    Description

Hello! My name is Hamdani, an English tutor and community builder from Cianjur, West Java. I currently teach basic English online for beginners and I am now preparing to open an offline English class for local people near my home.

To make this project grow, I host Workawayers who want to experience Indonesian life while helping me develop this learning community. You’ll be part of a friendly and meaningful language and culture exchange. Volunteers can also help me promote both my online and offline English classes and share creative ideas for building the offline program.

    What You’ll Do

You don’t need to be a professional teacher — just be creative, open-minded, and willing to share ideas.
Here are some ways you can help:

Assist in casual English sessions with local learners (kids or adults)

Help promote my online and upcoming offline English classes

Give suggestions or creative input for setting up the offline classroom

Create simple educational or promotional content about English learning

Take photos or short videos for educational purposes (used for learning promotion, not commercial ads)

Share your own language or culture with local people

If you speak Mandarin, you’re very welcome to share your knowledge with me, as I’m currently learning Mandarin

    About the Place

You’ll stay in my home located in a calm area between the town and the countryside — not far from the city center, yet quiet and easy to reach. The neighborhood is friendly and safe.
You’ll have your own room or shared one (depending on availability), and we’ll share simple local meals together.
You’ll experience authentic Indonesian daily life — cooking, talking, and learning Bahasa Indonesia while helping locals learn English.

    What We Offer

Real community connection (not a business or paid job)

    English–Bahasa cultural and language exchange

Opportunity to share skills and ideas for education and promotion

Free time to explore local life and nearby nature around Cianjur

    Important Note

This is a volunteer and cultural exchange program, not a formal job.
No money is given or received for teaching — it’s a friendship-based exchange for learning and cultural sharing.
