I had Taylor and her brother staying with me for over a week. They were a great team and an absolute delight to have around. She was really diligent and efficient and did a great job of everything I asked and also was great company. I can highly recommend her!

I absolutely loved my time with GG!! This was my very first Workaway experience and GG made it to an unforgettable one. She's a very kind woman who communicates everything very clearly. That makes working extremely easy! The moment I arrived, she created a very welcoming and warm atmosphere. The caravan is super lovely and I enjoyed cocking with the home-grown veggies! It's easy to talk to GG and I'll miss our evenings spent cocking and watching our travel show! Don't hesitate to stay with her -- you won't regret it! I'm definitely visiting when I'm in New Zealand again! Thank you so much GG for our time together! Just thinking about it brings me joy!!

The host is a really kind person, we get proper meals twice a day, and the room is clean. It was my first time visiting Nakhon Sawan, but I really like this place — there are many nice people and plenty of shops. I quickly became friends with the other volunteers, and I’m sure we’ll see each other again even after this volunteer experience ends

We stayed with Ruth and Mark for 2,5 weeks the first time and came back for another week at the end of our trip in New Zealand. We really enjoyed staying at their place because of the varied rewarding tasks. Such as collecting wood, gardening, building a fence and our favorite; doing the cows in the morning with Abbi. We loved every dinner during our stay and enjoyed the times we played card games. Their house is full of kindness from the warm-hearted and thoughtful people and animals, however it may not be for everyone because it is a quite busy household. Furthermore, we will miss all the dogs and the beautiful sunsets from the deck. Thank you so much Ruth and Mark for letting us stay at your place twice and trusting us with your animals when you were away.

my experience here it was the most relaxing and satisfyingly . the owners are incredibly friendly and laid back. they speak English perfectly and honestly take care of yoy, your needs you comfort you food. they don't ask for anything in return if not to add a little or your personal touch the pace, which could be by painting, building, farming, hosting, basically whatever you do best! they will give you green light to express yourself freely , creatively or in whatever way you want. the only daily "must do" ? scaring away the monkeys during the day with a sling shot, and to water the plants every evening because it was dry season. the other projects are all up to you. you will also meet to most friendly neighborhood, where they all help each order daily regarding everything. Legend is the legend in town ,and Man own the coffe bar restaurant in front. amazing people and amazing food, although the food is never missing at the camping:) the pace it's big , with a river, and gives you Al lot of options on how to use it. there are often other long stay volunteers as that are all happy to take care of the place together . amazing work exachange! thank you forever MD!

Jeane and Esther, I have experiences to work with Jeane and Esther for one week at my school which located in Battambang Cambodia. We have a great memories even just one week. They both did very great job to support the kids and teachers at school. They are very creative idea to bring some change to school during their working. As the school director, I am really impressive and thankful for their value time to be apart at my school and family. I really love both of them very much. They are amazing volunteers. Our children, teachers and family really miss them already. We really hope to meet them again in the near future. Best wishes.

Flora is an absolute amazingly, inspiring person. We had fun, and we got a lot done! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Flora comes with a lot of experience in household, kitchen, cooking and gardening chores, so she could easily accomplish any tasks that were on my list. She helped get the house cleaned for my big whanau visit, did the weeding, cleaned the driveway, picked fruit and helped with processing. I would have Flora back any time ... ! Kakite and happy travels!

A small shared living community just outside Black Creek, in a quiet area very close to Miracle Beach. The group operates independently, mainly helping Kolby with his work in the garden or around the house. There is plenty to do, and you can also organize your own working hours. Kolby cooks a fantastic dinner every day. In the mornings and at lunchtime, you usually take care of yourself from the fridge or eat leftovers. On some days, Kolby works away from home, giving you free time or the chance to work independently as you prefer. I was also able to take days off when I planned an excursion. The evenings at the beach are breathtaking. Kolby is a fun guy who helps with the work, assigns tasks based on your strengths, and has extensive knowledge of gardening and edible plants, which he is happy to share. We laughed a lot together, and the final evening—when his girlfriend was back—was amazing. I also spent my free time with others in the shared house, which I really enjoyed. It was a great experience. Thank you so much guys for this amazing time🤗☀️💕🐳

