Daryl was an excellent volunteer during his one month stay on my ranch. He is a hard worker who completes all of his tasks. He was very friendly with my animals as well. I wish he could have stayed longer! I highly recommend him as a volunteer!

I've been at the hostel for 3 weeks and I loved it. The work schedule is not stressful at all, you get a lot of time for yourself and for meeting other people. The team is also beautiful: the people working there and the volunteers were very kind and always available for any problem. I would recommend spending some time here to live beautiful experiences with people from all over the world. See you next time :)

The hostel is "Bacan"! (awesome to us gringos). The manager Jona is a great singer, always playing music making the atmosphere incredible. I felt completely at home here. The staff are incredible, the guests are great, and it’s the perfect place to meet, bond, and enjoy the famous waves of Pichilemu 🤙

I spent almost three weeks with this lovely family, and honestly, it still didn’t feel like enough. Antonella and Giovanni are incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming people. From the very beginning, they made sure I felt comfortable and truly at home. They loved showing me around, and on weekends we would spend time together exploring, enjoying many cappuccinos in local cafés — which became one of my favorite little rituals. Antonella also shared some meditation and breathing techniques with me, which I really appreciated, and Giovanni took me on a beautiful little trek near Mount Etna. These moments made my stay even more special. The tasks were very simple. I helped with daily things like cleaning and organizing, and I cooked lunch and dinner. It was easy to cook for them and everything felt balanced and uncomplicated. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely Antonella’s mother. She was so warm and welcoming, and I truly cherished the time I spent with her. She even invited me to her home for an incredibly delicious Italian meal. I would absolutely recommend this family to anyone who wants to experience real Sicilian culture and enjoy a genuine family atmosphere. I truly hope we meet again :)

Wow! Michel is a profesional volunteer, skilled in a lot tasks and competencies. He was an amazing help during this moving period to the new house and the construction projects of the house and the land. Someone we can really trust, very respectful and responsable. If you have the chance to have him as a volunteer, you are very fortunate. Thank you so much for you help!

I want to say thank you it was my first experience with Workaway also and it was an incredible experience! I would recommend this experience to chocolate lovers 🍫😂 it is great you get to know the whole process from harvesting to the final chocolate bar 🍫. I admit that I was scared a little in the beginning as I didn’t had any experience in that field before but fortunately the “guide” Richy was great and I got to learn a lot with him thanks. Love Ecuador 🇪🇨 it’s a lovely country also🫶

I am grateful that Aleksandra was flexible and ready to help me when coming from hospital. She worked methodical and thorough in our house, preferred to work outside. I wish she could have stayed longer as my elderly companion. We had good communication about our countries, cultures and languages during meals.

All good! 3 weeks of kindness received from Aname and her son, great food and conversations. Lotsa play with Missie ,the shy one, who will love you soon. The tasks to help out with were well explained and not challenging, and without any time pressure. All in all, a great experience in a setting well worth discovering. Thank you Aname.

We had the most beautiful and rewarding time at this place! We volunteered here for five weeks, and it truly felt like a home away from home. From the very first day, we were welcomed with such warmth that it instantly became more than just a hostel to us. So far, we haven’t found any other place that even comes close in terms of good vibes and the incredible hostel atmosphere. The sense of community here is something really special. The work tasks were always well communicated, fair, and totally manageable, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We honestly can’t recommend this place highly enough! Thank you for everything — for the laughs, the memories, and the feeling of belonging. We’ll definitely be back ❤️

Olly is a wonderful person. He works completely independently and very hard, and he has excellent skills. He is also very discreet and respectful. Conversations with him were always pleasant, and he always left the kitchen and shared spaces clean and tidy after using them. He is respectful toward others and genuinely a lovely person to have around. I would happily welcome him back anytime.

