is quite old, not very good isolated and poorly soundproofed which at times could be a bit uncomfortable -> but! They're currently building a little cabin just for volunteers which is amazing! The next bus stop is 45minutes walk away or you can borrow a bike! If you have a car it's a perfect starting point to explore Co. Clare in your free time. Miriam made sure to invite me to some events she went to and also took me to the Galway market on Saturdays, which was really nice. I would come back next time in spring or summer to be able to really appreciate the flowers / garden in their full glory!

We loved having Carolyn and Aimée to stay. They did a fabulous job in the garden and cleaning the house. We are sorry they could not stay longer and would highly recommend them to other hosts . We enjoyed some long and interesting conversations around the dinner table. They are thoughtful, polite and friendly.

I had a great time working with Younes. I visited for six weeks from December to mid-January, and I had a really nice time. I was supposed to work at a hostel in the city. but that fell through *as I was arriving* to Tangier. I was confused and didn't know how I was going to spend my time, but, luckily, Younes was "looking for help immediately" and responded very quickly to my message. I really did just about everything here. The first three or four weeks were all just painting: I painted doors, windowsills, cupboards, and other things. Then we transitioned to a mix of painting, random chores/technical things, and babysitting. I got to spend a lot of time with his wonderful sons -- both are just so sweet and playful! The living situation wasn't entirely clear to me initially. The garden photo is a picture of the hill across the street. Younes owns a set of guesthouses that are essentially apartments with private rooms for multiple guests (shared guesthouses). I met so many people from all over the world; I made some new friends, and a highlight of my time was when I, Younes, and three other Francophones went to the Mali vs Senegal game at the Grand Stadium. The location is really nice, right next to Merchane and a bunch of really affordable shops and whatnot, so it makes cooking and living in the area relaxing and easy. It's about a 15-20min walk to the old medina. There is a coworking cafe very close-by for those that want to concentrate on personal work and such. The only complaint that I have is that I sometimes felt overworked -- I was (still am) working on a large project and didn't always have as much time to work on it as I wanted. Younes certainly put me to work, but he is also very flexible and lenient, so it all depends on the type of work/help he needs. All in all, I had a very positive experience and am hoping to be able to visit Younes and his family again sometime soon!

i stayed on the farm for about two weeks. what they do for the animals is amazing! the work can be quite physical at times (shuffling shit, feeding, walking the dogs) and a bit mundane, but you usually never work alone - so that's nice! There are 6 different areas you'll be assigned to, so you get to have a bit of variation which is nice! And you never really work alone so that's really nice as well. The workaway house is a very rustic (Very old, not good isolated, walls are super thin - so you can hear the busy road), there's only one shower for about 15-20 volunteers. There are also house chores which the volunteers are supposed to do each day - unfortunately when I was there some people just didn't do them. Also there's only one dinning table for about 12 people, so if it's a full house not everyone can sit, which is unfortunate. That being sad they're looking into building a "container village" this year, with more space / showers etc. -> which I think will improve the overall living conditions quite a bit. I still had a good time and for me two weeks was a perfect length of stay. You get to meet new people and connect which is super nice! As mentioned before the work they do for the animals (rescuing, saving etc.) is just amazing and so important! You do get the feeling like you can contribute to that.

I’m so grateful to this wonderful family for helping me during a really stressful, last minute situation when my previous host suddenly told me I had to leave earlier than planned. From the moment I arrived, they welcomed me with kindness, warmth, and genuine care. They made sure I was comfortable, well fed, and felt safe, which meant more to me than I can express. I also really enjoyed the work it was easy, fun and they provided me with everything I needed to get the job done and stay safe while doing it. They are truly amazing, beautiful people with big hearts, and I feel so lucky to have met them. I highly recommend staying with them if you get the chance, you’ll be in the best hands.

She also helped with cooking and made some yummy vegetarian meals. We would definitely recommend her and would happily host her again.

Fede visited us with the Italian group and contributed her time and energy to support our project. She worked wonderfully with the children, creating a meaningful and positive impact through her engagement and care. During her two weeks with us, she built a strong and genuine bond not only with the children but also with the entire team. Her kindness, enthusiasm, and willingness to help made her presence truly special for everyone involved. We are grateful for the time she shared with us and wish her all the very best for her future journey. We sincerely hope our paths cross again someday.

I stayed with Marc and Ross for 3 weeks and it was amazing! I did many different tasks: painting, helping with the van, farm, weeding, cleaning, and construction tasks. Marc has a lot of projects in mind. He's very patient with explaining and always has a smile on his face :) I worked with Ross for just one day (her day off from her work) and learnt a lot about plants on that day! The work was mostly light, but some days also physically a bit heavy, but that's okay :) Thank you Marc and Ross for the wonderful experience!