It has been wonderful to have Niamh as a volunteer after we had been away from the project for some time without receiving volunteers. 🌟 She proved to be the perfect person to restart with—friendly, communicative, easy-going, and incredibly participative. Although her stay was brief, we quickly felt very comfortable with her, almost as if she had been a long-time roommate. For me, it's important to create safe and trusting spaces where communication flows naturally and there's plenty of flexibility, and I believe she was able to take full advantage of this environment. Niamh was always ready to participate in all the different activities we organized, whether they were related to permaculture and community gardens or more social outings aimed at building and strengthening community 🌱 What was particularly beautiful, as a Latin American, was witnessing her effort to learn Spanish. In a short amount of time, she developed quite fluent speech with very good pronunciation—something refreshing! At the beginning of her stay, she understood some words and basic phrases, but by her return for her second stay, we could have a basic conversation in Spanish. Her progress was incredibly exciting and rewarding to see. The dynamic flowed very naturally throughout her time with us. We would be very happy to have her back again in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend her to other projects. 💚

Jasmin and her family made our stay in Tasmania the most exiting, comfortable and lovely we could have imagined! When you are in luck to see her announcement, and you are fine with an easy lifestyle and no luxury in the classic way, you should definitely meet them all. The first moments Jas showed us around and explained the work, she said "mostly, i want you to enjoy yourself". And this was a promise she kept. The first time we were confused with all the freedom. The work was gardening and woodsplitting and we helped where we could, with the things that came up so everybody can enjoy their freetime. Mostly we stayed on our own with food and slept in our car but "sharing is caring" became reality before we thought about it. You can be part of a nice little community, if it fits. We feel very sad to leave, thats the only bad thing about it. We found friends and family in this magic place. Thank you all for the time together. We have to see again, bye!

Lukas was an excellent workaway guest. He did the assigned tasks willingly and cheerfully, even when the weather wasn't great. He didn't need a lot of direction and completed tasks efficiently. Lukas was a quiet and respectful guest who followed house rules, and was clean and tidy. He was very attentive of Kitty and cared well for my home when I was away. I'd recommend Lukas without reservation.

Our time at Jill's was the perfect start to our journey in New Zealand. We spent two weeks with her and William and I don't think we will ever forget them! We shared stories, ideas, laughs and it was exactly what we needed to be in such a peaceful place with kind people. We learnt so much about syntropy which really inspired us to think more deeply about nature and how we might even start a garden of our own one day! Jill trusted us to do the work and everything was explained clearly. We fell into a great routine while at Jill's and there was a perfect balance of work and down time. We are so thankful to Jill and William for everything they shared with us and we will forever have a connection to them and their beautiful garden.

Karla was a very kind and gracious host who took in myself, Morgan and Laurens last minute due to a bad workaway host that we had to leave. Even though she told us she was not prepared for workawayers yet, Karla and Milo made sure that we had warm spaces to sleep and Milo even went out of his way to put a diesel heater inside of the summer cabin so that it would be warm enough for one of us to sleep in. She often left us cookies and bought us delicious sourdough bread among other kitchen staples. She was a very gentle and kind person who seemed to have a big heart, regardless of the circumstances of life. The work was labourous for this portion of the season but we didn't mind too much as Karla had such a big heart and wanted to help her. I bet the garden will be lovely come summer time! The ad is up to date and I would recommend spending some time at Karla's property and enjoying the beautiful area and very nice people. We will be back I'm sure in the future.

Lilu is an extraordinary young woman. Loving and caring. She has a very soft energy and having her at home was a blessing. She is also a great cook. I will love to have her back anytime. And of course I definitely recommend her. She is absolutely great. ☀️🙏

Luca And Ellie were great Hosts. I stayed in the bungalow and honestly.. the best night's sleep ive had in Thailand. Litterly a stone throw away from your own beach. This was my first workaway experience, and I hope the rest of the places will be this groovy. Ellies cooking and secret recepie ice cream made the stay feel like a real family home. The boat is cool and I hope to see Luca sailing the 7 seas soon!

