Hakan has been one of the most influential people I have met during my travels. Staying with him was an incredible experience and a real source of inspiration. Even though I didn’t get to visit the hotel itself, he still welcomed me and made sure I could experience life around Istanbul and get a real sense of Turkish culture and everyday life. It felt like being guided through the city by someone who truly knows it from the inside. He was like a tourist guide, a helper, and more. He always took time to answer questions and share little stories from his life, which made every conversation meaningful and enjoyable. He is genuinely a very positive and warm person, a real sunshine to be around. I am very grateful for this experience and for the time I spent there.

Staying with Mustafa and Melis has genuinely been nothing but a dream. I could not have wished for more than experiencing the warmth of such a loving home and seeing the backstage of how to raise such smart, responsible, and ambitious kids. With them, I got to taste delicious Turkish food, experience Turkish family culture in such a genuine way, attend the kids’ school events, watch their trainings, and truly feel included in every part of the home. Despite some communication difficulties at times, they were always very understanding, and life with them felt genuinely comfortable and peaceful. Melis is truly a super mom. Despite all the responsibilities she carries, she is always smiling, caring, and happy to help. Mustafa always made sure I felt understood and included, and he constantly brought warmth and joy into the family. Kuzey and Kenan Pars are some of the cutest, smartest, most polite, and ambitious kids I have ever met. I genuinely believe they have a very bright future ahead of them. I only stayed for 10 days, but I truly felt like a family member. I miss you all so much and I love you so much ❤️

I spent around one month volunteering here, and it was honestly such a beautiful first volunteering experience. The place has a really special atmosphere — peaceful, full of good energy, and surrounded by nature and beautiful views. What made the experience unforgettable for me was the people. Every day brought new conversations, shared moments, and the chance to meet amazing people from different backgrounds. It quickly started to feel more like a family than just a volunteering place. Amine is a wonderful host who makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable from day one. A huge shout out as well to the amazing staff — Rami, Sameh, Soufian, and Layla — for all the good vibes, kindness, and memorable moments they brought to the experience. And of course, Paco deserves a special mention too for being the cutest companion around. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a meaningful Workaway experience in Tunisia filled with connection, learning, and unforgettable memories.

Gabriel was an excellent Workawayer. I would recommend him to anybody. He took excellent care of my dogs walking them on the beach twice a day, did whatever task I asked him to do around the house, was a good cook and great company. I wish him well on his future work aways and travels

Una chica muy agradable y positiva

Première expérience Workaway et super séjour passé chez Rich. Mes tâches quotidiennes étaient agréables et stimulantes : les longues promenades avec Mary et Rio sur la plage matin et soir, l'arrosage des plantes matin et soir en guise de méditation 😆, et le ménage quotidien qui restait simple et rapide ! Rich est aimable, généreux et compréhensible, il a su me laisse beaucoup de temps libre pour profiter de son petit coin de paradis au maximum : baignades dans l'océan et la piscine, footing sur la plage, paddle dans le Rio et excursion en bateau pour aller faire les courses ! Ce fut quelques jours très agréables et reposant en pleine nature. Je le recommande fortement ! Merci et à la prochaine Rich !🙂

Franziska and Nemo stayed with us for one week and it was a real pleasure to host them. They were both very friendly, motivated, respectful, and always willing to help with the work on the farm. They adapted quickly to daily life here, worked seriously, and always kept a positive attitude. They also knew how to be discreet and independent when needed, while still enjoying good moments together and sharing a nice beer after work. We highly recommend Franziska and Nemo to any future hosts — they are trustworthy, easygoing, and genuinely kind people. We would be happy to welcome them again anytime!

Beatrice and Carlos are amazing people! I was very well received, it was as if we had known each other for a long time, we had good conversations, and I really enjoyed the time I was able to spend in Bellinzona. Zoey is also lovely. I wish I could help more, but sometimes I was very busy with my work activities, and they understood and supported me. I hope to be able to return in the future, I will practice Brazilian cuisine so we can share knowledge! Grazie Bea!

Telma welcomed me very warmly, I had a wonderful time in Mantua. The place is excellent, with great people around, and it was enriching to be able to spend time with the locals.

The two weeks I spent with Lane and his animals at his farm were full of good times, great food cooked by him, amazing views and overall scenery and the animals that elevate the day. The work is fair and enriching and when not working there’s plenty of time to go for hikes or simply rest and enjoy time away from the city.

