Description
I (60) am a vivid, open minded and positiv thinking person and was living for years in Africa (International Red Cross) as well as in Asia (as expat with my family). Since five years we/ I live in an old Mill with a big garden and 2-3 horses and a dog. I have 2 daughters and became grandmother this year. I love to host guests and have a lovely circle of friends and family. Me and my husband are about to separate. That's one reason why I am looking for somebody supporting me for a few hours a week with tasks in stable, garden and house. My final goal would be to vistit my sister in Australia for 2-3 weeks, while you could keep an eye on house and animals. That means, that you should be a person loving nature and animals. I would introduce you to stable tasks, handling the horses and the dog. In Winter there is not a lot to do in the garden. Estimated 2-3 hours help a day. With the rest of time you should be able to cope and occupy yourself. Of course we will be cooking and eating together.
I am living in the canton of Solothurn, in the beautiful hills of the Jura, pretty central of Switzerland. From here you could easily discover the beauty of the most important Swiss cities (Zürich, Bern, Basel, Lucerne, Geneva, ...). I would love to undertake with you hiking or biking tours in the mountains (Alps) or with the horses, if you know horse back riding.
I plan to travel in March or April 2024. I suppose the best time to start our adventure to cope togehter would be beginning of february 2024.Types of help and learning opportunities

I guess thanks to my big circle of friends you could have a glimpse into some Swiss families. You will experience very closely how Swiss people function and explore Swiss nature. I am a teacher, teaching foreigners in German. So if you are interested to learn the language I could assist you easily.

You will have a spacious bedroom with your own bath and toilet. The kitchen and a very big living room we share. I like to cook and eat together.
What else ...
My village is rural but at the same time very central. By bus (2 times per hour) you reach the main trainstation. From there you are within an hour in Lucerne, Zürich, Basel, Bern, Neuchatel, a bit longer for Geneva. In the winter you can skiing or you have a lot of opportunites to discover the hills by snowshoes (if there is enough snow)
