Description
Hello, we are a family of four. Father (John) is a physical education teacher, and mother (Carolina) is a math teacher. Our oldest daughter (Mariana) is 12 years old, and our youngest son (Matías) is 9; they are intelligent, loving, and cheerful children. We work and study during the morning. We live in a beautiful house with a wonderful view, in a rural area of the municipality of Cáqueza (Colombia), very close to Bogotá D.C., in a temperate climate (16°C - 22°C). We love animals and have two German shepherd dogs and one cat. We love to cook and dance. We are kind and hospitable people who want to learn other languages so we can travel the world, learn about other cultures, and make new friends. We would also love to start practicing yoga, Pilates, or similar practices to improve our physical and mental health.
We invite you to visit us, share, learn together, maybe help us with our garden, and above all to be part of our family, for a minimum period of two weeks.
Hola, somos una familia de cuatro. El padre (John) es profesor de educación física y la madre (Carolina) es profesora de matemáticas. Nuestra hija mayor (Mariana) tiene 12 años y nuestro hijo menor (Matías) 9; son niños inteligentes, cariñosos y alegres. Trabajamos y estudiamos por las mañanas. Vivimos en una hermosa casa con una vista maravillosa, en una zona rural del municipio de Cáqueza (Colombia), muy cerca de Bogotá D.C., en un clima templado (16 °C - 22 °C). Amamos a los animales y tenemos dos pastores alemanes y un gato. Nos encanta cocinar y bailar. Somos personas amables y hospitalarias con ganas de aprender otros idiomas para poder viajar por el mundo, conocer otras culturas y hacer nuevos amigos. También nos encantaría empezar a practicar yoga, pilates o prácticas similares para mejorar nuestra salud física y mental.
Te invitamos a visitarnos, compartir, aprender juntos, quizás ayudarnos con nuestro huerto, y sobre todo a ser parte de nuestra familia, por un periodo mínimo de dos semanas.

We want to invite you to spend a little time with us in our house. We don't care about your gender and neither do you know if you speak Spanish, because here you can learn it with us, as well as get to know our culture and gastronomy. It is important that you are a patient person to teach us the language and that you like to share and play with children, help in the garden or in other activities around the house. In addition to lodging, we offer you complete food and the possibility of sharing in a healthy, calm and relaxing environment.
Queremos invitarte a pasar con nosotros una pequeña temporada en nuestra casa. No nos importa tu género y tampoco si dominas el idioma español pues aquí podrás aprenderlo con nosotros, además de conocer nuestra cultura y gastronomía. Es importante que seas una persona paciente para enseñarnos el idioma y que te guste compartir y jugar con niños, ayudar en el jardín o en otras actividades de la casa. Te ofrecemos además del hospedaje, la alimentación completa y la posibilidad de compartir en un ambiente sano, tranquilo y relajante.

Our main objective is to learn languages, so basically we are interested in a person who lives with us and teaches us their language (English mainly) and who shares the afternoons with us and our children playing, cooking or doing activities that allow us to interact and learn the language, as well as teach ours. You can also help us with the garden or the kitchen or maybe art activities
Nuestro objetivo principal es aprender idiomas, así que básicamente nos interesa una persona que conviva con nosotros y nos enseñe su idioma (Inglés principalmente ) y que comparta las tardes con nosotros y nuestros niños jugando, cocinando o realizando actividades que nos permita interactuar y aprender el idioma, así como enseñar el nuestro. También nos puedes ayudar con el jardín o la cocina o actividades de arte.

Estamos aprendiendo inglés porque dominar este idioma nos facilita viajar a muchos otros países. Actualmente, nuestra hija tiene un especial interés por Corea, su cultura y su idioma, así que se encuentra aprendiendo por su cuenta, por lo cual nos gustaría que pudiera practicarlo.

In your free time you can go for walks in the countryside, practice mountain biking, travel to see the capital of Colombia, which is only 35 kilometers away; from there you can also easily move to areas surrounding the capital or travel to see other regions of the country. We are also close to the Eastern Plains of Colombia, just 60 km away, where you can enjoy all the llanera culture, its wonderful landscapes and its delicious gastronomy.
