Description
As long time travellers we believe traveling is not about the places you visit but about the people you meet along the way!
We take that good people always find a way to meet as an universal rule...
We are looking for help with family life and outdoors taks (ideal stay is 2-3 weeks). We are looking for one or two people that really enjoy nature, wildlife and being outdoor (for a good fit with our family) and with the task.
We are a busy (sometimes noisy/chaotic) and funny french canadian family with too much projects. Our tribe (3 boys and two parents):
-Manu: 17 years old (love to jump in ski and mountain biking).
-Éloi: 14 years old (love taking photos, playing piano, building crazy things and obsess with fishing)
-Théo: 12 years old (love drawing, nature, building small wood structure and making drama)
-Stéphanie: 45 years old, teaching at university, love to travel, mountain hike, mushroom picking, upcycling things, building trails
-Charles: 49 years old, electric engineer, own a oceonagraphic company, like to bbq, hunt, and hike.
We all speak french (native) and english, except for Théo who speaks french and a bit of english. If you don't speak french it's not a problem.... lucky you, you won't understand kids arguing/ fighting (they do a lot!).
We live in the village of Bic, Rimouski (we live 4 km away from the village) in a big modern house, the house has a lot of space and cooking equipments with good wifi
We are an open minded family that likes to work, meet people and of course eat good food along with a glass of wine:) Both of us travelled a lot and we believe that we all can always learn from each other.Types of help and learning opportunities

We could teach you a bite of french if you want. We can have conversation in english so you can practise english (if french and english isn't your first language)Accommodation
You will have a little cabin in the garden (two twin beds) (pictures in the album), and share bathroom with the teens .
You share the rest of the house with the family and hope you will feel at home :)
We provide the meals and food for your work days. Breakfast and lunch is self-served (we will make sure you find something appropriated for you). We love good coffee!
Dinner will be together around 6-7 pm. We will cook the meals and do the cleaning together (we can do turn or do it together). Unless you take in charge the cooking chores this is'nt in your working time.
If we go at our off grid cabin during your stay you can sleep there. It's a very wild experience. What else ...
Our home is 4 km away from the village, when it's possible you could use the electric car. The region is fantastic for : National parks, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, skating, etc.)

We stayed for almost 3 weeks. We enjoyed the work and it was very varied so we never got bored.
We loved spending time with the family. The boys are your typical teenage brothers but are polite, well mannered and funny. As Stéphanie said, if you don't speak French you can't… read more

We stayed with Stéphanie's family for a month. Me and my brother (with whom I shared this experience) didn't really have any idea of what we could expect, but I think that, from now on, we will mostly travel using WorkAway.
Stéphanie immediately made us feel like home, she even came to the train station… read more
