Line stayed with us for 2 great months. The whole experience was really good. She is lovely, social and cheerful.Line helped us with pretty much everything.Took care of the general maintenance of the hostel, cleaning and laundry. She was one of the best receptionists we ever had.Within the first week she already knew what she had to do.She found out many things about Thessaloniki, day trips and happenings so she could help with the guests by giving tips and info and directions. She is polite and welcoming and overall a team player-she collaborates well with all the staff members. I totally recommend her for future hosts. Thank you very much

I stayed as a volunteer at the Maira's house during two weeks. This Workaway experience was very remarkable – it was like a real life together with Maira in her cozy house in the sense of shared activities, conversations and mutual involvement. We did together everyday tasks that I really enjoyed – went grocery shopping, cooked meals, took care of the cats, cleaned the house and the garden, painted the staircase in the house. We also spent our free tome together, talking, playing board games and table tennis. Conversations with Maira in German were very interesting and also helped me practice and improve my German. At the end of my stay Maira organized for me an exciting tour of the snow-covered Harz Mountains, with their picturesque forests, lakes, waterfalls and canyons. Maira has a really big heart, she is an amazing person, full of love for people, animals and the world around. I am very grateful to her for this wonderful time.

Mark & Maz are two of the best workaway hosts I've ever met. They both have such a heart of gold, and I enjoyed every interaction I had with them. I also had the pleasure of having up to 8 other volunteers on the property at the same time as me! Everyone stayed in their own private spaces but worked together, cooked together, and explored together. It was such a great opportunity to meet so many other travelers and experience the beauty of Mark's property and Ngatimoti with. The work was incredibly fulfilling, and adventurous. It felt so good to live in such a beautiful place & in exchange help protect the native forest by removing Old Man's Beard. So thankful for my week playing forest fairies, climbing treehouses, eating delicious food, working hard, and meeting incredible people. Will absolutely be staying with Mark & Maz if I'm ever in the area again ❤️

I loved my stay with Fionntáin. It very well organized and yet so relaxing. I was there with three other people who were all gorgeous. We spent a lot of sweet time together, went on hikes, ate, cooked or played cards. We all had our separate rooms to retreat in to at the end of the day. During the day we worked on light straw clay insulation for a wall in one of the houses. Even though we worked on this project for the whole two weeks of my stay it didn't become boring. The surroundings are very pretty, there are numerous hikes in the close vicinity and yet there's pub & shop in walking distance! Fionntáin is a very welcoming host who enriched my stay with conversation, laughs and knowledge about the land around his house. During my stay we were all staying in a mobile home/ caravan. There are limited amounts of electricity and mostly cold water. In my opinion its very much worth the experience and again made me see the luxury I normally live in. I definitely recommend staying here!

Michel is an exceptional and absolutely marvelous man! We spent a fabulous 10 days together on his sailboat where he welcomed me with open arms, an open heart, and amazing stories to tell. He showed me around Paraty, took me to super nice places, told me about spaces worth visiting, we went dancing, played music together, and shared a lot of meals – I owe him a bouquet of great experiences. He's also a fabulous cook – he prepared me many delicious meals while I was working on his sailboat, on tasks that we brainstormed and figured out together. He's one of the oldschool Workaway and Couchsurfing people – doing all this because it's simply a good thing to connect with people from all over the world, sharing experiences, and creating memories together. I will cherish the time I spent with him and if you go to his home with an open heart, I'm sure you will too. Thank you Michel!

Vanessa volunteered with us for approximately seven weeks, contributing both as a yoga instructor and as an activities volunteer. During this time, she assisted with hosting yoga classes alongside her peers, as well as daily activities such as hikes, braai nights, movie nights, and karaoke evenings, etc. She is a sweet, kind, and calm individual with a strong work ethic. Vanessa is determined, hardworking, and has a clear sense of direction, with many plans and goals for her future. She gets along well with guests and fellow volunteers. As part of her continued growth, Vanessa would benefit from placing stronger emphasis on adhering consistently to established guidelines and professional boundaries within a team environment. With greater alignment in this area, she has the potential to thrive even more effectively in structured settings. Overall, we appreciated Vanessa’s contributions and the effort she brought to her role. It was a pleasure having her with us, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