I had an amazing time with Katherine and Paul in Bellingen. we ate great home cooked food and the little cottage was cozy and comfortable. Paul and Katherine trusted me to work independently and complete the jobs they needed. The property is lovely surrounding by lush plants and is nice and quiet at nighttime for a peaceful nights sleep. Paul and Katherine made lovely meals and we all ate together and had great conversations. They are such kind and welcoming hosts I would recommend them to any volunteer workers coming to the area! Thank you guys I really appreciated you hospitality :)

I had a really great time here! Tina and Paul took excellent care of me. I got to experience the local traditions of Japan (Kimono Festival, Miso Workshop, dining out, etc.) and also met wonderful locals in Ibaraki along with other volunteers! They also provide us volunteers with bikes. Wishing all the best for this project in the future! Thank you so much, Tina and Paul! I will definitely return in the future to see how the project progresses!

Marie and David very generously took me in for a last minute stay so that I could travel with my friend a bit longer before we parted ways. I am indebted to their hospitality. I helped with weeding/pruning, moving animals between paddocks with Marie, and log-splitting with Dave (possibly my favorite part! So much fun). Days were filled with stories about the area and their lives; while I could have done without the occasional racial/presumptive remarks in said stories, I am grateful to the many insights they offered us regarding places to visit in the Geraldine area and beyond. We walked up Hautekerekere/Little Mt Peel one of our mornings off, swam in the gorgeous river, and spent several days exploring Geraldine. I am now hooked on a having a regular morning tea (thanks Marie), and will miss her dinners. Overall, with generous hosts and people and much to explore in the area, would recommend! Thank you again!!

𝐀 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭, 𝐚 𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬! My 26-day journey (Feb 23 - Mar 20, 2026) has come to an end, and what a fascinating and emotionally fulfilling experience it has been! I stayed in a very peaceful area of Nonthaburi, far away from the noise and rush of Bangkok. I spent a lot of time walking around, admiring the simple rice fields that reminded me so much of my home in Vietnam. I even took a short 6km taxi ride to attend Sunday Mass at a local Catholic church three times during my stay. My daily tasks mostly took place in the afternoons, focusing on teaching English to my host, Napat. Napat is an incredibly kind, interesting, and hospitable guy. Honestly, he is extremely smart, and his actual academic qualifications are way beyond mine! He only has two main hurdles with his English. First, from primary school to university, he was taught to pronounce English using Thai transliteration. Even now, when he learns a new word, he still notes down the pronunciation in Thai script! Second, because he has such a highly logical mind, he tends to pause and process his thoughts deeply during real-time conversations, making it a bit difficult for him to reflect and convey his ideas instantly. I am writing this review with three main purposes: 1. To Napat and his brother: Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You guys took such great care of me—from providing delicious meals to ensuring I had a wonderful and comfortable place to sleep. My stay was absolutely flawless and heartwarming. 2. A personal message to Napat: My friend, please keep practicing your English listening skills continuously. Remember to learn full sentences instead of isolated words. Keep practicing your pronunciation by reading out loud to Google Translate, and try to use Duolingo more often. I know you hate using your phone for studying, but the desktop/computer version is just as great! Keep it up! 3. To future Workawayers: First, please be patient with Napat. Give him the time he needs to process and express his thoughts in English. If you have ever learned a second language, you will understand this struggle. Second, if you have any good methods for teaching pronunciation (like using IPA, word emphasis, and intonation), please share them and guide him! Lastly, about the location: This is a premium "village-style" residential area. It is exceptionally peaceful and perfect for "introverts" or those who are "mature enough" to appreciate tranquility and explore local markets on their own. To get to central Bangkok, you will need to take a taxi or a taxi combined with the MRT. However, if you are a remote worker like me, this place is absolute heaven. Fun fact: I actually managed to finish writing my own book during my stay here! 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁!
