    Description

My husband and I live on a 10 acre property in West Gippsland with our 3 dogs, 1 cat and 3 horses. We also have 3 chickens who provide us with daily eggs. We live close to beautiful forests with great tracks for horse riding, walking and cycling.

We built our house together making Adobe bricks from our property and using recycled timber. All the trees in the garden we planted and there are several chestnut trees on the property for chestnut feasts in Autumn.

The work away will have their own bedroom, TV room and bathroom.

Outside there is a solar heated pool, spa, BBQ and pool cabana to relax - summer time only!
In the area there are many walks and cycle/mountain bike paths in the forest. Torongo Falls is a short drive and a lovely walk. Mt Baw Baw alpine resort is approx 1hr drive.

We live in a beautiful forested area close to Melbourne. There is a train station about 20 minutes away by car and can pick up from there. If you can ride a horse confidently - walk, trot, canter then you could experience a ride in the forest with me. We can lend you some e-bikes to ride trails on. Take you to a local Aussie pub by a beautiful river or see a stunning waterfall.
While you are helping us on our property you can learn about life in rural Australia and other good places to visit. I also like cooking food from around the world so maybe we can swap recipes.

We have lived in Japan and Graham can speak good Japanese if that’s something you randomly want to learn!

    Help

We would like some help painting the timber in the horse arena and also on our barn. Maybe a little help with some gardening as we have a large garden. If you can ride a horse then I can take you for a ride in the forest nearby. I can also show you how to train our dogs for sniffing truffles.
