    Description

    Kia ora!

My husband and I have settled in Havelock North, Hawkes Bay after travelling overseas for two years, enjoying the European summer and the Canadian winters, living the "ski bum" lifestyle!

We have been so lucky to host on Workaway, make great friends, and make awesome progress on the house.

We have recently bought a 7 bedroom house which we have done up and are now working on the landscape. We have a 3 year old boy, Louie, and an 18month old boy, Lachie, who keeps us busy, so we would love the extra hands to help us finish our project and potentially help with the kiddies or looking after our dog when we are away.

We are looking for someone to help with odd jobs around the house but particularly our garden. We would like help for for 4 hours a day in exhange for rent and food. You can choose how you help those hours. If you wanted to do 2 or 3 long days so you could have the rest of the week off to travel around, that would be fine with us!
You will live with us in our home in Havelock North a 10-minute walk to the village. We have bikes, so you can explore the town further. We will provide food during your stay. I am happy to cook every night during the week or leave food for you in your own time if you would rather. You will have your own 2bedroom wing of the house with your own lounge and tv.

We have two queen-bedroom rooms available with Wi-Fi.

Luke and I are a young couple who love keeping busy with fun events and are keen on the outdoors. We would love to take you on adventures to explore the beautiful Hawkes Bay or see some of our lovely vineyards here.

I had trouble loading photos but will have another go. Need to change file sizes.

    Thanks
    Laura & Luke

Travellers will benefit/enjoy the 'Kiwi' lifestyle experience on the East Coast of New Zealand. They will have opportunities to experience what we enjoy in the Hawkes Bay by taking them on adventures in the weekends (if they are keen). Travellers will learn the skills required to renovate and landscape.

There is plenty to see in Hawkes Bay. Napier is a good hub to travel to other places around the North Island and even the top of the South Island. We would be happy to show you local sights during the week and take you to our holiday house where we can take you fishing and experience farm life if that was what you'd be interested in. We have a lot of family spread around New Zealand to help with your stay when travelling in our beautiful country.