Oksana è una ragazza molto gentile e dolce che ama i tramonti, specialmente quelli sul mare della Sicilia... Nel tempo che è stata con noi non si è mai tirata indietro, svolgendo con passione ogni compito le venisse assegnato. Hai tenuto compagnia con la tua giovialità e allegria. Grazie.

Quel plaisir d'accueillir Camille et Pierre chez nous. Ils ont été très vite à l'aise, sympathiques et aidant. Ils nous aidaient pour les petits travaux qu'on leur avait réservé (jardinage, peinture) mais aussi pour toutes les tâches du quotidien (repas, vaisselle). Nous avons adoré les avoir à la maison. Ils ont aussi été adorables avec notre bébé de 1 an. Bref, que du bon ! Nous serons heureux de vous recroiser à l'occasion. Bon voyage !

Gabriella ha svolto bene i suoi compiti specie quelli di giardinaggio occupandosi anche del taglio di una siepe e dell'erba. Ho apprezzato molto che e' sempre venuta ad allenarsi in palestra con me e si è sempre impegnata molto. Ha preparato anche un ottimo dolce e ha saputo anche cucinare bene anche se di solito ho sempre cucinato io in quanto mi piace. Ottimo anche il il rapporto con i miei animali. E' senza dubbio una ragazza molto energica e anche simpatica.

​Para mim, a parte mais importante de um voluntariado — especialmente sendo este o meu primeiro — é a recepção e o acolhimento. E foi exatamente isso que os anfitriões Samara e Emanuel me proporcionaram desde o primeiro contato. Ao me aceitarem no grupo, permitiram que eu aprendesse lições valiosas que levarei não apenas para os próximos voluntariados, mas para a vida toda. O período de convívio com todos — hóspedes, funcionários, outros voluntários e até mesmo pessoas de breve passagem — contribuiu imensamente para minha evolução e maturidade como ser humano. ​Um jovem casal de voluntários me ensinou sobre a brevidade: mesmo em um curto período, podemos deixar boas lembranças. Mostraram-me que a vantagem de sermos humanos, e não árvores, é não precisarmos criar raízes em um só lugar, tendo a liberdade de ir para onde quisermos, a qualquer momento. As meninas me ensinaram que a amizade e o companheirismo nos ajudam a seguir em frente, mesmo quando a jornada é difícil devido à bagagem que cada um carrega. Os hóspedes me trouxeram uma perspectiva interessante: a primeira impressão é a que determina todo o resto, pois estamos todos de breve passagem. ​Um jovem funcionário me lembrou que a família sempre vem em primeiro lugar. Outro me mostrou, pelo exemplo, que limpeza e organização são fundamentais para a boa convivência na sociedade e nos trazem uma reflexão profunda: "o mundo exterior é reflexo do nosso mundo interior". Portanto, nunca devemos transferir nossas responsabilidades para o próximo. Esse é o real poder da autorresponsabilidade. Um outro casal, trabalhando em digna parceria, me provou que duas pessoas unidas e em harmonia podem ir muito mais longe, independentemente de onde estejam. ​A fauna e flora abundantes do lugar, especialmente os animais residentes, nos ajudam a conectar com o nosso eu interior. É, literalmente, voltar às origens com mais propósito e conexão com a nossa missão de vida. Toda essa experiência me fez concluir que, independentemente da "viagem" de vida que cada um segue, sempre podemos escolher quais "mochilas" carregar. Temos essencialmente duas: uma pesada, cheia de pedras, e outra apenas com itens essenciais (sabedoria, maturidade, experiência, paz, amor, harmonia, conhecimento). E se for inevitável levar as duas, podemos, pelo caminho, retirar as pedras de uma delas e empilhá-las, como fazem os romeiros nas estradas, deixando o peso para trás e seguindo cada vez mais leves e livres. ​Embora eu quisesse muito continuar — pois sabia que ainda havia muito a aprender e compreender —, acabei adoecendo e precisei voltar ao ponto de partida. Mas até mesmo essa interrupção me ensinou algo muito valioso sobre limites e sobre o tempo que temos aqui nesta vida. ​Parti com a tranquilidade e a certeza de ter deixado contribuições valiosas, não apenas pelo trabalho que realizei com dedicação, foco e disciplina, mas principalmente pela rica troca de experiências de vida com cada um de vocês. Agradeço a todos por esses ensinamentos, que são muito mais valiosos do que qualquer ouro ou prata escolhida.
