Description
We take that good people always find a way to meet as an universal rule...
Looking for help with taking care of the yard and small house tasks
Mai and June
and from mid-august-to mid-october
ideal stay is 2-3 weeks).
We are looking for one or two people that are outgoing, have a positive energy, and are outdoor enthousiasts (hiking, cycling, camping). We offer a cultural exchange in a family.
We are a busy-smiling french canadian family with too much projects. Our tribe (3 boys and two parents):
-Théo: 13 years old (love drawing, nature, building small wood structure and making drama)
-Éloi: 15 years old (love taking photos, playing piano, building crazy things with lego and skiing)
-Manu: 17 years old (love to jump in ski and mountain biking) he now leave on his own for college
-Stéphanie: 46 years old, teaching at university, love to travel, mountain hike, mushroom picking, upcycling things, building trails
-Charles: 49 years old, electric engineer, own a oceonagraphic company, like to bbq, hunt, and hike.
We all speak french (native) and english, except for Théo who speaks french and a bit of english. If you don't speak french it's not a problem.... lucky you, you won't understand the teenagers arguing (they do a lot!). You don't have to nanny the teenagers they can take care of themselves, but you definitively need to understand the dynamic of leaving with a young tribe.
We live in the village of Bic, Rimouski (we live 4 km away from the village) in a big modern house, the house has a lot of space and cooking equipments with good wifi
We are an open minded family that likes to work, meet people and of course eat good food along with a glass of wine:) Both of us travelled a lot and we believe that we all can always learn from each other.
If you feel you can be a good fit write to us, we will arrange a Whatsapp Call to chat, so you can ask us questions, and us too.

We stayed for almost 3 weeks. We enjoyed the work and it was very varied so we never got bored.
We loved spending time with the family. The boys are your typical teenage brothers but are polite, well mannered and funny. As Stéphanie said, if you don't speak French you can't… read more

We stayed with Stéphanie's family for a month. Me and my brother (with whom I shared this experience) didn't really have any idea of what we could expect, but I think that, from now on, we will mostly travel using WorkAway.
