I stayed for 2 months and it was honestly the best time ever. Tizia is such a lovely boss and human in general. It was so much fun working for her because it actually didn't feel like work at all. Her 3 children are literally the cutest kids I've ever met and are a real joy to be around. Matching their energy was an easy challenge as they are very infectious with their happiness. The Safari and other trips I was able to go on through the Villa have been experiences I hold very dear to my heart and will forever remember. I couldn't have wished for a better Host and the Villa itself is truly beautiful. A pool, gym, rooftop plus bar, movie and karaoke nights... literally a million rooms all very comfortable and pretty. The weekly classes you have got to participate in are so much fun and the people instructing them are such Queens and Kings. Rehema the dance teacher is lowkey the love of my life. But then there is also the staff that made me feel so happy and at home. Mama D and Sarah, just 2 of them, are also loves of my life. I couldn't be more grateful for everyone working at the villa, they really make it feel special so that you never want to leave. Still can't believe I did... Experiencing Arusha and Tanzania through living in the Villa has been a gift and I am definitely going to come back. 10/10 would definitely recommend (if you didn't get the hint already)

I stayed with Charlotte back in November to help collect the olives for olive oil. It was a wonderful weekend of olive picking, driving in the mountains, seeing the olive mill and the process of making olive oil. Charlotte was a great host - inviting, kind, communicative and engaging. The home is lovely and cosy, with everything you need. The views of the mountains are incredible, with the sea on the horizon and the bright stars at night. Charlotte shared her community with me as I met others who live close by. An unforgettable experience - thank you again Charlotte!

What a fantastic experience! I spent a weekend with Pablo and other workawayers nestled in his beautiful property in the mountains. If you are looking for a disconnect - this is it. I spent my time pruning and gardening in the sunshine, happily chatting to Pablo and the others. We worked well together and Pablo is communicative, kind and engaging. The accommodation was very nice and comfortable. There was free time to rest and explore the area - Pablo showed us a great walk and waterfall. The stars at night are incredible. Thank you again!

My very first workaway volunteering experience could not have been better. I was hosted by Ms Trang and her wonderful two boys for two fabulous weeks in January 2026. Right from the beginning, I was made feel at home. Ms Trang is a wonderful and generous host. Ms Trang could not have been more welcoming and went over and above in terms of making me feel comfortable and welcome in her home. The two boys are fantastic company and very intelligent, with very bright futures. I loved playing chess with Kit and the game with Kat that evolved and changed as the game went on due to his incredible imagination and creativity. My teaching time was with Kat, who has an incredible imagination and vocabulary. I loved my time staying with them. I will stay in touch with them and hopefully at some point in the future, can repay their generosity, kindness and friendship. From my initial contact with Ms Dung (organiser), she has been fantastic. She had a continuous stream of suggestions on places to visit. I loved playing with /teaching her wonderful child, Strawberry. She is a bundle of joy and energy, who is also exceptionally bright. The Viet Celts are my favorite Gaelic football club!!! After my workaway experience, I toured Vietnam. It is a wonderful country and the people are extra-ordinary. I love Vietnam. Thank you Ms Dung and Ms Trang for everything!!

Pavlo is physically strong and energetic, and took on demanding outdoor work with focus and commitment — most notably, the careful resetting of garden stepping stones, which required both precision and sustained effort over several days, and which he completed to a very good standard. He is disciplined about his physical fitness and attentive to his nutritional needs, particularly around protein intake, so hosts should be aware of this when planning meals together. He joined our morning yoga sessions daily and with full engagement. He responds well to clear, practical instruction on physical tasks, and would likely thrive in a project-based context — particularly one involving construction or outdoor work with an aesthetic dimension — where the scope of each task is well defined. As this was his first Workaway experience, hosts who have clear, detailed profiles and who can invest time in the initial orientation will get the best from him. With the right fit, he has a lot to contribute.

How to start ? ... We miss so much Florence, Thierry and amazing Briançon and its wonderful bouquetins 🐐🐐🐐 !!! We had such a lovely stay at their place speaking English and playing games at night 🌼🤗❤️ They are both full of generosity and knowledge : it has been a real pleasure to share our adventures and learn from both of them. Florence gave me such beautiful advices through her amazing work in art therapy 🩷 We even did a session for me together and it was GREAT 🌼 We also had the chance to present a little Christmas show at the Elderly Care house of Briançon to entertain the patients : it was such an honor to be invited there and contribute to give them a little moment of fun 🩷 What's more... the surroundings are just incredible : Alps all around, with many animals and tremendous nature to observ and discover. We will always remember our stay at Thierry and Florence's house. Thank you so much again ! Céline, Kodo, Esmée and Baby which enjoyed her stay too in the belly 🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️