I worked hard for two weeks and had the opportunity to learn so many different things. The foundation mainly supports the local community and also serves as accommodation for about 20 people. During my stay, I helped with maintaining the house, taking care of animals, sharing meals, organizing items, and general maintenance work. I was able to learn about Italian culture, food, and ways of communication. What stood out the most was the family-like atmosphere of the foundation, which created a strong sense of closeness and connection. They welcomed me with open arms, and I truly appreciated their warmth. The food was especially incredible — really, really delicious. This foundation also has unique values that you may not easily experience elsewhere. I learned about the spirit of non-possession, helping one another, expressing emotions and feelings honestly, and caring deeply for the local community. They genuinely embraced me with open hearts and even told me I could stay longer if I wanted to. I can still feel their warmth to this day. Since I am not deeply familiar with Italian culture as a whole, it would be difficult to say that this foundation represents Italy entirely. However, they were incredibly open-minded, and I encourage you to approach them with the same openness. but I could feel Italian talks a lot 😂 What I remember most are the two children. Their spontaneous hugs warmed my heart deeply. Olivia, thank you for drawing a picture for me. I hope you'd have luck too.

Christophe has spent around a month on our boat and has contributed a great deal. Besides being a hard worker, he is a great companion and a very calm person who brings serenity and responsibility. We have shared many laughs and wonderful moments all together.

Staying with Barbara was a truly lovely experience. She is warm, welcoming, and very open-minded, and she creates a relaxed atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The food was amazing — fresh, generous, and always shared in a convivial way, which made the experience even more special. She trusts her Workawayers and gives clear explanations, which makes it easy to work independently and organize tasks with autonomy. The projects are varied and interesting, and you feel that your help is genuinely appreciated. Beyond the work, Barbara is a very inspiring person with many ideas and stories to share. It was a pleasure to spend time together, and I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone looking for a meaningful and enjoyable Workaway.

Charlotte and Sophia were a great help, but more importantly, they were also absolutely lovely to have around! We really enjoyed our time together, watching the aurora, cooking, baking, playing games, and drinking loooots of tea 😊 They were super reliable and independent when we had to go away for work, and we‘d welcome them back anytime! Maybe next time in summer to explore the rest of Tromsø & Senja ☀️ All the very best for your future adventures!

Mike and the family stayed for about 2 weeks. They are the 1st family that I've ever hosted from Workaway. First I thought it was a challenge to host a family of 5 but everyone made it so easy to host. The boys are so mannered, matured and helpful, I really enjoy hosting them. I got a huge respect for Mike and Mel of how they raised their kids so well. Mike and Mel are also great teachers! The students and all the schools loved them. Oil, Archie and Lennon are also great teacher assistants. I got no worry about the house at all when Mike and Mel and the boys were staying there. I wish they could stay longer. Highly recommend to host this family!

Really helpful couple. Always in a good mood and willing to help with any task. They did a great job sanding a lot of furniture and painting. We also fixed a pretty high roof together. They left the place spotless after finishing their work. It was a really nice experience. I strongly recommend them.

I must say that my experience was over all my expectations ! I was looking for a peaceful place to center and disconnect from everything, and this is exactly what I found. Van and Thong are profoundly nice and willingly share the story of Mang Den and their culture. if you're looking for a place to just relax, live a slow life, appreciate the landscape (meditate) and just do nothing this is the place to go. sunset and sunrise are beautiful, and I spent every days watching it. I was there for the TET holidays, and they offered me to join them for their activities (church, night market) sharing with me the story of Mang Den and the Mang Den Mary. The dogs are amazing, sometimes even too friendly (if it can be). I slept in a tent which was more than comfortable, they provide a real mattress (which is clearly game changer) a pillow and blanket, so yeah you're sleeping in a tent but a really comfy one ! They provide alooooot of food, and I've never left the table hungry and they also tried to change the food every meal to make it more pleasant for me and I really appreciated it. I even had the chance to get a farewell cake made by Van 🫶🏽 in terms of work, it was quite repetitive, they needed me with strawberry tree, and cutting the leaves - kinda physical for the back, but again, if you're there in a spirit of disconnection you can just do it at your own pace, and mindfully like I did and it works well, I was basically working from 7:30 to 12:30 with a few breaks in between then lunch and then 1 additional hours to make up for the 5 hours. overall I really hope to keep contact with them, and see their farm grow and become the place they hope to have. And it was definitely my best experience in Vietnam. thanks so much to both of them ! and a big up to Lili, the kindest dog ever ❤️ thanks again Van and Thong for this unique experience that I'll keep with me forever

It was my first workaway and it was pretty chill. You do basic house work like cleaning the gardens or helping with chores where they need. It helped me get back to my spanish and Pichilemu was the perfect slow beggining to my trip.
