We had a great time staying with Linda and David, they're both super friendly and easy to get along with! We appreciated that they gave us good suggestions for walking and places to go in the local area, and even took us to a cool pizza place on our last night. The house is lovely, with beautiful views over the valley from our bedroom, and it was nice to have the dogs and cats around for a bit of fuss. Work was about 4 hours each day, mostly in the garden and tidying up the outdoor areas of the property after a storm. Ellen also exercised Linda's two horses, which was definitely the best work we could have been asked to do! 10/10, would definitely recommend (as the last review said, definitely come if you like this place!) :)

Audrey, thank you so much for the precious experience! I had a very fruitful time for a month. This was my first workaway and Audrey has a lot of humanity and full of emotions host who has made my life very special. We did so many things like gardening picking the mushrooms and tidying up the barn and organizing the fridge. The work was hard but her delicious home-cooked meals every day kept me going! It took me a while to get used to life here, as it was very different from Japan and my English skills were not good but, the community around Audrey was wonderful, and everyone treated me with such kind. I'm even worried that my life starting tomorrow might feel boring🤣 Audrey, I appreciate you. Thank you so, so much. Please, take a good rest!

Tiffany and Johnathon are just lovely, incredibly obliging easy going and helpful - they were an absolute delight to host. Unfortunately Jonathon was unwell most of the time with me but he seems very capable and the one days work painting he did for me was very much appreciated but probably a case of under utilizing his skills. Tiffany is so enthusiastic and full of life and did a great job of revamping my veg garden which involved moving a lot of heavy pebbles - I marvelled at her strength - oh to be young and strong.I suspect they wont be back this way but if they ever were I'd love to have them return.

It was such a wonderful experience. I truly appreciated living with locals, it made the stay feel so authentic and special. The family is incredibly kind and so lovely, we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. We’re really sad to be leaving. I would recommend this place 100% without hesitation. The location is absolutely beautiful and perfect for enjoying the area. Thank you again for everything, we’d come back anytime!

It was our first workaway ever, and we are glad to have chosen Lane's farm : the place is fabulous. Living in true nature, surrounded by trees, chicken and goats. The dogs were amazing too. Actually, even if you don't like dogs, you will like them, lovely and super smart at the same time. The work is not too hard, was mostly wattering at this period. We also had the chance to plant 30 mangos trees ! Really hope they will make it through and give a lot of fruit in the next years !! Also, you will eat veeeeery well there. That's one of the best point. Delicious smoothies 3 times a day, avocado toast on morning, you will discover the rest. And Lane is a very good person, always nice, flexible and super positiv anytime (even when the goat destroyed a plantation 😛) . You feel like home. Easy life, at first it looks kinda awkward but in a few day you get used to it and it feels so good. Nights are amazing as well. There is crickets noise but it becomes relaxing very fast. The roaster are far from where we sleep so they dont bother. There could be some bugs at night, and you might need to set up a fire, but not everytime for us. And the stars ... You litteraly turn the head from your bed and you can see them, illuminating the night. It is a pure experience on its own. All in all. Come try it ! Highly recommand 🙂

I had a wonderful experience staying and working with MJ's family. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The cottage I stayed in was amazing, peaceful, and perfectly equipped. During my stay, I not only had a lot of fun but also the opportunity to learn many new skills and experience. The family was supportive, kind, and happy to share their knowledge. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a positive and enjoyable experience. I’m very grateful for my time there and truly hope others get the chance to enjoy this as much as I did.

I stayed one week with Candice and Te Uira but by the end felt like much longer. From the beginning I felt welcome, Candice genuinely cared for me and I felt like staying with a friend. Our conversations and our exchange were incredibly meaningful and enriching to me! I was able to help Candice around the house, painting her cozy shed and sometimes cooking with her delicious meals. I couldn't have imagined a better first Workaway; this experience will remain forever. I'm grateful for this opportunity! Ngā mihi

Abby & Graham’s place was so idyllic and calm. Their home is surrounded by the Australian scenic countryside and mountain ranges clustered around them - there’s even a viewpoint right by their house which offers a lovely spot to sit at in the evenings! We were given e-bikes which meant we could explore the area, as their place is pretty remote, though a 15 minute cycle into town. But they were kind enough to drive us to some cool places around when we all had time! They’re both retired teachers, and as by their nature taught us many tricks of the trade. They’re building a farm shop for their truffle farm and we were lucky to be apart of some of the process (and even have some cool photos of us to show for it!). Abby also showed us some Australian cuisine like meat pies, baked us cakes for dessert and even steak with truffle custard (which was amazing!). All in all it was truly a lovely experience spending time with them and wind down a little bit. We really wish them the upmost success with their business and all the best in the future! :)