This was an incredible opportunity for me to experience local culture, engage with the local community, and share my time and experiences with the locals. Dr. Todd and Veronica are excellent hosts. I had the opportunity to interact with the kids that attend. They are a blast, a real fun bunch of kids. Very inquisitive, innocent. I had the good fortune of attending two local festivities. The dorm itself was great. I was the only male volunteer at that time, so I had the whole room for myself. For the work itself, the tasks were not hard at all: 1. Feed the horse in the morning - I loved how she would come running as soon as I open the door in the morning, as she knows she is getting food 2. Feed the chickens and the ducks in the morning. 3. Then really nothing to do until 4pm except to plan what we will do with the kids that evening. 4. Around 4pm we would set up the place to receive the kids and engage with them. Usually starts with a game or something that warms the kids up. 5. We did scavenger hunt one day, a bunch of games you will see at a fair, played soccer, basketball etc. 6. One of the evenings, I shared how close Mexico and India are in terms of the culture, food, and festivals. 7. We went on a hike to the nearby hill Two things that I did probably others wont do: 1. Help find and set up an accessible app for a kid that had communication difficulties 2. Help with the fundraising page. I also cooked Indian food for the volunteers and Dr. Todd and Veronica. We had a great time during the dinner talking about many different topics It is a great place to ground yourself and immerse a bit into the local Guanajuato culture.

Lovely experience with Carolina, Jhon, Mariana, Matías, and the pets!! Thank you to this beautiful family for sharing their home and meals and memories with me. I did not feel like I was working, but just that I was spending time with the kids and getting to know the family. Lots of love!!!

Mateus stayed with us for a week in February and worked on our project. He made an excellent team with fellow Workawayer Kostas. Despite the winter cold, he cleared the wooded slope of invasive bamboo, a difficult and dangerous task. But with practical insight and a sense of efficiency, he proactively removed and processed a huge amount of meters-long bamboo. He also pruned the persimmon and kiwi trees as if he were an experienced gardener. Mateus proved to be a modest, yet very engaged and pleasant guest. It was wonderful to see how he approaches the world and his future with a calm, thoughtful, yet open perspective. We also appreciated how genuinely interested he was in interacting with the local volunteers. After this week, we felt 'richer,' not only because of his engagement and his contribution to the food forest but also through the exchange of ideas.

Wonderful humans! They made me feel at home from day one. Authentically kind, welcoming, and easygoing ~ it was a pleasure helping them wherever I could (painting, tiling for the home renovation). They really went out of their way to make sure I had an enriching experience, inviting me to join on any driving trips and I even had the pleasure of spending the weekend with Fred’s mother in Argentat, who was incredibly kind and hospitable, showing me around everywhere! The region is beautiful and each town is so architecturally diverse. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Thank you guys for letting me experience your world for a little while, it’s a pretty cool one :-) With warmth and gratitute, All the best, 🌷 Shea

I spent last summer with Lee and Gayle in Madeira Park on the Sunshine Coast, and it was a really special experience. From the beginning, I felt welcomed and comfortable in their home. Communication was open and easy, and every task was discussed and agreed on beforehand, which I really appreciated. I always felt that my voice and ideas were taken into account. My work mainly involved property maintenance, helping with small repairs, landscaping and gardening, and cleaning the cabins. The tasks were varied and fair, and I genuinely enjoyed being part of the daily rhythm of the place. I never felt like I was just there to help, but truly part of the household. What I appreciated most was the sense of community. I was there while they were preparing for a big gala event, and being involved in that process made me feel even more connected to the local community. It was special to see how much care and effort goes into creating something like that. Madeira Park is a beautiful place, but what made it stand out for me was the warmth of the people and the lifestyle they’ve built there. Lee shared his love for the outdoors with me, and we did many beautiful hikes around the area. Exploring the Sunshine Coast that way made my stay even more meaningful. Gayle’s meals were amazing, and I felt very well cared for the entire time. I learned a lot during my stay, both practical skills and personal lessons about the kind of environment and way of living I value. I am very grateful for the summer I spent with them and their family and would definitely recommend staying with Lee and Gayle to anyone looking for a welcoming home in a beautiful setting. And of course, a big thank you to Cyrus and Eve, the best protectors ever. :)

We loved having Jordan at our place, he's a very committed young man with many talents and a keen interest in learning new abilities, despite not belonging strictly to his field. During his stay he was always incredibly interested in Italian culture and way of life as well as farm techniques and practices. He's incredibly mature for his age and has lots of knowledge so that's really a pleasure to spend time with him. We can only wish him the best!
