Description
CURRENT PRIORITY — OCTOBER 2026
We are currently looking for volunteers to help us during our October yoga retreat and Yoka training. We especially need help with healthy cooking/kitchen support, preparing guest houses, the yoga shala and garden care. Couples and volunteers who can stay longer are very welcome.
We are a small, peaceful yoga retreat center surrounded by nature, close to Kazıklı Bay, Akbük and the Aegean Sea. Our center is dedicated to yoga retreats, workshops and trainings rather than regular tourism, so life here changes with the rhythm of our programs.
During retreat periods, the center becomes a lively little community of students, teachers, staff and volunteers. Between programs, it becomes very peaceful and quiet.
During this period, we especially need friendly, responsible and practical people who enjoy helping as part of a team.
Help may include:
Kitchen & communal area
– washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean
– helping with food preparation
– preparing the dining area
– preparing tea and coffee
– general help during meal times
Yoga shala
– keeping the yoga space clean and beautiful
– cleaning and organising yoga equipment
– preparing mats and equipment before classes
– helping us reset the space after sessions
Garden & outdoor areas
– watering the garden
– weeding and general garden care
– trimming and shaping plants
– helping us keep the outdoor areas clean and welcoming
Preparing our wooden guest houses
– cleaning and preparing the houses before guests arrive
– helping with simple organisation and upkeep around the retreat center
Someone who enjoys preparing healthy food would be especially welcome! If you have experience with vegetarian, Mediterranean or healthy cooking, please tell us when you write.
We have 10 wooden guest houses surrounded by nature. The center is approximately 2 km from Kazıklı Bay, and Akbük is around 15–20 minutes away by car. On your free time you can enjoy swimming, walking, exploring the surrounding countryside and discovering this beautiful part of the Aegean coast.
We are particularly happy to hear from people who are independent, responsible, tidy and comfortable with nature and rural life. We appreciate volunteers who notice what needs to be done and are happy to become part of the daily rhythm of the center.
Long-term stay
Long-term stays
We are also open to responsible individuals or couples who are interested in staying with us long-term and helping to look after the retreat center, wooden houses, garden and property.
Please keep in mind that the center is in a quiet rural location surrounded by nature. During the winter months, living here can be challenging. The weather can be rainy, the center is very quiet, and getting to town, shops and other services can be difficult without your own transportation. For this reason, a winter stay is best suited to independent people who genuinely enjoy rural life, solitude and being close to nature.
If this kind of winter experience is not for you, you are very welcome to join us from March 1 onwards, when our regular volunteer season begins again and the area becomes much easier and more active.
For long-term stays, just let us know when you would like to arrive and approximately how long you would like to stay, and we can discuss what works for both sides.
2027 season
Our new volunteer season begins 1 March 2027, and from March onwards we welcome applications again for our spring, summer and autumn programs.
If you write to us, please tell us a little about yourself, when you would like to come, how long you can stay, and which of these areas you feel most comfortable helping with: cooking/kitchen, gardening, cleaning/house preparation or general retreat support.
We look forward to welcoming people who would like to contribute, share daily life with us and experience a different side of Türkiye. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Staying with us is a chance to experience Turkish family life, local culture and life in a yoga retreat center surrounded by nature. During retreats and trainings, you will meet people from different backgrounds and become part of our yoga community.
You can learn about yoga, the Yoka System, healthy living and our approach to movement and wellbeing. When possible, volunteers are also welcome to join some of our yoga practices and activities. Our meals are mostly traditional and prepared by family members, giving you a chance to discover Turkish home cooking, local ingredients and food traditions.
The center is located in a peaceful, rural part of the Aegean coast, close to Kazıklı Bay and Akbük. The area is surrounded by olive trees, countryside and beautiful bays, with plenty of opportunities for swimming, walking, exploring nearby beaches and experiencing a quieter side of Türkiye away from the busy tourist areas.
We also love learning from our volunteers. Sharing languages, recipes, skills, music, stories and different cultures is an important part of the experience for us. -

Accommodation
If there are available rooms in the wooden houses, volunteers can stay at the retreat center. If the wooden houses are full, they will stay at our volunteer house in Akbük. Each wooden house accommodates two people and has its own bathroom. The volunteer house in Akbük Bay can accommodate up to eight people.
During retreats, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are prepared by us. When there is no retreat taking place, volunteers can use the kitchen and cook for themselves. All ingredients will be provided.
For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, meals are served buffet-style. We place the food on a serving table, and everyone helps themselves. Volunteers help by setting out the plates and food, checking whether anything needs to be refilled or cleaned, and clearing the table after meals. They also help with washing the dishes and keeping the kitchen clean. The food is usually traditional, home-style food prepared by our family. -
