    Description

    Hi everybody :))

I m Yvonne, a 57 year old German who lives on her own in a lovely Finca in Catalunya. 5 minutes from the next village with an outstanding bakery and Indian food. 10 Minutes from the historic Renaissance City of Tortosa by the river Ebre, surrounded by mountains. Half an hour drive from the sea.
I have a proper garden, small pool and of course many olive trees which I harvest. 17000 sqm in total.
Naturally, I cannot be without animal companions! My 2 cats, Mia and Bonita and 2 dogs,
Leo ( Cockerpoo ) and big Leila ( Kangalmix). Leo is very old though and can be a bit grumpy at times… but in general, they are all very loving and cuddly.
    A joy to be with!
If you love nature, animals and freedom, a bit of culture and a lot of sun, then my place is right for you!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Tortosa has a cathedral, a castle and an old town that transports you back into medieval times.
Romans, Arabs, Jewish and Christians left their footprint here…
In April, Easter is a very important celebration in Tortosa, with crowded processions such as the Passion, or the procession of Silence, which takes place at midnight.
Linked to these days, you can also enjoy the Abadejo Gastronomic Days.
The English Festival is also held in April with activities open to everyone where only English can be spoken.

    Help

Caring for my animals while I am away is the most important. Feeding and going for walks of course. Leo is happy to just run around on my plot because of his age, but Leila will need at least one walk a day for 1-1 1/2 hrs. She would also enjoy ball games in the garden. I also feed wild cats on my plot.
If it is hot, you might have to do some watering.
When I am there, I would appreciate help in the garden and also a bit around the house as I have problems with my back.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You will have a clean, bright room with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. Attached to that is also a small kitchen with a sink and fridge, albeit no cooker.
May be I have a little one by then or a grill…
I mostly eat fruit n veg and don’t really like cooking but together it might be more fun!
There is also an extra entrance you can use, so you don‘t have to walk through my living area.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

I am a very spiritual woman, Reiki master and try to enjoy the moment. I would love to take you and the dogs to the beach and have fun!
I get up very early, but that does not mean that you have to rise at 6/7 o clock.
I just love long, quiet mornings and have several breakfasts. However, if I m not there, animals will expect to be fed around 8 o clock.
Tortosa has a train station and buses run from there to Barcelona hourly for only €5 return. The bus ride takes 2 hrs though.

    Profile photo of Mia

    Mia (2 years)

She is a wild cat who slowly but surely made her way into my house. Now she lives permanently on the settee!

    Profile photo of Bonita

    Bonita (2 years)

Bonita chose me when I went to the shelter to adopt a cat. She comes running when I call her and she is just adorable. Very loving.

    Profile photo of Leila

    Leila (10 months)

I got her as a puppy. She is a rescue.
A Kangalmix, large dog, but very friendly and loving.
She protects the house. She loves lots of cuddles and tummy rubs!

    Profile photo of Leo

    Leo (14 years)

Leo is very old, 14 1/2 years old.
He is a beautiful, chocolate brown Cockerpoo.
He moved from the UK to Spain with me.
He likes to be the boss of the house and is a bit moody at times. Just an old man…
