1.I need one or two workawayers to come and help me from any time now ( 23 April) until around mid May with cleaning, garden work and light renovation work ( no experience needed!) It will be around 3 to 4 hours work per day. A self help breakfast and tea/coffee throughout the day is included.

    2. Then I need a family or couple or single person to come and house/ pet sit from mid May for at least 3 months. I will not be here during that time as I have to leave due to visa requirements. My house is in a peaceful village in Bulgaria. I have dogs and a bunny that needs pet sitting during those months.

They are easy and it involved feeding them, playing with them and taking to dogs for walks a few times a week. The garden will need lawn mowing once a month at least and I do have a small vegetable garden that the workawayers can use or plant whatever they like.
I need responsible people who will take good care of my animals and will have to freedom of living in my house in a very beautiful and peaceful village, with internet and electricity included, no meals as the work is maximum 3 hours a day.

We are a Canadian/South Africans with a big village house in Bulgaria .The house has very good reliable internet.

The house is in a very interesting and lovely rural town. We have a big yard with fruit trees, and we are constantly busy with some renovation projects. Light renovation projects that does not require experience exist at this time.

The house is not luxurious as it is a country house but livable and you get your own private bedroom
    .
We have very reliable 5G internet. So this is ideal for some one who are working or studying online and wants to spend three months in a quite interesting village in Bulgaria.

The kitchen is well equipped. There is lots of space where a volunteer can sit and work, study or just chill. The house has space for up to 3 volunteers at a time.

Groceries and fresh products like milk, bread, cheese, veggies are all available in the village at the local grocery stores. We can cook together and I sometimes bake bread or make home made pizza.

There is a coffee shop and a restaurant that serves local food about 1km from the house.
There is a park very close to our house where there is an outdoor gymnasium! A river it also not far from our house where locals fish or go for picnics.

Public transport is available daily to and from Sofia and the city of Vratsa from the village.

We are 1 hour drive from the closest city of Vratsa by bus, and around 3 hours from Sofia also by bus. Public transport is very affordable.
There are young people in the town that can speak English and some can speak Spanish. There is a nice coffee shop that also sells toasted sandwiches and a restaurant that sells local food for breakfast and lunch.

Volunteers will get their own bedroom, use of the large kitchen, the bathroom and a porch with chairs and a dining table where you can have your meals if you prefer to eat outside, but there is also a dining table and chairs inside the kitchen.

As we are still renovating, we must note that the house is not luxurious at all but a country house in a village It is comfortable and does have a toilet and warm water shower that is in the annex, attached to the house via the porch, so not inside the house. The balcony upstairs is comfy; where you can drink coffee and listen to the birds singing or just sit and chill.

Electricity, heating and internet is included in the stay.

A self help breakfast is also included for the 2 to 3 week stay in April/May but not for the 3 months stay from mid May as the work is less than 3 hours per day.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Helpers who come in April/May for 2 to 3 weeks have to help at the most 3 to 4 hours of help a day, basically to help me to spring clean in and around the house, some basic renovation work and gardening.

Helpers who come in May for 3 months will have to take care of my pets ( 5 dogs and a bunny). Feeding them, playing with them and take them for walks. I also have a few light renovation projects like painting a few inside doors and ceilings, no experience needed! This is not compulsory, pet sitting is the most important part.

In their free time helpers can can go for walks to the river and visit the towns and city nearby with public transport. Once I arrive I will need help with some basic renovation projects that do not require experience.

Our village has a coffee shop, two grocery stores, three small restaurants that does have some good affordable eat in or take away meals.

If you want to live in a very peaceful rural Bulgarian village and love animals this might be for you!