I spent a total of “only” eight days in Kelaa, but it felt more like several weeks, mainly because of the incredibly wonderful people I met there. Said not only takes care of questions about the city, accommodation, and school. With his very warm and welcoming manner, he ensures that you get to know Kelaa and its inhabitants in a very authentic way, shares his knowledge of the culture, and has great conversations with you! The same goes for Rasheed, who is mainly responsible for the school's operations, but also for trips to neighboring cities, and is very helpful, even for joint activities. It was always a pleasure to spend time with him. The school is well organized, and arrangements can be made quickly and flexibly. I really enjoyed teaching. The students are all very interested and motivated, and want to share their culture, which is beautiful. Ultimately, I had an unforgettable time there and I am sure that I will go back. Because ultimately, friendships were formed that I already miss. Said, Rasheed, Fatima, Abdelhadi (and all other great persons i met there): Shukran for this incredibly wonderful time. See you soon!

We spent one week with Denise, the donkeys and another Workaway-couple. It was just a perfect fit and we learned so much about donkeys and so many other things. For us it has been the perfect workaway, because Denise has been hosting workawayers a lot and could share much experience. The work depended on the weather, but we've always had fun and learned a lot. Thank you so much for the time and the wonderful christmas we've had together! Laurie & Kilian

I stayed two months at Patrizia’s place, it was my first Workaway, and I had an absolutely incredible experience. Patrizia is a fascinating woman, with a great life story and a lot of experience. She has a heart of gold, always ready to help and share. Thanks to her, I was able to discover so many fascinating things that I won’t detail here, because they truly deserve to be discovered by yourself. I don’t want to spoil the surprise ;) , but I can assure you that you will not be disappointed, neither by the Workaway nor by the region where it is located. -On site (the Workaway)- I had my own private accommodation, attached to Patrizia’s house. There is absolutely everything you need: kitchen, refrigerator, freezer, shower, toilet, heating, etc. You won’t miss anything. The space is very spacious and pleasant, ideal if you need to work. There is a bedroom with a double bed, which is perfectly suitable for one person or two maximum. The land is also large and very enjoyable. -The animals- This is without a doubt the most important part. I took care of the animals as if they were my own. You therefore need to love animals, dogs and cats, as they are a full part of the Workaway. It involves feeding them, taking care of them, and giving them attention. They are all adorable, each with their own personality and eating habits. Be prepared to get attached… and to have your heart slightly broken when you leave them :) <3. -Location- The Workaway is located in a small village called Marausa. Trapani is about 18 minutes by car, and Marsala 25 minutes. In Marausa center, 5 to 10 minutes from the Workaway, you will find everything you need: butcher, supermarket, fish shop, vegetables, panificio, post office, etc. There are also buses (I recommend downloading the “ATM Trapani Bus” app for schedules) as well as a train station. The Workaway also provides two bicycles, and the beach is 10–15 minutes on foot. -My experience and recommendations- First of all: come to Patrizia’s place, she is the best. Personally, I rented a car (via [www.discovercars.com](http://www.discovercars.com), which offers excellent prices). I literally fell in love with Sicily: the air, the landscapes, the food, and the lifestyle. Every place is unique. It is also a perfect place for sports: kitesurfing, surfing, windsurfing, cycling, hiking. It is impossible to get bored. There is always something to do, and even a simple encounter in the street can turn into a real adventure.

We had a lovely time, our hosts were great. Rainer gave us lots of info regarding where to visit and what was available. He also took us to a live mic night which was beautiful and also showed us around the river near the house. We had an epic time with everyone and all the team were chatty and was a great place to spend a week. Building a new bamboo project. We had great opportunity and experience for our first workaway. Thanks to everyone. Missing the jungle vibes x

Staying with Jan was a very interesting and rewarding experience. He trusted us greatly by leaving his cats in our care during his absence, which we truly appreciated. The work included various tasks around the house and the property, such as small repairs, painting, a bit of kitchen rearranging ;) and some gardening. There is nothing more beautiful than picking fresh oranges in December and enjoying them on the sunny terrace.

We spent 10 days with Caramello and the cats whilst Eliana and Pedro were away. The time we did get to spend with Eliana and Pedro, they were kind, generous, sociable and very fun. We learnt alot about music and culture, were recommended some beautiful spots to visit, and they both went out of her way to help organise our ongoing travel. Super kind!! Caramello was an absolute dream, we loved his playful character, and the cats were a pleasure to look after too. The house is beautiful and in an amazing location with beautiful views, curiti is a cute and colourful town and san gil is very close. We absolutely loved our experience here and hope to visit again one day.
