Description
This is a small, recently opened hotel in Cappadocia. We are still developing the property and improving different parts of the hotel, so it is a growing project rather than a large, fully established business.
At the moment, I manage most of the daily operations myself, including welcoming guests, handling reservations, organising the rooms and working on the hotel’s online presence. From time to time, we may also work with local cleaners, maintenance workers or other people from the area when their help is needed.
What I love most about this place is its peaceful atmosphere and its location. Cappadocia is surrounded by beautiful valleys, unusual rock formations, historic villages and hiking routes. There are many places to explore, especially for people who enjoy nature, photography, history and spending time outdoors.
Life at the hotel is usually relaxed, especially during quieter periods. Workawayers will have plenty of free time to explore the area, hike through the valleys and experience local life. I am also happy to share recommendations, show volunteers around when possible and help them discover places that tourists may not always know about.
We are looking for friendly, responsible and independent people who would enjoy being part of a small hospitality project. Depending on the volunteer’s skills and the hotel’s needs, help may include reception, guest communication, basic organisation, social media, photography, video creation or other creative projects.
Because the hotel is still growing, the experience may change depending on the season and how busy we are. We want to be transparent about this and create a comfortable, respectful and flexible environment for everyone who stays with us. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
The cultural exchange at the House is based on sharing everyday life, experiences and ideas rather than being part of a large team or organised community programme.
I am happy to introduce volunteers to Cappadocia, recommend hiking routes, local villages, viewpoints, cafés and places that are less known to tourists. When time allows, we may explore nearby valleys together, have meals or coffee, and spend time talking about life, travel, culture and our different backgrounds.
Volunteers can learn about daily life in Türkiye, Turkish hospitality, local customs and what it is like to manage a small hotel in one of the country’s most unique regions. I can also share my experience with guest communication, online booking platforms, basic hotel operations, web development and digital projects.
At the same time, I enjoy meeting people from different countries and hearing about their cultures, experiences and ways of living. I hope to improve my knowledge of other cultures, exchange languages and learn new ideas that may also help us improve the hotel.
The atmosphere is usually relaxed and informal. Cappadocia can be quiet, especially outside the busiest periods, so this experience is best suited to independent people who enjoy nature, meaningful conversations and having time to explore on their own. -
Help
We are looking for Workawayers who can help with the day to day and development of our small hotel. The exact tasks may vary depending on the season, the number of guests and each volunteer’s skills and interests.
The main areas where we may need help include welcoming guests, helping with check-ins and check-outs, answering simple guest questions, keeping an eye on reservations and making sure everything is organised when I am not available. There may also be some light practical tasks around the hotel, such as checking that shared areas are tidy, preparing basic information for arriving guests or helping with small organisational jobs.
We would also love to host creative people who can support us with social media, photography, short videos, writing blog content or improving the hotel’s online presence. Cappadocia offers many beautiful locations for creating content, and we are open to hearing your ideas and working on creative projects together.
I currently handle most parts of the hotel myself, so during the first few days we will work together and I will show you how everything works. After that, some tasks can be completed independently, especially when helping with reception or looking after the hotel when I'm out and about.
The workload is usually relaxed, particularly during quieter periods, but hospitality can sometimes be unpredictable. We appreciate people who are responsible, flexible, comfortable communicating with guests and able to take initiative when needed.
We are also happy to share what we know about running a small hotel, guest communication, online booking platforms and hospitality in Cappadocia. At the same time, we would love to learn from the skills, experiences and ideas that each Workawayer brings. -

Accommodation
Workawayers will stay in a shared dorm room located inside the hotel. The room is clean, secure and equipped with beds, bedding and storage space for personal belongings.
Bathroom facilities are shared, and Workawayers will also have access to the hotel’s kitchen. We provide groceries and basic ingredients for volunteers, and they can use the kitchen freely to prepare their own meals. We do not provide prepared meals, so volunteers should be comfortable cooking for themselves.
The accommodation is part of the hotel, so Workawayers will be close to the areas where they help and can easily communicate with me when needed. We ask everyone to keep the dorm room, kitchen and shared areas clean and respectful for the other people staying there.
We also encourage sharing meals together whenever possible, as we believe cooking and eating together can be a great part of the cultural exchange. -
What else ...
During your free time, you can explore Cappadocia’s valleys, hiking trails, viewpoints, historical sites and nearby towns. The area is especially suitable for people who enjoy nature, photography, walking and discovering quiet places. I will be happy to recommend routes and places to visit, and when I am available, we may also explore some places together.
Local minibuses and taxis are available for getting around, although public transport can be limited depending on the destination and time of day. Many nearby places can also be reached on foot.
The hotel atmosphere is generally peaceful and relaxed. We ask Workawayers to respect guests, keep noise to a minimum during late hours and maintain the dorm room, kitchen and shared spaces in a clean and organised condition.
Because this is a working hotel, plans and tasks may occasionally change depending on reservations and guest needs. Clear communication, flexibility and respect for everyone’s personal space are important to us. Workawayers should also be comfortable spending some of their free time independently, as there may not always be organised social activities or a large team at the property. -

Can host digital nomads
Digital nomads are welcome, and the generally quiet atmosphere can be suitable for remote work. Helping hours can be discussed in advance so that you can organise your own work around them. Please bring your own laptop and any equipment you need, as we do not provide devices or a dedicated office space. Because this is a hotel, the schedule may occasionally need to change depending on guest arrivals, departures or other unexpected situations. We therefore appreciate some flexibility and clear communication.

Can possibly accept pets
If you are travelling with a pet, please contact us before applying. Whether we can accept pets will depend on the type of animal, its behaviour and the accommodation situation during your dates.