Although I left a few days earlier than planned, I had a very nice time with Anne and Robert. They recently moved to a temporary place while their new house is being built, which meant that the description of the place, tasks, and photos were no longer completely up to date on Workaway. I pointed this out and they responded very well to this. Anne said she had immediately updated the photos on the website. Apart from the fact that my expectations were somewhat different, I really enjoyed my days there. I stayed in my own retro caravan and there were two other really nice girls there when I was there. Anne and Robert are incredibly sweet people. I laughed a lot at Robert and all his stories, and Anne took us to her magical spot by the river. We laughed, had nice conversations, and I learned a lot about Tasmania and Australia. I helped them with whatever needed to be done, and in my free time, we went for walks, swam, and visited New Norfolk. We ended my last evening together with a barbecue!

My time here was very good for my personal development and I was very happy to help students with German and Spanish. Leaving in Kalee was a very Moroccan experience and that was what I was searching for! Me and the other volunteers were organising some activities on Sunday like little trips, hikes or cooking :)

Marion & Tin and their two boys are the most lovely family who really care for all the animals here. I ended up extending my stay because I didn't want to leave and was here for around 3 weeks and I absolutely loved it! days filled with animal love and we had pad thai together some nights as a family. The accommodation is clean and private and the surroundings with the mountains are absolutely gorgeous! theres even a river you can swim in on the hot days! Thankyou so much for having me and letting me be a part of your beautiful life

We had an absolutely incredible experience with Taro in Osaka! It was our very first time using Workaway, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. The place Taro owns is truly amazing: very spacious, inspiring, and filled with such good energy. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. It’s a lively and welcoming space where something is always happening, and every day brings new and beautiful moments. Taro is an incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful person. He is also very interesting and inspiring. It was a real pleasure to meet him, talk with him, and share part of our journey with him. He has created a warm and supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable and valued. We were also lucky enough to meet amazing people from all around the world. We shared delicious meals, explored Osaka together, enjoyed fun nights out, and had unforgettable barbecues on the rooftop. These simple but meaningful moments are memories we will always cherish. As for the work, we helped with renovation projects, which was such a cool experience. It felt great to actively contribute to creating and improving such a special place. Seeing the progress and the transformation day after day was very rewarding. We also had the opportunity to help Taro with the distribution and promotion of one of his films. Being involved in communication, marketing, and sharing the project on social media including highlighting our Workaway experience was something unique and exciting that we truly enjoyed. We worked in the mornings, which gave us plenty of free time to fully enjoy the city. It was the perfect balance between volunteering and exploring everything Osaka has to offer the culture, the food, and the vibrant atmosphere. We recommend this place 10,000%! If you are looking for a meaningful human experience filled with great people, creativity, and unforgettable memories, this is the place to go. Thank you so much for everything, Taro. We really hope to see you again one day! ✨

Thank you so much Alan, Dionny and family for this great experience! An excellent project located in one of the best places of Peru by far. From the beginning I felt Alan's trust on my skills to improve the digital infrustrcutre of their projects. We've worked together very well, and we reached all the goals. We created a fundraising for the non-profit school and it worked very fast. We had awesome experiences with the volunteers, visiting outstanding landscapes and sharing a lot together! I will always be grateful with you, I wish that God always bless your project and family! Best wishes!!!

It feels like santi, lily, and the rest of the people tending to the land in the valley have loved a place back to life that was dying of thirst. I know, sounds a bit extreme and dramatic. But I rode my motorcycle around the mountains of the valley and it's so very desolate. but with joy and playfulness and lots of singing and dancing and delicious food and hard team work they create a more habitable environment. It was an absolute honor to be apart of that community for the time that I was. So grateful for this experience! Love you guys!

Naomi’s place was wonderful during my two-week stay. I did various gardening tasks like weeding, composting, and fruit picking. We worked together with the other woofer, and she always checked to make sure we felt comfortable. The two-hour daily schedule left me plenty of free time, and I felt right at home on her farm. She even taught me tincture-making and shared herb knowledge, which was fascinating. I loved the comfy caravan where I slept and the shed with the kitchen and living area. Thank you, Naomi.
