Hello! I'm Stefanie, I live in Montreal (Canada) with my partner and our beautiful, troublemaker of a cat. I love learning new things, especially about nature and the environment.
I am new to Workaway but eager to try it out! I can be pretty independent when it comes to tasks I've done before, but if it's something I'm new at, I will ask questions along the way to make sure I am doing things correctly. I'm more than happy to share about myself and chat with new acquaintances to learn about them, but I do need a little bit of alone time every day.
I've been to France, Spain, the UK, Belgium, Japan, Mexico, Italy and the Netherlands.
Back home I like to do things like birdwatching, reading, playing boardgames and watching movies.

I have University degrees in Communications and Design. I work at a design cooperative in Montreal, where I help organizations improve the services they provide their customers or patrons. My job involves lots of problem-solving!
On the more practical side, I have frequently done minor home improvement projects like painting, wall patching etc. I have also started helping out this year in my neighbourhood's collective garden, so I am learning about best practices for vegetable gardens.
